Thought to post a thread of a place where we may come and recommend vampire reading or resources, my apologies if a thread in simularity had been created before.
Perhaps if so and you know of it disregard this thread and bring back from its reasting place the original thread.
here however till then I shall post a few novels I recommend, they are as follows.
"The Vampyre" by John Polidori, published in 1819 and based on an idea by Lord Byron (Byron one of my favorite writers).
"La Morte Amoreuse," which has been translated into English under various titles, including "Clarimonde." by Theophile Gauthier, published in 1836.
"Carmilla" by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, published 1872.
"They Thirst" by Robert McCammon, published in the early 80's or late 70's, sorry can't recall.
"Hotel Transylvania" by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, published 1978. She has other books that chronicle the experiences of vampire, Saint-Germain as well and her vivid detailed historical background makes her stories unique.
I like the way this guy thinks!
