I have seen many in the Vampyric Community who treat them like dirt. They feel that they are mundane and should be shown no respect.
This is how I see it RESPECT those who allow us to be who and what we are. Love those that give us what we need.
They Keep our secrets and give of them selves and should be loved and respected for the gift they give.
what are your thoughts and Views on this Subject?
I typically have to agree on you with that one, because even though we are a different kind, we are just like normal human people as well. We have feelings, we care about everyone we love. Like they say, "Treat others the way you want to be treated."
yes I agree and they allow us to be who and what we are.
they love us for who we are and give of them selves. so in my eyes they should be loved and respected.
i agree with you for the most part... though sometimes they can use the position against you, trying to use it to get closer, mine made me date her to feed... i think kem is having some similar issues..
the town im currently in you can spit across so the odds of finding people like us isnt to great
thats why those who truly love us and keep us should be loved and protected not put down because of the ones who don't it's like the fools who make Vampyres look bad because of their misdeeds. should all of us pay for the fools mistakes?
we should not put anyone down period i dont care who they are we need to treat every one as an equal we protect them as much as they protect us there is a balance that needs to be kept
swans give them selevs to use so we can feed they dont have to so any one that looks down on a swan is dosnt relise that that swan is doing them a favor and does not have to help or keep there dark secerts
that is why we need to treat them as an eaqual and not look down appon them they are there to help us as we can help them
Ok lets see what can i say on this matter..... alot.
Swan should get the same respect as a mate for a few reasons it is my experince that we take care of, for lack of a better word master, we cook if asked to we cleanl, and in both cases it is a relationship, plus we help give what the mate may not be able to, or add on the what the mate has given, if there was no swans the mate would tap out and in turn both partys would suffer, and be under fed. They are not just there for feed either, they should be your friend, there will or should be some kind of attachment between to, if you cant trust them or love them in anyway do you really think they are going to? and if they dont do you really think they will stick around to make sure you are fed? i dont think so, and if you dont treat them the way they should be with love and care they will walk out then you have to start all over again...
is there anybody out here thats feels other then this I want to know all your thoughts on this and why you feel the way you do
This all seems to be a metaphor for some collective Role playing. I would imagine that people you Play with would need to be respected because if you treat anybody with disrespect, or even if they perceive that they are being disrespected.. they are likely to blow scene up, some even use such things to gain sympathy from the new play group they align with.
interesting that you see this as we are LARP's
there are many here who are HLV'S and not into playing games.
People that define Vampire in a way to fit their Performance, thanks for clearing that up.
we are all there for one another we are all family we look out for the well being of the comunity and every one around it
Oh my bad I was unaware that this was a Coven Exclusive thread.. I am entertained by the depth of your role playing though. It is hard to refrain from sharing such secrets with people outside of ones collective. Perhaps by reading this thread I can learn to avoid accepting people prone to gossip from entering my devote circle of friends.
Dabbler,
I think the author of the thread has made quite clear that he doesn't view himself as a role player. In addition no threads in the general forum are coven exclusive. Please be respectful to other members even if you disagree with them. There is plenty of room here to accomodate all points of view. Thanks.
I have fed, and do so. I have posted this thread to get the views of those of the Vampyric community to post their thoughts, I know it will be met with ridicule but that is ok.
I just want to see the views of those who really do feed. and those of the donors as well.
It does'nt make sense to me that people who actually help you to live as you wish to live are treated badly.
I wonder if it's the same kind of thing that happens in other kinds of relationships ?
The abuse of partners is widespread, sadly.
I think its sad that this thread was introduced with ridicule or not taken as seriously as it should be....because the Rave is for people who want to freely express their lifestyles and beleifs without the same reactions as the mundane world....but maybe i am mistaken?
Other than that...I agree entirely with you M'Lord...and you as well Joe...Respect is essential, but their has to be a point in which you do not let them abuse that respect to manipulate the other party...but all of that should be evaluated before the person is chosen as a donor...so that is completely under that persons discretion.
a lot of hostility here umm this is what i say i would love to openly put myself up as a donor if my blood wasn't as thin as it already is and, i would want to be treated with respect as well, not only am i giving you something that is essential to your being but i am doing it willingly to be apart of the vampire community and if i am treated with anything less than the proper respect that will alter the way i view the vampire community that how i see it
also i believe that these people aren't role playing, the author of this thread is trying to stress something important to him about his community and the way you are treating him is a bit disrespectful and a little off topic

I think Sevenn has squashed the issues :) We can move forward, and people who are familiar with this can feel free to post without being challenged or judged for it.
thank you both, yes people post say what you feel I would like to know your views as members of the community and those that are donors.
