i am sure we all know about the art of psychic healing ...when i was going through my worst bout of cancer a very close friend of mine came to the house to help me with my pain. he never laid a hand upon my body and i felt his energy pulsing through me. as he started moving his hands around to different locations around my back side i became aware of a black snake inside my body. i said nothing to him and as he did his thing he started to tell me he saw a black snake as well and that it was running from him and putting up a fight ...the act took about 1 hour to complete and i had total relief as i felt the snake being ripped from my body.
please tell me of your exp. and what do you think of what i exp.???
I have never experienced anything along those lines. But I never rule anything out as I always try and keep an open mind. Sounds like you had a great experience and if it brought relief to you then all the better.
I personally have never had the experience of the psychic healing.I know that anything is possible. But here are a lot of frauds out there I have seen some shows on so called psychic healers and they were busted for using chicken guts as a substitute, for the tumor removed from the person.
I have never expeirenced this first hand but my aunt believes in it totally and has had it done, to me i am a skeptic, yet the mind is a powerful tool.
I myself have never had firsthand experience and can only go on what i have read from others.
I know people who do believe in this type healing and find it very beneficial and i would never say it could not work as one never knows.
I hope it truly did continue to help you even afterwards.
He was feeling the cause of the pain. it manifest itself in different ways. I have tried psychic healing but it is easier from me to actually touch the person. I think it makes it easier to see the pain as something solid. So that he can remove it easier.
yes i been able to beat the big C 4 times ...thank you for all your responces so far iam looking forward to hearing more Exp's
i seen a show where they used chicken inerds to remove tumors those frauds make real use of this gift hard for others to except... i think what was special about my exp is it was a close friend i trusted and he never laid a hand on me ...he stayed just inches from my skin but i felt every motion it was great i would recamend it to those who have belief and interrest.
Well, I am ery happy to hear that you have beat it 4 times.
I know for myself with the massive headaches I have and the pressure from the tumor the pain is over whelming and i have had many many many Reiki treatments.
And from the minute she used to touch my hand she would get nauseous (sp) After going to many many many sessions they started letting up but they go in cycles it seems
When I was in the military I used to work with patients. We were taught that a great part of the healing process had to do with the patient's psychological state of mind. The healing process of a patient who had a more positive attitude seemed to be able to get back on their feet faster than those who did not.
I think the mind is a great healing tool; reputable psychic healers have the ability to become in tune with the patient. The connection allows the negative energy that is keeping the body out of balance to flow into the healer and giving back, in its place, positive strength and energy with which to continue with the healing. It may or may not work, but to give it any chance, the patient must have a positive attitude and believe in what the healer is doing.
wow that sounds really intense, myself I have not ever experienced anything like that yet a family member of mine had something simular done to her when she seen this person down in New orleans and she swears it was the best experience and thing she ever done, and feels 100 % better ever since.
I also had a friend who was a "psychic healer." She was able to project warmth from her palms. It was really awesome. I believe that with practice, and training, this is a good way of healing. There are schools that teach this also. There is a place near me called "The Psychic Institute." They teach this among other things there.
I had held so much anger with me through years. The healer was healing me. I seen this darkness in my forehead, as my eyes were closed. My head just jerked and the darkness was gone. My anger problem was 100% better. I was too quick to be anger without looking at factors and now it is so ez to say hey I made a mistake then before. I have also find my anger once is released does'nt stay with me like it use too.
Iv'e been fortunate to experience quite alot of healing over the years.
My church offers free healing sessions once a week.
The black snake is interesting, sounds as if you were visualising this and the healer may have picked up that picture from you.
This sounds amazing, and I am glad that you have had a positive experience through it :)
I have had something like this done only once ~ afterwards I felt completely relaxed and maybe it was that feeling that gave me the sense that good had been done. Either way I felt it and was very satisfied with how I felt afterwards.
Sounds like you had some Reiki work done...from what little I know about it. I tend to think that if one has a open mind, anything is possible in regards to healing.
