ok i was looking around web sites and found this small pasting but the story of the vampire and how it came to be,
"In ancient times, the world was rules by mighty "gods". They where not human, but let themselves be worshiped by the humans. SOme posed as protectors of the humans, others used them.
The Gods had called for a couple Guardians of different things (time, nature, energy, death, etc.)
One of the guardians was a prince, which did not mean he was related to the king of the Gods, but it was an indication of his high rank, as both being very powerfull and influential.
Then something happened and he was condemned for commiting "a sin sweeter than honey"
The king of the gods did not strip him of his rank, but made him a vampire instead, so it would be very hard for him to commit his sin again.
Altought the Gods where both living on earth and in the heavens, he was permanantly denied access of heaven, though the other Gods still respected him.
Because the King had chosen not to kill him, he had hopes of one day being returned to his rightfull position in Heaven.
As time went by, the Gods visited earth less often.
Altough he was a vampire and needed blood, he had none other of the vampiric weaknesses, like not being able to stand sunlight.
The vampires created afterwards were actually a project gone wrong. They where made by one of the dark Gods, but being only human, they where weak compared to the God-Vampire, and had none of his powers. They where not made by the vampire-god and he actually chose to kill them and drink their blood instead of that of innocent humans.
According to this legend the "the oldest vampire" still lives today, biding his time. "
now this was taken from
ancientworlds.net
do you find this could be true, or have you heard similar storys and if so share,
i think it holds some truth, if you dont go by the christian belifes and teachings, could be a good way on how this happened
i find this section of some interest so are you in fact saying that there was a god in the form of a vampire now i wonder before his sin who were his followeres in what region.
i feel that putting a vampire in a once godlike image and showing he was cast down because of a sin shows some kind of weakness in that matter and also it makes me wonder what were the religous belifs of such a being as i only know vampires to be of social manner and nothing more.
im not sure if im saying this is truth but i think its like a good idea, and im not sure why honestly, but im trying to look for more info this is realy instreasting
I think it is a very interesting story, and it is a good explanation for how the real vampires came about. But I didn't think that vampires had a religious belief, I am not sure, but I thought that in the creed it said 'Worship nothing but your own ego' I could be mistaken as I am not a vampire.
That sounds a little like a story I once wrote. A group of powerful aliens each coming from a different world came to Earth and posed as Gods. Some of them mated with humans to create hybrid beings. One of them was the father of the species which was known as Vampires.
i do wonder if this is related some how to the cain and able story
One has to wonder if that story is where the writers of Blade:Trinity came up with their "true vampire", the fact that all vampires who were created afterwards were "projects gone wrong"
Very true. I wish there was a way to know for sure.. to go back in time.. and see if the Vampire did start as a Diety.. or what exactly..
So no, I don't think there is or was a vampire god. And the whole looking to Cain and Abel for vampire history is so 'over'.
"a sin sweeter than honey" ??
Well yeah, proly the guy killed his brother as always..... nothing new, nothing to especialy judge..... Freedom of choice is what matters, and the strength to do it.
What pisses me of, are the actions of this so called "God" guy, wich is supervising everything, everybody that is.....
So much that this punished poor chap wasnt able not even to mate properly(bite, or whatever), so a race of when compared to this "God" perfect one superviser, mongrels were created.
With that a new point of view as well, wich is not correct??
Fuck'm I say.
Firstly, it would help to have the link to the actual page where this excerpt was taken from, since I can find no reference to it on either the ancientworlds site, or google.
Without reading the article, I have trouble coming to accept the many assumptions and hypothesis laid out in this statement, especially since I can't see where the sources for them are.
Ancientworlds itself also holds a disclaimer, which disavows responsibility for the accuracy of any information posted there, making it a similar, but much less reliable user-submitted wikipedia.
In short, this is in my opinion, pure conjecture which someone patched together from numerous mythologies and is in fact, nonsense.
I think that many mythological stories have some sort of truth in them. its finding the truth in it that is hard. i cant say its not true.. but i also cant say that it is. but i think every story has a bit of truth. passing it down over centuries does cause much of the meaning to go down the tubes. but what is it that people really want anyways? isnt it something to believe in?
A fasinating story of a god who is vampiric, yet many stories are around of the creation of the first vampire, yet we seem to search for the truth yet never come closer for we speculate untold some artifact id given. could it happen yes. like to know more.
That sounds like a very plausible theory and I would love to look more into it as I have never heard this story before but like bloodlust said there does seem to be some semblance of truth in most every myth.
