The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I have a fascination with vampires. Both the mythic tales, history's superstitions, and those in today's world who believe they are vampires.

I believe Dateline did a story last year, using undercover reporters to entrap those claiming to be vampires on Craig's List wanting blood donors.

I remember watching shows about Don Henrie and Michelle Belanger, but one guy sticks out to me like a sore thumb.

His name is Jonathon "The Impaler" Sharkey. He claims to be a Satanic vampire. Does his name sound familiar to anyone? According to his wiki page, he ran for political office multiple times. Even ran for president. Obviously, he's a fringe nut and no one takes his campaigns seriously, but I also read that he has a criminal record that kinda concerned me.

I came across a blog called: www.impalerexposed.info and it had a ton of stuff about his freaky past. Some of it was trivial debunking stuff but the real meat for me was in the crimes. Stalking an ex-girlfriend, harassing a 16 year old teenager because she claimed to be a vampire hunter, threatening to kill a judge and a family, helping a 16 year old run away, taking a mentally ill girl with him to Tennessee to start a vampire cult, and so much more.

What are your guys thoughts about him? He seems like a lunatic but there's something interesting about him. He's like a car wreck you can't look away from.

It all sounds like hype to me and his attempt to come across as people-oriented and being caring for the community fall short in credibility. I do not think his beliefs, penchant for really young girls and actions would ever be accepted.

I agree that he would never be accepted because the media likes to use him as a face for the vampire community.

I know that the Vampire Community wants nothing to do with him.

He's a real person and he's bad news is all I will say about him. He first started a political party for vampires and others. It was so long ago and was in a Yahoo group if I remember right. I have talked to him online, a very long time ago and he seemed very intelligent but the things he does are so out there that it was questionable. He has a very messed up life and I don't hear much about him anymore but he is probably causing mayhem somewhere. He use to have the vampire community up in arms but he isn't often mentioned anymore. He's kind of old news.

According to the blog, he met a 15-year old girl two hours away from his place in Tampa. After her mother found out, things got dark. He even went to her place of work before she even knew who he was. The blog did an interview with the mother. This guy is indeed bad news.

I also agree that he's clever in some ways. He has the sly politician personality. He knows how to deflect a discussion. However, how his lies and madness are being debunked with actual proof other than just the common sense that he's a liar.

I just think he gives the vampire image a bad name for those who practice the lifeforbidden. He needs to be isolated as the lone nut that he is. Just my opinion.

This is very true but those who have been part of the community avoid him like the plague. We don't even discuss the man anymore. When I spoke with him it must have been something like seven years ago or so. (could have been longer than that. I don't remember) Long before it was found out how perverted he is. Much of what people thought was rumor and innuendo which proved to be pretty much fact. He wasn't a young man then. I consider him a looney. You are the first I have seen mention this man in a very long time. He's not taken seriously as far as I know by anybody. His private actions were simply not acceptable. Therefore no matter if some of his views might have had merit...he made his bed and no one wants anything to do with the man. I wonder why anything about him is even kept online?

I brought him up because I watched a prank movie about him on YouTube. I wasn't sure if he was playing along until the end of the movie where they showed a news clip of him being arrested for threatening a judge and the president. I was curious to look into him more and found a ton of crap about him. A lot of bad stuff.

I honestly think not talking about him is a bad move because it makes it easier for him to go after minors. Is he a joke? Yes, but his preying on minors and threatening their families is anything but a joke. A spotlight of his misdeeds needs to be made known in any way possible. That kind of attention is helpful because it might be a deterrent.

It is an all to common occurrence, delusional people who think themselves vampires. In my home town there was a case of a trucker that kidnapped a fugitive wanted in connection with a murder, he claimed to be a vampire.

That is only a single case, there are likely cases in each state if one combed the archives of news reports.

Interesting points of view. Before his fascination with vampires...he seemed to have had a thing for the Rocky persona. Later, he became obsessed with Vlad Tepes and infused that into his character. He does like blood.

He does live in a fantasy world and he's been court ordered to seek mental health treatment, but it never stuck.

Thing is...I think people throw around the "mental illness" thing too much to excuse disturbing behavior. Sometimes, a pill doesn't cure someone's disgusting behavior.

