well i have a few pics like that and i think that a loved one who has passed might trying to still be part of each of our lives

personally i believe that it happens for a reason i think that the spirits use this form as a way to let it be known that they are around i think it is possible that a orb is the pure energy of a spirit.

I've had a few pictures taken before with a flash of light appearing in them, but not on a continuous basis to make me believe that it was a spirit or anything like that.

The ones ive usally seen in photos, are because of light in the back ground, ethier refracting or reflecting of something to create an orb shape.
and as for flashes of light no.
however once i did see mysterious circles like orbs going round in a pattern outside my house for like 5 mins, i took a picture of them but it never showed up in the pic, my dad saw it as well so its not just me going crazy.

Yes, frequently. Im not sure what they are, but ive seen them floating in particular repetitive patterns. Seems pacing over graves, or dodging around trees. or just floating down the street/sidewalk.....its fascinating....sorry bout the spelling, yay for insomnia....

I am not sure what to believe really. As far as I can see, if the camera lens has no dust on it, and the air is free of floating dust, then the orbs are created on the film or medium but some other means, either refractive properties of the material being photographed or an unknown source of light (possible infra-red - which shows up in cameras as a while light, usually a blotch). This is what I mainly believe.

However in the instance where I took one picture of a room with a dog in it, then took several more, one of the pictures in the middle of the series had some orbs, the other few had none. Either dust was floating in the air and my camera flashed and it was refracted back to the lens, or it was actual energy or some unknown origin. I am not able to say, with what limited information I have.

It is nonetheless fascinating to read about other people's ideas on this subject. I look forward to reading more of your ideas. :)

I have got pictures of orbs,wisps of what looks like smoke,And a picture of an orb passing by my face.And you can not see my face but if you look inside the orb you can see something in it.But most of the orbs I have gotten on film not digital are dust kicked in to the air I all ways try to recreate the conditions inorder to make sure it was not something else.

I have seen them both "live" and in photos that I've taken. In photos, it's hard to say if it is an equipment malfunction or if it's something else. In person, I believe that they are spirits.

I have seen them, spirits caught in a flash as they say, but others will dispute this as a spec of dust or some light reflection. who is to say. believe in spirits caught on film.

i definatley think it is a good possibility that these orbs and flashes are spirits this also leaves me to wonder if when in spirit form do we move faster and if so is that why only glimpses of flashes and sightings of orbs can be seen at times.

My 2 year old neice is often photographed with orbs inthe pics. It's strange because they will all gather around her and not anyone else in the picture. Makes me wonder what they like about the kid so much...

very interesting...i think that certian people atract such energies i myself have noticed them around animals at times.

I've seen it twice, at my mom's place, she has 2 lackes and in between, when the mist is thick, I saw twice an orb of light, as to what it is, if its spirits or not, I could'nt tell, I kind a freaked out and ran away

I have seen orbs myself some years ago.

It was quite a show, on the wall in the room I shared with my partner.

I was asleep and he woke me up to ask where the coloured lights were coming from.

At the time his Father was seriously ill ( he passed over a couple of days later )

All I could think was it was some sort of sign to say we know you are worried and are with you.

It was very moving, but have not seen any since.

I have seen pictures that have orbs in them but because I did not witness them myself they didn't mean anything to me.

i find it facinating that such events can take place and that we are able to have such experiences as this but i still feel it can be hard in ruling out what is real and what is not as well as just being a coincidence.

I have pictures of orbs as well from the house where my daughter died but the pictures were took before she passed...I believe to that these are spirits...

Interesting that this subject would come up. I have a photo that I took while visiting a civil war battle site in Va. The photo I took was of an entrance underground and it was blocked off. I took the picture, but felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. When I develeoped the film, on either side of the entrance was a white fuzzy/blur in the photo and everthing else int he phot was clear.

I've has some skeptics tell me it was sunlight, but I tell them that it was overcast at the time I tookt he photo.

I get flashes of lights and orbs all the time, never on camera of course.

I think they are spirits, what attracts them is anyone guess.

i think it is possible in this plain of existance that there are certian energy spots that may atract spirits far more than other areas and as a result i feel this is why sometimes we can see such orbs and or flashes of light which spirits emulate.

