Many celebrate it all month especially witches
This is the night where all dead are celebrated and the doors closed for another year
But what happens to the ones that are still left here behind?
Can any one help?

I think for the lost souls that are left behind for some reason or another are looking for there loved ones or some kind of peace.

here or already crossed over you say a blessing for them all , to let them know they are not forgotten , they are the ones before you and the ones who you are suppose to have learned something from.the people you loved and respected or admired.its really not that hard .

Samhain (pronouced Sow-inn) also goes by the name Halloween by the Christian community. This is our time of endings and beginnings, so many Pagans celebrate the New Year at Samhain. This is a quieter time, a time when the veil between the physical and spiritual world is at its thinnest and spirits may pass between more readily. At Mabon, the God Lugh died in order for us to live through His abundance. During the intervening time, He has gathered the spirits of those that have died over the year and waits for the night so that they may pass through the gate to the other side. This is the time to revere our ancestors and to say farewell to those that have passed this last year. The abundance of the fields now gives way to the power and strength of the Horned God of the Hunt. This begins a time of darkness, when the land begins its slumber and from now until Yule, the days grow shorter and darker. Winter storms begin to sweep down from the north. The time when the earth rests is begun at Samhain. We celebrate the year passed and the year to come. We light bonfires and perform rituals to honor those that have gone before. A sacrifice of bread and wine is offered to the Gods as thanks for Their guidance throughout the passed year and in advance for the year to come.

most ghost that are still around and "lost" feel as if they need to continue a lifestyle that never stopped or doing their job because it did not get completed when they were alive.
most ghost have some kind of business that needs to be finished before they can "move on..."

Yeh some have to go back into animals till the Vail of dimensions opens again…
Next time add more lanterns to guide them on there way to the summer fields to rebirth .. unless your like me and plan to stay searching for your soul mate past the grave…..

For those left behind there is beer, the Internet, sad songs and dark rooms.

The lost souls you speak off remain behind because they wish it so. For some the fear to go on is to great and prefer to remain for "comfort" sake. And some are dammed to walk the earth for their sins.

With Halloween/Samhain being over I hope everyone had a safe and happy time. There are other discussions of ghosts and spirits underway.
