I don't know if this has already been posted, but I was curious about if maybe Sanguine vampires were like psi vamps. Some people say we just crave blood. But is it possible that sangs crave the Pranic energy in blood ? I would like to know everyones input on this. Also, I would think that if a Sang was blood-starved, wouldn't they automatically function like a psychic vampire? at least subconsciously, without any deliberate effort to so.

Hi Ominee, yes this has been discussed previously on this site in other threads. Some believe that sangs crave the same energy as psis. The difference is in how we obtain that energy.

Sangs do not get the same energy from psi feeding, or we would not go through all the preparation and technique for sanguinarian feeding. Cerntinly there can be prana in psi, but it is etheral. It is like drinking a glass of wine, or drinking a glass of whisky; which is prefered? The sang would drink the whisky, in fact, better Jagermeister.

mmmm how to expaline my views on this... I love the taste of blood I will not even try to deny that lol. But yes part of what makes me NEED the blood is not the blood itself bu a mystical/energy part. but its not the same thing I get when I feed as a psy.. at least it does not feel/taste the same.. yes energy has a flavor to me odd i know but it does. Its different but not night and day.. kinda like two varaitons of the same thing if that makes sence. one is simply what i need the otehr will do for awhile but its not what I truely need.

I believe the difference between sangs and psi is that we use blood as a medium to get the energy that psi's can access directly. I'm a starving sang, as I do not have access to blood, other than a rare steak. I know that I do feed on people's energy subconsciously as a backup. However, it's not enough. It keeps me barely functioning. It is also sporadic and unreliable. It keeps the side effects of not feeding tolerable.

My personal belief is that sang vamps use the blood as a medium to get the energy from a donor and a psy vamp has evolved to a level in which this medium is no longer needed.

I belive that we get the same energy from blood as a psi gets from there feeding we just go about it diffrently

Sangs don't really need blood. they think they do - they claim that blood has iron or minerals or something which they cannot get from food - but if their digestive system doesnt work properly, then ingesting blood won't help, coz they cant get what they need that way. the amount they swallow is too small anyway. the blood itself is of no real use.Sangs are either fetishists, or they are actually psy vamps, and dont realise it. it is the act of "feeding", not the blood itself which gives them their energy.

I'm giving this thread and topic a rest.
As for the original topic, I would focus on the definition of the two types of vamps more than trying to figure either one out. ~ Billy
