Ok this should pan out to be quite interesting. My question is how many of you believe in the undead aside from ghosts and spirits, and if so what evidence do you have to draw upon this conclusion? Have you seen the Undead?

I don't. I believe in Vampires, but not in the sense of being undead. Energy manipulation, blood magick, yes, immortal corpses, not at all.

Maybe so but thats fine, This should be rather entertaining. Im speaking about undead as a whole.

Smelled the grave looming in the air when they came to town. Never had a direct encounter.

I believe in spirits, poltergiests etc..but not zombies or the true undead rising from the graze to eat brains or something. its not truely possible for a half eaten corspe to walk around

It's just not possible, the chemistry is just not there within the body to be undead.

Plus, I'm a very skeptical person, I really need to see proof of such a thing.

Why is any supernatural idea more believable than another? Either way you're talking about something that in all it's years of being talked about, has never been proven.

Ghosts...the dead...hanging around because they prefer the weather here or because they just have to tell you how much it sucks to be dead defies most reasonable methods of trying to measure or prove it's presence. When they're gone, where did they go...where's the energy in that state. Limbo? Alternate universe? So now zombies...if a ghost can be here and affect the living real world...attacking us and or communicating with us...working through mediums or possesion...what difference would it make if it were working through a medium or a corpse. Why couldn't they move a corpse around and make it talk?

Yeah I have to agree....just can't picture dead bodies/corpses getting up and wreaking havoc.

I do believe in the undead..of all sorts. I of course have no proof..but I still believe.

I do beleive in ghosts and such, but zombies seem highly unlikely.

I would have to say I do believe in the undead.
It's not as insane as it sounds.
Think about it. A man dies from his heart suddenly stopping and he some how jolts himself back to life.
Far fetched as it may sound, my Grandfather died 9 times at home before he would let anyone take him to the hospital for a pacemaker.

He simply asked about the undead.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is that not just something that has come back to life after a brief moment of death.
He did not mention Zombies in his first statement.

To answer your question; no. That's dying briefly and then coming back to life.

If zombies were real, we would know. It's too good a potential resource for EVERYONE not to have tried it at some point.

As for others...I believe there is more to Everything than what we know, but I have yet to encounter anyone who says they are a werewolf or vampire that wasn't also a complete freakin' idiot.

well i think zombie are just imaginary being of scientology they never existed.but i believe there other being{i.e creature} apart from the above named. coz even with spirits there are different kinds

if there are different kind of our being {human} and there are different kind of spirit in our own image and none our own image there should be some other's aswell

Well Arunima I never said I believed in zombies I simply asked a question........see knowledge is power and you didnt know that. I simply felt this would be an interesting thread to see unravel. As far as an open mind, Its open only to someone who can validate their claim, other then that im a skeptic. I figured I would clear that up before anyone else decides to judge me according to there own interpretations.

depends on what we say is undead, spirits, ghosts and vamps, yes if i would see them, zombies no if so i am in a hollywood movie and bteer run.

yeah undead is a rather generalized term, it could technically mean someone brought back to life via drugs or the shocking pads, or someone that has been on heart bypass as well...

as for spirits, and other supernatural phenomenon, i believe there is alot of merit in them, that something exists we cannot as of yet explain...just that it isnt like ghost busters.

In some beliefs, the zombie is in fact someone who has been spiritually captured or killed. Their body...technically alive...has no soul and is therefore 'undead'. This isn't the rotting walking corpse but in fact a person no longer 'alive' because the 'soul' has been removed.

I don't believe in either. Undead whether over exaggerated or not doesn't matter still don't believe it and ghosts pft.