As I have mentioned prior, a lot of attention was made of this man. It flew through the community and there were warnings. The average person would have never seen it. He was trying to ingratiate himself into the community and when I say that I mean the US community. There are groups all over the world, some of them quite old and various takes on vampirism in groups that are entirely different. He went after the Americans and he found out who's who let me tell you and some thought him interesting at first and the idea of a political party representing vampires, otherkin, etc. Mostly they were trying to find out about the man and what he was actually proposing. That became abundantly clear. Most who don't know about him are outside of the mainstream community and run across him in places like YouTube etc. Trust me if you went about trying to warn community members, they would just say, WE KNOW. He has also been in media articles, the man has tried to run for political office more than once so anyone who has never heard of him wasn't paying attention. I believe he even had television interviews but he's fringe and no one pays any attention to him anymore because law enforcement seems to have curbed some of his antics. He got into trouble over who he was having relations with being that they were teenagers. I don't know why young girls found him that interesting since when I talked to him years ago I think he was something like forty then. But we know about this side too and warnings spread. He is shunned.

I know people within the community are aware of his antics. I read a post from the AVA denouncing him and Sharkey talked about it in one of his gross videos.

He's been arrested but also has skated some charges.

How he gets away with it....I have no clue.

These people usually exhibit signs of being extremely charming towards others. Being charming is a good thing, but given time, the facade slips away and the madness really would be on full display, ie a sociopath. I could be wrong, but even if he has some worthy ideologies, the masses would never give their support to something so ludicrous.

You're just telling the truth Lordess. He is a charming guy but his other actions cancel it out over all.

It's so strange because he seems to know the legal system well (Then again, so do criminals) yet seems delusional on other aspects of it. That's when his weird fantasies take over.

For example, when he was in Indiana being tried for threatening a judge and his family, Sharkey claimed he didn't violate the law because he was following vampire law. He claimed if anyone broke the law, it was the judge for violating vampire law.

Crazy stuff.

If I remember right he has degrees. I don't remember in what anymore since it's been so long ago and I don't pay attention to anything he does. I haven't heard much about him lately. Yes they had warnings in the AVA which is in Atlanta GA and they had them in the VVC (Voices of the Vampire Community of which I am a member started by Merticus of the AVA) and other groups. We know who the cuckoos are most of the time. There's a bio in IMDB on him but it doesn't go into everything about him even though long.

His degree is bogus. He does not have a Ph.D. The blog www.impalerexposed.info covers that. Also, he claims to have a wife called Rachel. She's also a fake along with a half-sister/lover naked Kat. All debunked. The guy makes a lot of absurd claims that are simply not true.

I think the bottom line (AsphaltTears is me too) is that people have been paying attention, Jonathon Sharkey is clearly in need of mental health care and it doesn't matter about the details or whether this was debunked or that is debunked, he simply is someone who needs to be ignored because interaction with him only fuels his delusional causes. The media attention eggs him on and anything written about him he can try to refute of comment upon. I think if he was involved with physical sports as he claimed he got some sort of head injury and now he's just living out something that he created for himself in his mind. He is best left in obscurity and ignored. If he breaks the law they will do their job. The last girl he was with was nineteen from what I have read although he claims he was only trying to help the sixteen year old from an abusive situation in her home. Who knows and he was meddling since she was underage. It's obvious he likes young women. He isn't the first nor the last but as I stated he needs to have less attention directed to anything he does except law breaking and the police have their eye on him.

I think you're making a lot of assumptions. Ignoring him is also ignoring his dangerous behavior. His last stint was with a 15 year old in Florida. Child predators like him shouldn't be ignored and those things debunked are important because he uses them to lure in those girls.

If you want to ignore him then go ahead, but I think that's a mistake.

If I were you, I'd dig a little deeper or do what you suggested and just ignore it. Read or listen to the interviews of some of the families, and read the long list of court records because if anyone isn't taking him seriously, it's the law.

The more I explore, the more I see a man getting away with a lot of stuff and people just dismissing it.