Long time ago we were parked on a dirt road sitting on back of truck and all of s sudden appearing on the right side of us was a blue diamond shaped object, within a blink of the eye it was across the road and gone..isnt sure to this day exactly what it was..Amazed and freaked us out

I have taken photographs of things that have had orbs and flashes of ligh in them, but i doubt that they are ghosts or spirits, i think it is just a reflection of light reflecting off of something, a problem with the film, or dust on the camera lens causing flare...

It could be just dust, But if it's a flash of light it could be reflecting off a mirror . Now some larger orbs are energy and that haven't manifested yet.

i have several photos with them. I belive they are sprits.

In the strange case of my photo I am a paranormal investigator
and I have taken plenty of photos of orbs and wisps of smoke.
How ever this one was something the caught me off guard and I still can not recreate It.
#1 We used a brand new digital camera that i still use on my investigations
and It has no flash It uses natural lighting which we currently used we have no mirrors in my kitchen and the over head light was not on the light was burnt out.
#2 while the picture was being taken me and my amature photographer felt a slight change in room tempature and I had felt warm water spray but sticky I accused my photographer of spitting on me and made him cry(moms do that)
#3 we did not see anything unusual with the other 7 pictures that were taken and 3 of those were me taken in the same room in the same place he just wanted to get funny face poses for myspace i think lol (poke fun at mom week)
we inspected the camera and made sure no finger prints were on the lens
then we sent it off with an e-mail explaining all of this to 4 ghost buster sites
they tore the picture apart.inverted it to see if i had layered it or that there were other objects.2 of them got back with me and said they could not disprove that it was an orb. Just that they had not seen one that big. In conclusion just because you haven't seen it dose not mean it dose not exist mine was an accident i have not gotten any others like it since.

I think our dead loved ones try to still be apart of our lives. And when we are gone off to a place we have never been its just spirits communicating with us. And trying to be seen.
Or maybe just passing by not really meaning to get in the way.

Yes I have seen them. I was taught they are concentrations of energy. I believe what attacts them is someone of high spiritual energy. Unfortunantly, not all made up positive energy

i've had a couple of pics of me taken at a friends house and they always have orbs in them. they were in different spots in the house.

i personally think orbs and flashes of light will always be left unexplained and only valuable to those that have actually seen/taken such images i personally have a few pictures i have taken as well but nothing majour.

The first time i ever saw an orb i thought it was just dust on the camera lens. Before i took the 2nd picture i took the camera & made sure there wasnt any dust or flecks of anything on it. I believe that the orbs are angels that are always around us....

i believe that ghost,spirits ect can show threw a picture i have taken a couple of the same pics just incase one diodnt come out by chance and i have had a few pics come out with things on them that wasnt in the other pic of the same one and i have tooken pics befor with not takeing a 2 nd pic. and i have had little weired marks on it.. i always believe that it can be something kool as of a ghost or ect. if i know its not my camera or film i feel sometimes where you are there may be a ghost thats wants to be seen and not forgotton or what ever the reason is

an orb appeared in a pic i took just 2 weeks ago. it was a brand new cam too, so no malfunction. i like to think that it was a spirit.

there is an old 'assylum' on hte edge of my town.. where they used to send people who had Tuburculosis, and later a mental institute where they preformed lobotomies etc, even driving by there can grant you the ability to see many orbs of different colors and sizes. its called Padova City... really quite creepy

I've taken a couple of photos with something weird on them, there's one in my portfolio in fact, but never orbs of light.

There was an interesting thread about this a short while back with photos of orbs. I can't recall the thread title but I am sure my fellow house member Minx will be happy to show you the photo :)

I had these pictures from my attic of orbs. Another time I had taken a picture of this rabbit and there was a misty fog over the picture. It was really cool.

I get loads of orbs in photos taken in and around my house. They don't go past the gate of my yard though.

I've tried looking for reflection sources and dust in the cameras, but I haven't been able to rationalize them yet.

I choose to believe that they are spirits of some kind or another. Until I can prove otherwise at least.

No flashes of light that I've ever gotten though.

Now i do not believe that all orb pictures are reflection, dust or flare, im just saying i think a lot of the pictures have other explanations than being on orb...

well as much as i know thta they do it to let us know that they do exist and are near us.

I've heard a lot of theory behind all this, however, have never witnessed it for Myself. I'm the type that has to see to believe for the most part. I would say that unless I had deffinate proof of the phenomenon happening, or seeing it for Myself I would have a hard time believing that it were nothing more than an equipment malfunction, or someone trying to pull a fast one..

in nearly all of the pictures taken of me as a baby/toddler there is a flash of light going through me then once i was 2 ½ it stopped happening.

