How to Become a Vampire in Six Easy Lessons by Madeline X
In 1985 this little book was release, apparently from a vamp who fell in love with a mortal and became mortal herself… now on all accounts they believe she was real and this book im after … do any of you have a copy?
If you do why don’t you fly over and bite me lol

Have you checked google to make sure it does exist? Try floogle.com if you find it on google they should send you to a place that you may purchase it I would think.

Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this title will be in stock again
How mysterious. This must be some book. I would really think it could be on Ebay or Amazon. I've found the most random stuff on both of those sites...

I just went there and they said they had it the book I was thinking of wasn't this on. *confused* But this is the one your looking for I think. Go here and let me know if I helped

that's pretty dumb, vamps come naturally, you shouldnt turn yourself into a vamp by reading a book
XTCraver:acctuly witches can turn themselfs into vampires esily so i'm sure a book can teach someone else how to do it too
and then there are some who would prefer to become... in the good old fashioned way >:)
Good old fashion way …… if only … sighs wishing to feel taken and have ones neck ripped open and contents drunk to then wake up in a grave and dig ones way out only to find Buffy waiting … bugger
Real Vamps nowadays don’t even have the time of night for people like myself lol
If I turn I will be visiting you guys lol
yes but the houses of the vampires have forbidden it and unlsess u find a rogue vampire to do it (whitch is dangerious) u can't do it
I've never heard of it but it sounds like a cute piece of fiction.
O.o!
Say that again!?
It was written by a vamp who fell in love with a mortal, and thus also became mortal?
...
Conventional thinking would suggest that rather the opposite would happen. ... Where is the source for this!? If this ever happened to be true, I'd be interested in finding out why!
...
I found it! you can get it at http://www.vampires.nu/pages/Books.cfm
Let me know if you found it .
I've looked every where including the plublisher seems to be out of print. (it also seems that they might have put it out by themselves) So you might have to buy it from a person who owns it.
I have always had the best of luck with qpb.com and alibris.com when looking for things that were "off the beaten path" shall we say
I hate to say it but this is the dumbest thing I ever heard. Where did you hear about this book? I am sorry but I cannot stop laughing at the absurdity of any book written that states something so ludicrous.
Wait, this is an R. L. Stine book? o.0 Fiction... fiction fiction. It might not be the one the original poster is looking for.
Oh wait, I see it. All of the "order" links on The Realm take you to Amazon. Used to be a part of that site for a long time.
I havent heard of the book personally but it sounds rather good....To be honest if you want to go out & do it then go ahead and do it...dont listen to anyone else who is discouraging! Best of Luck!!
When I stopped laughing I looked at who the publisher was for the book in 1986 and found out where you can get it. giggle
In 1965 a Dr Jeanne Keyes Youngson founded the Count Dracula Fan Club. Over the years it evolved into The Vampire Empire and their publishing company is called the Dracula Press. They published this book and it is available through their website bookstore. I have to state that I have emailed with Elizabeth Miller so I take this group semi serious as she is the foremost authority on Bram Stoker. The organization is located in New York City and their mailing address is there along with other contact information. Their books and other information are listed at this URL.
The home page for the Vampire Empire is here:

Even with the book..I dont think its possible to "turn yourself". Being yourself isnt as easy as turning on and off a light switch.
It's not believed to be true by most of the community. The majority believe one has to be born a vampyre. This is the majority but not all. There are those that believe in genetic deSfects. Some that believe it is purely a spiritual thing. One in particular who runs the Psion guild believes it is caused by a symbiont infesting the individual and it can only be removed by a Psion and she is speaking of sanguine types. She firmly believes this and is very intelligent but most cosider her hypothesis as loony. There are some I have talked to that are from Eastern Europe that believe one can be transformed by certain manipulations of a mundanes energy field but other than hearsay I have not known this to be true. They also say that some who become donors at certain times develop a pseudo condition which stops when they are no longer a donor. As for being "turned" as this term keeps popping up we laugh at people who say this. It is not believed to be anything more than a gaming term or fictional.
if a witch can turn him/herself into a vampire what kind of vampire does (s)he become?
As for the book, try Abe books, also search for Rare Books and use the searches and sites that come up for that to aid in the search. I found a couple books that way that i couldnt' find through any traditional search.
Sounds like an interesting read to me. I've always been told though that once you are a vampire there is not turning back so I don't see how this would be true but I would read it anyway just out of curiosity.
Yeah I've tried to find it myself, just out of curiosity. However, my logic would tell me that it would be impossible to "change yourself" into a vampire.... and if one were a vampire, be able to change to a mortal. lmao. Sounds pretty funny. But the book might be entertaining.
Wow some interesting comments
Im searching hard … I wish to use it in a chaos ritual im trying out on the grave of the highgate vamp …. Don’t tell me you don’t know of this famous vampire stories in London who was killed not so long ago …. 1970 I do believe
Id love to find the book so so I can flip thru it. See what they have to say. To believe it...doubtful..but just interested in what the author has to say.
It's probably been deleted, titles that have stopped selling eventually don't get reproduced by the publishing house.
Your best bet would be to keep checking the usual trading and selling sites, it might turn up there eventually.
thank you all in your efforts… it’s historical and interesting to me.
Im wondering what form of magic is used … it also opens up lots of questions like… is there real vampire magic unique to vampires.
Merodak thank you if you could look for it
After deleting numerous "I don't know" and "I'll go find it" responses, I am closing this thread, as it seems unlikely that any new sources will be found.
If so, please contact the thread poster directly.