This might in some way be related to the so called "ancient astronomer" rank-&-file gods as penned by authors like Zechariah Sitchin & Erick von Daniken amongst others.
Sounds very unlikely and imposible and irrational. I like the story though; sounds like something I will someday be reading my children before bed. HAHA
I think the desire to believe in that comes from the longing to belong and have a reason for what we are. We have neither as vampires. We just are and I have given up worrying about it.
I do not think it could be a vampire god or god like, it sounds to contradictory to the definition itself, other gods making him a vampire god, while the others would respect him? usually if a "god" was condamn for a crime that makes him guilty to a point of loosing his right to "heaven" then he should be fear, not respected.
There is no Vampire God!
The first vampire was created by a ghost infusing himself with the body of a human.
It is an interesting thought.......But for me its just a part of the many theories hanging around that suggests the origin of vampires...
There are vampires of every culture even as far as Japan, i beileve it to be some what true very good artical,. Interesting,. I believe there is a God of vampires everything has a God of a God a higher God, and Goddess,
The vampires that feel guilty of what they do they are usually the ones with heart, and care,
Vampire God.. I dont think so.. Look back into your myths and legends.. Most say Vlad was the earlist noted of vamp type behavior. Was he a god.. he denounced any religion in many ways..
(I may be wrong in that statement but my opinion, so if I am please forgive my ignorance)
I do not subscribe to the notion that Vampires or any other creatures are the manifestation of some fallen God(s) or other powerful entities.
There is but one God and that is a creature of sheer will. God willed the cosmos into existence from nothingness. It was not some physical act of building over 6 days or any other fable, it was an act of sheer will.
The very fabric of the universe and every creature and particle in it is essentially caught up within that act of will and serve as physical and spirit manifestations of that act of will.
Vampires are just one of many forms of existence that have found a way to straddle the boundary between the phycial sphere and the spiritual sphere, they exist partly in both realms but not entirely in either.
I do not beleive in any gods, therefore, this text would be a fantazy and in no way credible to my eyes.
Plus why if the vampire was a god, who can stop a god? According to the defenition of gods, no one, not even antoher god.
There was a God that created Vampyres but it's not like that. If anything find the Book of Nod and then tell me what's up :)
hmmm this is interesting. i like the fact that the vampires odf this lore are not undead
I would personally agree with the above post!
Seriously though- many things that we create, and that we nurture as an idea or a feeling, get totally out of control, and we end up ascociating purely with celestial beings of some sort- if you want to believe that then obviously thats fine, but perhaps we just made our own ideas for once?
i dont think there is any truth whatsoever in this vampire god, just another legend like that of the greek and roman gods
Sounds to me as if you had read some scripts from the Cthulu mythos, the same story which made the VTM and the Legacy of Kain series.
If it were not true, damned good story.
If it were true, then I would suggest crossreferencing it with the legend of the Compte de St. Germaine
well there is truth to that in a since but if we wre the gods then how was we found
If you are going to recount such a tale, it would be nice had you provided some online reference to same or at the very least the country/culture of origin. Only in that manner might those few of us here for whom scholarship matters have been able to research the tale and opine accordingly.
It is a fact, whether welcome or otherwise, that we create god(s) in our own image. Thus for those here believing themselves to be vampires (though unable at all to qualify either fictionally or historically), it was only a matter of time before someone considered this question. The answer is a simple one: do you desire a "vampire god"? If so, then one will be created by someone to satisfy that desire. And if popular enough, a cult will also be created to be used -- as are all religions and cults -- to dominate and usurp power and money from "believers."
As regards an actual historical precedent for such a "vampire god" or gods, there is such to be found. However to be recognized as such would require that those here actually attempt a scholarly look at historical vampirism, which had nothing at all to do with blood drinking or energy sucking, both characteristics being complete fictions. And as such acknowledgment is not very popular here... so also is the truth regarding who and what the original "vampire" gods were.
Thus, let the fictions reign here supreme as always.
Wow upir. thats all i can say. there was one thread on religions where i tried to say something very similar to what you wrote here. however so, i failed miserably compared to your wording. you hit it on the nose.
Could possibly hold an inch of truth. There are many stories about vampire Gods.
UpirLikhyj
please read the forume in full before you claim i did not givre the info , its at the bottom please next time take the time to read

I read your entire forum entry. The only online reference you provided was simply "ancientworlds.net". This is nothing more than another online community similar in many respects to vampirerave.com in which people can become members, create profiles and personas, and discuss their opinions on history. This site is absolutely huge in both scope and focus dwarfing by many times this vampirerave.com site. Thus to attempt claiming to have provided us the online source for your "vampire god" reference in giving us "ancientworlds.net" is as ridiculous as claiming to have provided others the online source to this particular forum entry by giving "vampirerave.com" as the full URL. Talk about trying to find the proverbial online needle in a haystack. Additionally, ancientworlds.net is as filled with fictitious portrayals of history parading as factual as is this site.