Strange? I am unsure. All i can say is that when i was 2 ½ i was pronounced dead and the doctors have no idea how i started breathing again as they had stopped all rescussitation 5 minutes previously maybe the light was a warning or maybe a guardian of some sort.

I have seen them. They show up and then carry out what seems like repetive motions....Them changing colors is also interesting.

I remember in alot of my old pictures there used to be lights and strange things. When I got a new camera that seemed to change. The only thing that hasn't changed in any of the pictures with my new camera is the fact of the light in my room seems to have some spiritual significance to it. The camera I have now is way more accurrate then the others but it still seems to capture the light that comes from my ceiling. Its only whenever the light is on though. In past pictures I could actually stand there and act like I was holding it up.

Some have said that its part of me, something I have created. Which I seem to believe.

When I have taken pictures with my closet I seem to get strange things there to. Like red light and a few white lights. Its really very strange.

I also forgot in my last post, I sometimes see strange lights in the bathroom when the light is off. I also sometimes see them in the hallway. At certain points I almost seen a figure...which had a dark form to it. o.o

They're dust motes. Nuff' said.

Not exactly orbs of light, but my friend and I did get some really thought proviking images in some photos taken at a recent book release party. What came out in the digital image was a completely different thing than what our eyes were seeing physically. But then, we knew there was a little bit if a difference about the person(s) in the photos anyway. *heh*

I haven't seen any orbs of light in pictures, but I do have a picture of my sister with a smoky figure floating above her head.

The flashes of light from a camera taking the pictures are from teh camera. but with orbs its hard to determine. with orbs it can be a bug or dust. but it is a belief that orbs are a manfest of a spirit. or an angel. I believe this is true.

Like i said before a lot of the orb pictures out their are probably explainable by dust, flare ect.. But i think a lot could be the spirit of a dead person too...

I haven't seen flashses of light but i've seen an orb before i've taken a picture before i as takingone of my Grandma and my Grandpa had passed away not long ago. i thought this could have been his spirit perhaps. Hmm *thinks* but in some cases yeh it could just be flecks of dust but i do believe they are there tho.

i have seen orbs in pictures but i have had an experence with them in person once one night around 1 am my little newphew start talking and we thought he was talking to himself he was running around the room yelling and pointing me and my sister shut the lights off so he would settle down and that is when we seen them there was four of them a purple one, orange, red, and black the weirdest thing was is how he was talking to them sounded like he was talking to our dad a couple hours later our grandma , our dad's mom, died

very fasinating i must say.. i find that kids/children can see and feel stuff much easier as us adults do particularly the younger ones.

My twins see things I only feel I can feel a cold draft snap a pic and get orbs.They tell me at that momment that grandpa was there.

yes, we were in a car and we saw a bright light right next to the window and we took a picture of it and when we got it developed it looks like an angel.

I have not seen them, but I have seen others that have experienced it and do believe that they are spirits. I believe that the reason they see them because they are close to whereever that person died and close to the spirit world at that particular time.

I have seen these but never accuatly thought that they could be spirits....

I also believe that children can see things that adults can not, i think it is because their minds has not been corrupted yet and they are still innocent......

I would be more prone to believe in orbs if it wasn't for yevette fielding and that entire orb based programme "Most Haunted" ......................................However there may be some truth in it, there are now some top scientists admitting that thay cannot find any other cause for them in some cases

Orbs are a way for spirits get around and are manifested by the spirit or entity pulling energy for the air around them. that and dust particals attach to the orbs making them more pronounced

i think it is possible that such spirit energy can attract other objects as well

some pictures that I have taken have had orbs, flashes of light, and even some sort of mist in them. I never really gave it much though and contributed these strange occurences to something that was going wrong with the camera.

I think in 80% of the orb pictures people takes the camera is the problem, but the other 20% could be real orbs, but now with photoshop you can not believe things you see on the internet, so i think for a lot of people it is hard to believe that orbs are real unless they see them for themselves...

yes and we were unsure what the white lights were. we took the same picture with another camera and the white light had moved to a different location...so i believe that it was a spirit

i do believe that cameras do malfunction at times causing weird image affects but i also feel some of these orb images are real and do occur.