Glad your friend's help worked for you.
i can tell you the whole black snake thing was freaky cause i felt it i saw it but it was not real and the pain that i felt as it came out ever so slow and reluctent was very intence and when it was gone there was no real snake but we felt it and saw it and i wonder sometimes if somehow cancer is not some type of evil over hungry reptile ... sadly i been testing and found another major cancer on me :( not sure what course of treatment will be taken yet this will be number 5 i need all my VR friends to really help send me thier possitive vibes because quite frankly iam getting wiped out here ...LOL dont know weathe to believe it but a psychic told me i was a reincarnation of the most evil man in the world and that is why i suffer with all my illnesses (allister crowley) iam kinda skeptical but hey any thing is possable
I have experienced Reiki and that worked well for me. Not sure about psychic healing - I haven't heard a lot of it.
i have experienced it before... i find it a wonderful feeling... i can do some minor energy tricks myself... but nothing like you explained... i need a lot of practice for that...
i have never heard of this kind of healing before but I can understand it sort of. does anyone have any websites i could find more info on it?
I suppose I can best be classified as an extreme skeptic. Perhaps that would change if ever I saw confirmed medical documentation which supported (rather than refuted), the claimed experiences. So far, I've heard a lot of stories but have never been offered one shred of verified medical documentation to support the claims.
Perhaps today will be the day when that changes?
personally i am healer of sorts but never anything that big ...just back pain and head aches i recently took a fever from my nephew it is very tiring yours sounds very unique as does every ones ..... But i would believe it in a second
On a physical level, I would be skeptic to any claims of healing, yet spiritual enrichment, and healing.. from a friend, that is always an ideal thing to do, the spirit takes a blow from exposer to the process of medical healing practices. Those that claim to elliminate the need for physical doctors are more hack then practice..
my friends room mate helped my spirit recover from Drug excess, without that enrichment.. I would likely have gravitated back to using.. in moments that arose, chances for relapse.
I have never experienced this myself but do know of people that have gone through this type of healing. The snake itslef that you speak of would represent the battle or the illness. The use of psychic healing is something that has always facinated(sp) personally.
Iwill keep you in prayers and candles lit for you with this new diagnosis.
I tend to remain highly skeptical and will continue to do so until I begin to see properly documented medical records to confirm the claims. On another forum I've made it a point to ask people making such claims for substantiating medical documentation and none ever seem to have any. In some cases, the story takes a dramatic turn as they attempt to debunk the findings of medical professionals which disagree with their preferred interpretations.
I believe that people should remain aware that, as humans, we are highly susceptible to suggestion. This is supported through a vast collection of studies. I'll provide but a small sample here.
CASE 1:
A group of 266 people were gathered to assist in research treatments for chronic arm-pain. They were split into two groups of 133 subjects each. All of the subjects were provided with information concerning the treatment they would undergo as well as potential side-effects they might experience. Before the start of the treatments, each subject was asked to provide a subjective assessment of their pain on a scale ranging from 1 (the lowest), to 10 (the highest.
One group was provided with a new medication taken in pill form. The other group was provided with a form of acupuncture treatment.
At the end of the research, those receiving the medication reported an overall decrease in pain averaging 1.5 while those treated through acupuncture reported a reduction of 2.63 (on the 1 to 10 scale). More importantly, 33% of those taking the medication suffered from variations of the potential side-effects and three of the subjects suffered so acutely that when a reduced dosage failed to relieve their suffering, they elected to discontinue participation in the study. Only 25% of those receiving acupuncture reported suffering from the expected side-effects.
The clincher is that the study was misrepresented to the volunteers. It was never a study on treatments for chronic arm-pain. It was a study on placebo-effect. The pill taken by one group was simply cornstarch pressed into pill form. The acupuncture needles were specially designed to retract and never pierced the skin. All of the side-effects and suggested relief in pain were imagined -- not real.
CASE 2:
The la crosse team for the University of Wisconsin was utilized to test the performance enhancing effects of superoxygenated water. All members were shown a video out-lining the potential of the product. Then the team was split into two groups and the A-group was given superoxygenated water while the B-group received normal bottled water. They then ran a timed 5K.
The groups then swapped. Those formerly drinking ordinary bottled water were supplied with superoxygenated water and the rest were given bottled water. A second timed 5K run was performed and the performance compared to the first. It was found that the overall averages improved by 83 to 142 seconds while drinking the superoxygenated water.
