Hello there,

My name's Jo and I work for Bliss, the teenage girls'
magazine based in the UK. We're currently trying to
locate people between the ages of 16 and 19 (and
preferably female) who are vampires, donors or who
have had an encounter with vampirism.

Heh yeah, people outside the UK should try and take a look at the magazine or their site before responding to it. It's a piece of crap.

After the article, just wait for the influx of eleventeen year olds desperate to offload their angst on 'fellow sufferers'

sounds like a halloween exploitation piece. They'll say that they protect your privacy and do an honest portrayal, but that doesn't sell magazines does it.
A few years ago we had that problem out here in the Norfolk/ Va Beach area. Google Jon C. Bush. We had a loony who got busted for assaulting underage girls, turns out he was a gamer playing VTM, the press made it out that anyone who wore black, was a goth, or vampire was some dangerous child molester or murderer.
It took a while till some of the gamers and Goths came out of the woodwork to defend themselves. The cops were sending in "undercover" cops to places the local Gamers and Goths hung out. You could pick them out from a mile away. It took threats of slander and libel lawsuits to get the local media to print retractions.
It took 10 years till things were safe enough to come out and play. The local goth scene is still very anti-vampire, due to the media coverage and bias.

Do it if you want, but don't say I didn't warn you. Thankfully I'm too old for their piece.

I would like to just spread the word of what real Vampyrism is. Yet, seeing a few of the comments on the magazine, I will more then likely not help out.

i had the same email, me i am not going to respond, but than again i am also not in the age bracket they are looking for. as far as it being and actual interview study, couldnt tell you.

I'd be happy to participate. I fit the description and all. Too bad there's no way I'm going to fly that far to do it.

Hmmm..... I would only consider divulging information on vampires (and how I consider myself one) if this was for some sort of occult magazine, or atleast not for some vapid magazine who would only use me as a precautionary thing "Is your boyfriend a weird bunch of bollocks? This test will prove if he is" or the ever popular- "Vampirism in 8 easy steps".

Actually, since we're still playing British terms, the headline would be more like "Real Vampires: The Anti-Chavs"


Like I said, I would only give out my knowledge to a publication that would understand and respect my beliefs, otherwise it might cause any of the following: mass hysteria, land me in court on allegations of "brainwashing youth", or they would just make my story a parody.

All the people who do that are in it for publicity.