My Brother brings a good thread as always, yes call them as you wish, but these are the ones whom go hand in hand along with us, loved, cherished, protected, as well as honored, all these traits and more should be paid to those who give so much of themselves to us
My thanks, i meerly speak the truth and thats how its felt in my humble opinion my Brother
I agree with you. I mean, let's think about it... Without donors we're pretty much screwed. Our swans allow themselves to be at our complete mercy (trusting that we won't over feed, and trusting us when they are most vulnerable), and since they know our secrets, we are at their complete mercy. If we treat them like dirt, yeah they may take it for a while, but eventually they're gonna have had enough, and then, all hell will break loose.
To break it down even further, if you love someone you treat them with respect. If you treat them like dirt, then you don't really love them, and if you don't love them why should they stick around?
everyone should be shown respect no matter who they are or what they believe. different believes make up our world.
Never put someone down because they do something u do not believe in
Give unto others as you would wish to recieve.
In my opinion if a swan is honorable and is willing to
give themselves and everything that is needed to their master without being selfish or doing it for the wrong reasons or abusing the bond they have then yes they should be treated with the same respect.
Hello everyone, I am new to VR, but i have a imput on this forum. I agree with several of the people who say we need to respect our donors, and love them. If we don't do this, they will leave us high and dry. So, here is where "The Golden Rule" or the Black Veil comes in, we need to treat them kindly, and with love so they will do the same for us. I think it is a proven fact, that donors and their vampire partners become connected, i am not sure of the proper term for this, but there you go. And as the Vampire/Donor relationship grows, i think we, the vampires, have the responsibility to treat them with what they deserve.
SkylarWolvesvein
well said and baby girl you are right as well as the rest of you.
are the any of you here on the site who feel that this, we are wrong?
ALWAYS treat everyone with respect and most importantly your donor!! If you treat them like dirt then they will be gone someday!
I personally treat mine with the most respect i can!! I love her dearly and I'm very close to her, we are great friends!! We don't go around announcing that we are what we are this is the first time I've even spoken to anyone besides one other about this!!
But like i said treat them with the utmost respect because if you don't then they wont be around much longer and that means that you don't love them! But for them to allow you the PRIVILEGE to fed then they have to trust you and love you, they are putting them selfs at risk!
RESPECT!!!!!!!
I am glad i could help, i have done research on the black veil, and several different vampire ethics policy type things, and they mostly all state the same thing.
I have to say that what animekikei said is true. You have to respect your donors and always show how much they mean to you and never let them go but also u have to get respect from them.
So, when the donors/swans refuse to give blood, wouldn't you revert to another swan? or what?
I wouldn't.... I don't need blood it's live a cig for me im addicted but i can survive with out it
I would not clasify myself as a vampire because of the myths about them, i don't have fangs, I don't have to avoid sun
I just love the taste of blood!
OK, so, i am guessing, that some if not most of us are Sanguine vampires, so those of you who are, what would you do? Me, I would go to the next swan, and so on and on. I mean, I am not trying to be erm, well, thats just me.
To those who put their trust in me, those who give their most precious gift to me, those who share the mystery with me; I give my respect, my love, my protection. To treat them otherwise would be damnable and foolish.
should be beneficial for both.. any one should be thankful for any gift, pretty simple actually.
I totally agree, they should be loved and respected for what they do for vampires. I mean without them, it would be difficult to always find a new donor.
Yes,
The question has been asked if there is anyone here that disagrees, well, in my opinion, there is not many. I mean, i know a guy who treats his donor like the dirt under his shoe, but when it comes time to feed, the donor is still there and willing to give.
i will all most never feed on some one i dont care for so as to mack sher i care for them as they care for my my mate and me agerd to fead off each uther onese we aer to geather and yes she is a vampier but i think it beter to have a strong or love youer doner becas this keeps you from treating them rong or over feading what do you think ?
I think thats just a name some organizations use, although, i have no clue besides that. :) :)
-vv-
People treat your donors with respect at all times. They give up their most precious gift. I like Blood Dolls.
I believe the donors deserve some respect for they give of themself willing .For without them some can not survive .
RYBAXXX Swans, Donors or Blood dolls to many they are one in the same.
Cool, Thanks for the info. I think the term "Swan" makes it sound a little more ummm elegant maybe -vv- lol
Swan: A non-vampyre lover who knows about the community. If they are a white swan, they are acceptant of vampyric lifestyle. If they are black, they are acceptant of the lifestyle as well, though do not feel a pull to join.
NOT FROM Wikipedia
But from here

There is no grace. There is no guilt. This is the law. Do what thou wilt.
Hmm, interesting LNA, I have never thought about the idea of respecting my donors because respect to them is always a must. I mean they give an important part of them selves to you out of love and trust for that they do deserve our respect.
Thanks CrimsonScarab for the note about swans I was wondering about it because it didn't seem to fit in. But after reading it does make sense.
You are welcome C.C. And the site is a wonderful informative site along with http://www.sanguinus.org/
It appears everyone is in agreement that donors should be respected for their role in the feeding process. There appears to be no discussion going on, so I am RIPing this thread. It will be archived because I think it is a valid point to remind individuals that we do not prey off of the innocent, but rather have willing and respected donors. Thank you all for echoing the same sentiment.