I have the same view as the community. He is shunned and we don't interact with him. Yes there is mention of him interacting with a fifteen year old. Most heard of this but it was years ago. There was all sorts of debate and talk about it elsewhere. He is the type of person I guess who will always be stirring up trouble but if you want to go on a crusade and you think you are more qualified than the police then more power to you. You go right ahead and do that but usually in the community when an overall decision has been made we all abide by it. We don't interact with this man because it isn't in any one's best interest to do so. We don't want the community to be associated to him. So we send out warnings and we expect adults to act appropriately. There are many places the public cannot access or see where we talk as a group and they are not in Facebook, lol.

This is a really messed up person and if you can viably do something if there is anything you can do then do so if that is what your aim is, but watch out for him he has sued people before. But I'm not you and I have different feelings on the topic because I talked to this man personally and I consider him dangerous. I don't know what anyone can do other then know of his existence and be careful. I wish you well because I know you have the best of intentions in your heart.

The 15-year old thing happened months ago, not years ago. As for your little comment about the police..do you really want to go there? Police have been found to muck up investigations and overlook things all the time. I don't get your infallible view of them.

As for your community, I don't abide by one, but if you want to follow them...as you said, more power to you.

So I have been following this thread, and what I am seeing is confusing me. Why you are chastising someone for agreeing with you? I don't see why. Unless it is your intent to incite Rage, and Set off Blaring Sirens, and Whistles in a Campaign against this guy. I think that the person you are chastising has already made it clear that you have merit in your concern. However what can be, relative to what has been done is just that. Unless he steps out of line again. Obviously the guy beat the rap, and skated.. very few people that skate are ever off the radar of the powers that be. Unless one seeks to incite vigilantism against this smuck then what else are you proposing? Spell out your strategy please. There is something virginal and pure these fanatics look out for. They prefer the younger ones. I am not quite sure for what reason, though. However, I do know they "prey" on the younger ones as they are easily influenced.

Sinistra, that's not the girl I'm talking about. Paige was from Minnesota and was 16 during that time. The girl I'm referring is 15 and lives in Florida. It's all the Impaler Exposed website. The guy even interviews the girl's mother. However, it's more than fine that you have nothing else to say on the matter.

MadScientist, I'll address your remarks now. Yes, her and I both agree he's nuts. It's our method that's differ. I didn't propose any plans. I just said that child molesters who use fantastical yet false claims isn't best left ignored. The "vampire community" ignoring him doesn't stop him from preying on minors but sites like Impaler Exposed and Impaled by Logic help raise awareness by showing his patterns. My point is that it's good that they exist to expose him because it's all in one place vs. the one topic covered in a random news article or blog. It's all there to show it case by case.

As for how or why he's able to get away with it. Various reasons, but one of the main reasons he's able to get out of dodge is because he moves state to state. New Jersey, Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota, and Florida. It's easier to get out of dodge unless you're wanted for murder or something.

It is as I say important to be clear as to ones intent, and evaluate those who are clearly in your corner. Though they may not appear to be, or actually are not currently enthused as you are about the matter. It is clear that in the past that there was indeed proactive action made against this smuck. People can only do so much in a virtual capacity. The fact that such sites are dedicated to him is very telling as too what has been done. Thanks for pointing out that such sites exist. Along with the insight into his skipping states. It is a bummer he wasn't deemed a sex offender.. thus requiring him to register. I suspect that his psychopathic charm enchanted the girl and corrupted her testimony. I rest well knowing that he is exposed as much as possible, which is hopefully sufficient enough to thwart his gaining any more momentum in his motive operand i.

Part of the reason individuals like him prefer teens (teenies as he calls them so openly) is that they are ineffective at their "mind games" with people their own age. Any adult can sway the thoughts of a minor. I am sure he feels really accomplished. From reading a few backdated articles i think the situation was handled well.. though perhaps not sufficiently enough, they could have got him on a number of charges that sadly hadn't existed at that time. But have since been implemented. it is cases like these that set precedences for further such cases.

While there are posts about him that expose him, there aren't many that collectively gather it in once place. My beef with wiki is that they list Rachel (Rakhil) as his wife. She doesn't exisit. She's made up by his delusional behavior and uses it to harass other girls. Either by threatening them or a sad attempt to make them jealous.
