I have come to realize and now am puzzled about which of the facts or the fictions of what can kill a vampire/vampyre?
(blood vamps more so then psy vamps)
Sure the hollywood styles fuck you up with their garlic, stakes, sunlight, holy water, decaptation ect...
Any ways I was just wonder what is it can truly harm a vampire/vampyre?
(Not that im intrested in hunting them down, I'd rather be one then hunt them.)
as far as i know it has always been the stake, the knife and the fire
the stake to drive through the heart
the knife to cut off the head, stuff the mouth with holy wafers/garlic
as then the fire to burn both the body and the head in two different places
that is the way i know how to truly destroy a vampyre
anytime, now please keep in mind there may be aother way but from my research that is what i keep coming across.
so beware of people who carry knifes and stakes, they might wish to do you an injury
Fire and decapatation are the two most used in legend.
The really good way to truly hurt me is to make me cry really badly by onions... the rest of the stuff can hurt a vampyre as well as a human.
If you are talking about the physical body...anything that can kill, will kill.
But to take care of the astral, then yes, it is rumoured that decapitation and moving the head to another location and then burning both the head and body will dissipate the soul back inot the universal being...maybe not forever, but for a very long time.
i would say its kinda like zommbe u kill the heart or head ther gone im not sure about the daylight thing neaver have been but i dont think it would be arr day light pufff ur ded lol more like peeps who r alergic skinbleed ect just make u v weak and well the cross thing balls lol
you stab any being in the chest or set them on fire...even cut the head off...they die.
I always thought, stake through the heart, decapitation, then burn the body to ashes.
A lot of people think that silver works too, but I think that's just for werewolves.
The ways to kill a vampire depend upon which type they are. Fire and stakes won't help if they're incorporeal. It takes magic to completely destroy a succubus, for example.
silver just wearwolfs but even then im not sure is wearwolf just another strand of the same virus that turns u into a vamp ?
^LMAO *scratches head...slaps hand over mouth...*
oh yeah.....
Chop a head off, you're pretty much guaranteed whatever's after you won't be after you anymore!
although, I heard a rumour that a loup garou gets reborn after you kill it...
And there is an Egyption dragon god called Apepi the immotal, that no matter what is doen to it, it will rise again each night...er..
not really relevant, but hey...random is my thing...
What can kill a vampyre?
Garlic doesn't do anything.
Crosses are stupidity,
Holy water too.
Even though Vampyres have regeneration at much accelerated rate,
They don't grow new iternal organs, but they don't need some of them to survive.
Even though their bones merge together more faster, they dont grow back in a matter of seconds.
So, you could always break their necks but do remember to move their heads down, like in position of looking at ground.
But, realy effective way is still and always will be, a stake through chest.
Light does oppose vampyres, but will not kill them, just leave them really, really weak. They dont just burst in flames upon touching sunlight.

Thats probably cause it has a focus to come back to, destroying the focus will most likely not let it return after you slay it.
Correction: if you destroy the focus it won't be resurrected.
But then you'd first need to find the focus.......
garlic, crosses and silver don't mean shit...
Fire is effective but you, practise hard you can develop an immunity towards it...
Stuff which kill humans will more or less kill a creature but certain beings heal faster.
Well zilverscale i would gather it that its focus is the will to live, with almost anything that strives to stay living is its part of imortality makes him wht he is.
Thanks everyone, this has been great with the info, i feel better about what is true and what isn't. >:D
good point...but I hope never to have to face such a task! lol
well, it has been pretty much covered but i would have said that pretty much what kils any creature is gonna kill a vampyre. sunlight and stuff is just myth
Some would say if you just wipe away all the deeply religious ways to kill a vampire you'll find the basic truths, It is possible that a being could be extremely allergic to garlic. heh
but then your other basics, fire, stake in the heart, all that good stuff sort of makes sense.