It was then that the members of the team were informed that the "superoxygenated" water they had been given was ordinary tap-water. The video they had watched was a fraud.
Everyone wishes to believe that these kinds of subjective mis-assessments are something which can regularly happen to others, but never to them. And yet, in study after study, it's confirmed that this is the norm, not the exception.
People turning to psychic healing should be very careful to have their condition objectively assessed and to not rely upon their own subjective assessments to determine whether or not any of the treatments are at all successful. As far as I'm aware, there is zero credible confirmable evidence to support the claims commonly made for the success of such treatment methods.
It should also be noted that these forms of treatment are almost always declared to be most successful in situations which rely completely on subjective assessment. Non-specific back pain is more likely to be cured or lessened than is diabetes. Cancer is less likely to be cured than are non-descript headaches. And people should always remember that healing cancer is the job of the body's immune system. Each one of us experiences about 2 cancer incidents per year. Our immune systems identify the cancerous cells, kill them and dispose of them. When this fails, the disease can progress to the point of being detected through medical tests. But that doesn't mean that the immune system can't then begin to function properly and eradicate the cancer. Those undergoing medical treatment are not cured by the treatment itself. The idea is simply to reduce the levels of cancerous tissue to that which can be handled by the body's immune system. If the attempt is successful, the cancer will be "cured". If the immune system cannot eliminate the last of the cancerous cells, the cancer will return.
In that light, it should be noted that some likely proclaim they were healed of cancer through psychic healing but in reality, their immune system simply did what it was designed to do, after a period of reduced functionality.
To claim enhance the soul of a person to increase their positive interaction with others, especially during an illness is a good thing to consider.. yet investment into physical healing I would discourage.
When people spend thousands of dollars to go to some faith healer (the kind that claim to do psychic surgery) money that could be used to interact with their family (bonding time prior to death) .. that is a sad thing to watch. to go to a stranger in some "clinic' is just as likely to confuse as it is to tune the "patient". Some people are drawn to the flattery of those that 'practice' such things. It has been found that the majority of Alternative Energy "healers" are failed doctors or scandled massage thearipist, the screening is less involved in the pop-up "practices". Surviovor groups, and other coach organizations for those that are fighting cancer, and the family that is in their corner are also something to consider. If a person shows signs of agitation and confusion, while claiming to have been going to a "healer". They could be dependent on a fraud. This behavior is likely to appear after a bout of refreshed hope. sadly I have seen a person drop out of the last phases of her treatment for a hack "physical revolutionary chi bath series" she relapsed.. two people that went through the process with her.. fought and won a suspended case. one with a more advance case of breast cancer.. the practice.. they just changed their packaging and moved. Had she had a spiritual coach encourage her tried faith.. she could likely have used that.
I would be wary of the charlatans who claim to be healers. However we all can manipulate energy to help heal our own bodies.
I personally had damage to the back of my eye and with the help of healing energies, crystals and meditation I was able to heal the back of my eye. The Specialist was surprised by the results and I put off an operation that he recommended. Over a year later and the eye is still healed and working like it should.
I also find that minor cuts, bruises and sprains heal a lot faster as well if I concentrate energy to the area. Passing energy through the heart chakra.
So healing with energy can be done! The most important thing to remember is that the body reacts to stress or trauma in a physical way. So dealing with the stress or trauma is an important part of the healing process.
I would still recommend seeing a physician a good mix of modern and alternate healing practices is a must.
It's truely amazing what the mind can accomplish. Reiki is the transfering of energy to help people relax and can help with healing as i understand it. I have had a friend do some reiki on my back once and it help a little until she got energy feedback that cause her backt o spasm and get tight. What can I say I was very tense and didn't mean to give the backlash
Here is something from the What harm could such beliefs create.

LadyWinterRogue,
I hope you take no offense, LadyWinterRogue, but as I mentioned earlier, when I see such claims, I respectfully request medical documentation to support the claims. I think that's simply a reasonable level of caution.
Might you be able to provide any medical documentation; first showing the damage to your eye and then showing that it was healed without standard medical intervention?
With free services such as photobucket and Flickr this shouldn't be difficult to present.
