Sang- dependant on blood

Psi- feed either on blood or psionic energy, having to start off with blood. (read that somewhere.)

SANG-
Feeds mainly on blood. Its often the idea of feeding from a particular person which link the energy to that person and their essence.

PSY-
Feeds mainly on energy, but energy can also be desiribed as blood, unless you mean specific types such as emotional energy, pranic energy and suchlike. this can be a perspectvie on life, anythingc an be energy... it just depends on your willingness to use it. This gives a much bigger scope to the definition of the life force.


Psy feeding is often much safer for the drinker and donor than sang, however psy can also be a lto more invasive in my opinion, especially considering how a lot of psy drinking can be subconciousas a top up rather than an actual decision with consequence.

Many people think that their is a lust for the blood, but not for energy. I disagree with this, as I mentioned previously, I find myself picking up on energy and using it (soemtiems negatively) without being aware of my original intention. this can also be a manipulation rather than a decision to drink blood.

psy- have anything living as a source..just some work better than others

I really can't believe that, with the state of some of the threads out tere, that this one has doen so badly, when it should be something that everyone on this site has an idea, or at least cares about. Its really a shame that more people haven't partcipated.

at risk of annoying people...there is a difference in in ethical values...IMO

...sanguines tend to have to ask permission first and there is a great deal of respect for the other...and it is not really possible to feed this way without the other knowing, although I do know that it has been done by more unscrupulous characters, it is not the accepted norm.

whereas, with psy, there is not the absolute requirement for permission to be obtained, as 'normal' people (I use it in absence of another term), are not aware if they are being drawn from by a psy, so it leaves open a door for obtrusive action by a psy lacking in certain moral standards.

A Psi-Vamp may or may not be psychic in the normal sense, but this terminology means the psychic ability to drain another of energy or life forces. It also means such an individual can drain thoughts, emotions, life force, mental and physical strengths.

Only real vampires can directly absorb the pranic energy in fresh blood, and for this reason some real vampires are attracted to blood and find different means of obtaining it.

Physically, vampires are usually "night people"" on a biochemical level.

Sang: Usually need to feed in privacy or around other vampires
Psy: The secret is their own

I was going to say physical sickness was different, but the aura from the prey can also have physical effects(duh)...

Sang: Night attacking(usually for protection)
Psy: Hunt day and night(usually not bound to one)

I only know two things. And it isn't original at all.
Psi-draws on energy for substance.

Needless to talk about the blood vamps... I can focus more on the psi ones... well as has been said before psi vamps feed off energy, and yes some even drink blood as energy, but it's not a favoured source. Other sources of energy include human energy (they feed off energy from neighbouring human beings) elemental energy (feeding off the energy of natural elements, such as wind, water, earth or fire) and sexual energy (energy which arises from any form of sexual intereaction) Some psi vampirse feed on only one type of energy, others mix and amtch depending on their hunger.