Again I ask, where is this "vampire god" online reference? Provide for us an actual URL we can look up, find, and read!
BloodLust1724 -
Thank you very much for your high praise. It was truly as appreciated as it was undeserved. ;)
Upir,
I understand what you are saying, but come on. Really. I thought this was an open discussion of ideas. Not a history lesson. We don't all have a billion dusty old books to site line and verse from. Granted the information could be better, but she did state where she got it. Pluse it opens up new ideas from even "fictisious" sources. If I wanted to hear lecture material I would attend just that, a lecture. Relax......Maybe even tyr blinking once.
OniKumo -
While the importance of historical references in any "open discussion of ideas" regarding claimed historical precedents ought to be self evident to everyone, apparently there are those here for whom fiction alone suffices.
However for the rest of us for whom knowledge actually matters in all "open disucssion(s) of ideas," we continue to await the posting here of an actual URL to the claimed "vampire god" reference.
Upir,
Breath...
Your missing the point. Any creation "Myth" will have no real histrorical reference. Thats like using the tale of Beowulf. Verbal records to written records always change. All she is really asking is what your opinion is on this "myth" and if you had any you would care to share? For that no URL is really needed.
UpirLikhyj
i think you are missing the point of the forume, i never claimed this was real, only a story of how the vampire god could have been created, i asked if any one had hurd the story or a diffrent one to please share for a many of books you miss the picture all to much,
ok before i have to close this forum for getting off topic, lets get back, and since some dont get what i was asking my bad,
has any one heard of this story or one 's similair if so please share, and dose this story referance might hold any idea if there is a vampire god
I have not heard of such, Sry I don't have anything about it, and I think it might but how much needs to be seen, it might seem like the truth if there was more then just one place to hear it from..
Sincerely,
Benjamin
Look up the Cthulu Mythos and Egyptian magik...Than come to an understanding after the cross referane...That is my advice.
Either that, or just re-read the legend of Lilith, Adam and Eve...Through the book of Enoch shall you find the path with which this side of the story resides.
OniKumo -
Using the example you gave of a particular creation myth or, say, "Beowulf," were I to ask others' opinions of such a tale, would it not be expected that I provide the needed information for others to at least be able to look it up first so as to offer an intelligent opinion thereon?
Why is such basic and simple logic here considered not only unnecessary... but in fact almost offensive?
cryingmoon has asked for our opinions on a "vampire god" story or theory or... whatever... that she found somewhere on ancientworlds.net. All I did was ask WHERE the story is found so that we could read it and, as per her request, offer our opinions thereon. For such a most basic reasonable request, I have received nothing but grief here. And we still do not have the URL to the "vampire god" story to which this entire discussion depends!
What else can one do: I give up!
i think it holds some truth, if you dont go by the christian belifes and teachings, could be a good way on how this happened and it looked like it could have happened as there is problay history that have could followed this to be .
all relgions have some amount of truth and i am not the one to tell you what is truth and what is not you must make that choice on your own but ask your self this if the frist vampire was a damed soal than woun't we all be damed and if we are than ask your self what kinda of God(s) would dam a vampire who commeted no sin deserving damnation just some more riddels in life that only you know the answer to
UpirLikhyj
the reason maybe you were chasted was, if you did not sound so erogrant , and so self serving
i told you evrrything that i had got the picing was all that the set gave me, i said that in 5 ways its not my fault you were able to compherend such someple things
to every one else thank you for the opions lets keep it going
It is a very interesting story and it could be true. I mean it's possible. It sounds really kool and seems interesting enough.
I'm sorry, crystalmoon... but that last post was almost entirely unintelligible; I couldn't understand any of the points you attempted to make.
Is English a second language for you?
cryingmoon -
One question if I may:
Assuming this is not also misconstrued as "erogant," how do you expect us to offer opinions on a "vampire god" account you found that we cannot find to read ourselves and that you cannot provide us the URL so that we may?
How can we "keep it going" when no one but you has been able to find the account so as to read it and opine thereon?
dude get a life you said you were done , i dont wish to close this forume for people squalbing, please if you can not say something nice then be quite,
this is going to be closed due to mis understanding 's ill be reposting it in a few that i hopewill be better