I would also find any pamphlets advertising the practice helpful, (I collect such things.) I have a extensive collection of alternative practice fliers, some as far back as the medicine shows. What they make claim to is usually very vague, and allows for manipulation in interpitation after the alleged procedure. Such practices commonly relieve symtoms of discomfort. I would think formal medicine would be sweep out of the world by now if even 5% of such "psychic surgeons"/"faith healers" actually had credibility to their claims. When is the big break through coming?
It is interesting how quiet things get once you ask for any credible degree of evidence.
yes,it is..so try this on for size...You be the judge,Im not saying a word. And look, there are crooks in every direction, from love to whatever. So does that mean that everyone who tells you they love you, simply because some or many have done so and lied, that there is no such thing as love? ;)

Ouch.. I under stand that people have a strong defensive position on faith based claims. I happens that crooks count on such veiled activity. The routine they put on is indeed false, and very common. To claim to physically heal people with PSI based energy.. routenly produces disapointing results, to ignore that is to slap the people in the face that have already been victimized, to say, there are "good people who make this claim (to heal people physically with PSI ability). Actually creating a possibility that they may return to such a person, hoping better results.. only to be scammed again. Separating faith from claims is key to avoid being scammed. When hidden cameras show supposed healers mocking their "marks" I can tell the difference between a person that has anothers well being in mind, and a person that has their income in mind. Spiritual enforcement is done/ and offered by most churches.. that is one of the purposes of a church. Combining spirit and physical, or mental.. draws people with sensational expectations.. usually desperate. There is no such thing as PSI healing of the body.. had there ever been such a thing the current medical practice would have fizzled out years .. decades.. centuries ago.
Interesting point Dab but I think I will disagree..maybe it is more because most dont even know how to do it,even though they claim to..and then,it is very sporadic.I think I would say it can and does in fact happen, albeit so sporadic it cant be documented all the time.I can certainly present documentation concerning the second stage RSD caused by a racehorse falling on me and crushing my arm and then my curing it if you need.
Your curing it.. see the operative word is you healed it.. not some pop-up shop. Please look through the links I posted, it shows the harm done by healers.. ones that where given the chance to demonstrate their claims, yet always back out at the last minute. The backwards approach is a set up.. it is not, a few are actual, it is most are bunk.. I find the "actual ones" make no astonishing claims to heal the physical.. sadly though I hear from spiritual coaches that they are bombarded with thindgs by would be clients.. well the last person said I could be healed, if you cannot do that then I am out of here. They pressure practices to do what others claim, the spirit coaches (who I actually understand) suffer from the extranuous claims of faith healers. Stacks of books exist on this, why are the hospitals still in business?
We all know the crooks are out there, and thats a shame.I choose to concentrate on the positive side of it by keeping up on the research.Because of the things that have happened to me personally,I believe that one day, very soon we will be able to proove it can happen.
I dont care about the church or any of that ,for I dont feel that has anything to do with the mechanism behind it.Or at least, not their idea of it.
Oceanne,
I apologize for the fact that I'm bumping up against time constraints and have only finished reviewing the first link you provided.
My comment so far would be only to point out that brain-wave activity is evidence only of brain-wave activity. We all have it and we can all "enter states" which will demonstrate different patterns and different regions of brain activity. This in no way represents any kind of evidence in support of psychic healing.
There are current (and recent) research projects attempting to do the same thing in the study of the veracity of theological claims. Scans show particular forms of brain activity during particular forms of concentration/prayer. That's going to be a given before the testing even starts. If that weren't the outcome, the obvious conclusion would be that the scanning equipment wasn't working. But it doesn't indicate any greater veracity for theological claims, the existence of Santa Claus or the agenda behind the war in Iraq.
Evidence to support psychic healing would require first, a condition which was actually healed, then properly documented medical records showing the condition and resulting eradication of the condition, and finally, a demonstration that standardized (physical) medical techniques weren't utilized; to eliminate other than psychic interaction as an explanation for the change in the condition.
I can claim that I'm guided by Bugs Bunny and energy flows from Bugs to me. I can connect electrodes to my head and focus on a particular thought and tell you I'm gathering energy from Bugs. But I must point out that the change in signal recorded by the equipment in no way supports any of my claims about Bugs Bunny.
"Evidence" requires a demonstrable link to the claim or outcome.
A dead body isn't "evidence" that I am a murderer. You must link the death to my actions before you have "evidence".
Is that not fair enough?
"Your curing it.. see the operative word is you healed it.. not some pop-up shop. Please look through the links I posted, it shows the harm done by healers"
You're right..I did heal it.And possibly,in the manner we are discussing.
And I agree, there are a ton of them out there and have done alot of harm. But thats not what we are talking about when you think about it,we can go off on that tangent all day long and then some. Its whether we believe it or not..and my answer is yes,I do.Bacause it has happened to me.What else can I say.Someone asked for documentation,I threw some out there, with no opinion attatched.
Okay, one last post. Then I really do have to go for a bit.
If you don't mind my asking, did your Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy follow an injury and if so, were you unable to exercise the site due to the injury?
Secondly, what was it you did that you classify as psychic healing? (Again, if you don't mind answering).
Lastly, was there nothing else that took place around the same time as whatever treatment method you were utilizing? Perhaps even something you never really considered like switching brands of soft-drinks, reducing sugar intake, cutting back on protein or eliminating anything from your diet? RSD has been strongly linked to dietary issues, particularly, highly alkaline blood pH (a symptom of dietary deficiencies or excesses), as well as certain food allergies. The dietary issues don't initiate the condition, that's more often a function of inactivity due to injury (as I'm sure you're already aware). But they can perpetuate the situation by inhibiting proper healing of the damaged tissues involved.
An unintentional change in nutritional intake during the time of whatever therapy you utilized would be far more evidenced as the cause of the condition clearing that would psychic intervention.
Alternatively, the belief in the capacity of psychic healing to help might have elevated your confidence in the affected area, resulting in an increase of moderate exercise of the area, improved circulation and elevated tissue repair.

( Are you kidding? I dont mind at all.It is discussions like this that help get to the bottom of a subject .Its great, thanks for taking the time)
If you don't mind my asking, did your Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy follow an injury and if so, were you unable to exercise the site due to the injury?
(Yes,it was after an injury, and pumped full of pain pills and blocks, I did two and 1/2 years of PT,the taping..the whole 9 yards, with no results)
Secondly, what was it you did that you classify as psychic healing? (Again, if you don't mind answering).
(Well, now therein lies the uncertainty, but it was the meditation, only that leads me to believe it is a possibility.Only then would the temp in the arm get up to normal and the pain would go away, finally the atrophy began to reverse and, well,it just got better..However,the overall results it took a while, this was not instant.)

(Nothing in my diet changed,I dont drink cokes and I eat very healthy.I have no food allergies and my blood panels are all extremely good. And from what I know of the ailment,it is from damage to the nerve, and that damage causes it to fire pain signals on a continuous basis, much like a scratched record, thus resulting in inactivity of the affected limp or part.)
An unintentional change in nutritional intake during the time of whatever therapy you utilized would be far more evidenced as the cause of the condition clearing that would psychic intervention.
(
I know what you say is true in many cases, but it didnt happen in this one.I am very aware of what I put in my body.)
Alternatively, the belief in the capacity of psychic healing to help might have elevated your confidence in the affected area, resulting in an increase of moderate exercise of the area, improved circulation and elevated tissue repair.
( I would agree, but again, the exercise was not an issue in this case..actually,it was the opposite.I was very quiet during these periods of meditation, and frankly, had no real confidence in it working at all,it was simply something to try, because nothing else was working.)
Even then Beast,Im not so sure I would call it Psi healing.Perhaps more like mind over one's own body type thing.
Here is an article you guys might like to read...
http://www.esalenctr.org/display/confpage.cfm?confid=2&pageid=7&pgtype=1
Esolon Center, I have read about them, they have had many hacks spring up using their Spa/Center as training certificate reference. I have heard of Riech as well. I have an article I will post or send you when I can find it.
I think that all healing practitioners have a higher level of sensory awareness than most do. I hesitate to call it psychic healing. It's a sense of where pain is coming from..sometimes both emotional and physical..what is causing it..and what must be done for that particular person to help in it's release.
I think that the term psychic is used by those who do not understand how this takes place or have not experienced it. For those people I feel that it takes on a supernatural form because there is no personal experience from a practitioner's point of view..and so it seems surreal that they know "exactly what to do".
