First of all do any of you truly believe for sure that there is an afterlife? What makes you believe there is one? If you do strongly believe in one, then what would you like to do once you're in the afterlife? What accomplishments do you think you can achieve in the next life, that you may have failed to in this life.

For those of you who do not at all believe in the afterlife, or are skeptical..why is that so? Why are you so skeptical or against the idea that there could be one?

Also for those who don't know what you believe one way or another, just share your thoughts then in general on the topic please.

“I sent my soul through the invisible,

some letter of that afterlife to spell;

and by and by my soul returned to me,

and answered, "I myself am Heav'n and Hell"”
~ Omar Khayyam

“The yearning for an afterlife is the opposite of selfish: it is love and praise for the world that we are privileged, in this complex interval of light, to witness and experience.” ~ anonymous

“We have no reliable guarantee that the afterlife will be any less exasperating than this one, have we?” ~ Noel Coward

The "Afterlife" is the Disneyworld that the dying pray exists. If people had to truly cope with death, who's to say society wouldn't just go bonkers?! One life to live -- do what you want, right? BUT! If there is an "Afterlife" where, for whatever reason, those who believe are under the impression it's an endless buffet where it okay to enjoy eternity in leisure and cherubs with harps...

This, to me, is a fantastic human pacifier and nothing more. If there is something after life on this plane -- well, I'm not inclined to think it's all clouds and angel wings nor fiery pits and barbed-wire handcuffs.

Now, for plans, should I make some for the "otherside" -- I would make sure I had good credit, housing and beach-front property...

I believe in what science tells me. It says that the human body is mainly made up of energy and energy cannot be destroyed. It can only change into something else. I believe that when we die, we turn into another form of energy and level up in a matter of speaking.

I believe in an afterlife, and heaven and hell. An eternity in the one that you belong in. I am a Christian and am happy to have the time on earth that I do, but I will be even happier after I die to go to heaven.

I have always thought of that and I must say that Im not sure if there is an afterlife. Maybe we just travel through the astral realm.

Wow that's quite a question, a plan for the afterlife.

I certainly believe there is an afterlife, I look forward to meeting long missed friends and family, to continue to live and grow, to learn from experience ( good and bad ).

Speculation is always a human trait on the here after. yet we would in fact return to the earth in which we have come. I hope or would like to see something more than darkness. yet the unknown is the unknown and we may just be suprized that nothing lies after our life here.

An amazing question and I love the quotes. Once again I'm with Omar Khayam and Noel Coward.

If there is a life after this one there must also be some rule preventing contact with those we left behind. Otherwise, there would be more of that happening and easily provable. I have an interest in circumventing authority, so I might want to set that as my agenda.

or

Maybe the life after this is so all-encompassing that all my petty goals fall away while I contemplate the majesty of something or another.

or

I'm fairly goal oriented, like crossing things off my list, but I also accept that I occasionally misplace the list and just do what I want and wait for a surprise.

My point being that the here and now is all I'm really sure of, and secondly that I can accomplish some of my goals, and thirdly that I can lick my wounds over the goals I tried for and didn't achieve and either try again or set new goals, but the point is that I'm flexible and my mind is alive and what matters is now, which goes back to your third quote which is so true and I thank you for posting it.

I do believe in the after life. I just hope I get it right in this life and don't have to come back and redo some things all over again.

My Afterlife plan?

I'm planning to spend mine haunting the hell out of everybody I ever knew in life, who had the misfortune to not die before me. Yep.
Get you're exorcists on speed dial now....

Wow...now this is most certainly an odd question, indeed. Is there an afterlife, and if so, what do I plan to do in the afterlife? Well...I've always believed that there is an afterlife of some sort or another. Our spirits are energy, and science has proven over and over that energy is passed on to other things, it's indestructible, I guess you could say, so I would venture to guess that in one way, we would all experience a form of afterlife.

However, I am also a believer in reincarnation. I believe that what you do in one life affects what you will become, and how your life will be in your next life. That is, if you are a good person, and do good deeds, or try your hardest to put others happiness before your own, or to be as happy as you possibly can be, then your next life will be happy as well...you may get the chance to become whatever you wanted to become. If reincarnation is true, then I want to be a fish, or some carefree animal that only lives out it's purpose, then passes on, without regret.

I don't think I would want to be human anymore...too long of a life-not saying I'm going to kill myself or anything-and too many ways to speculate on how I am going to die. Too many expectations. I'm sure, before there were humans, there was no worry of death, and that's why I want to be some other form of animal. But I digress...Yes, I believe that there is some form of afterlife from this life that I hold, as for my plans, well...I have much to live for right now, and a long way to go. I have no idea what my plans will be when I enter such an afterlife.

Nartina: Animals do fear death. That's the whole flight or fight thing. They just don't get all abstract about it. But on some level, the herd animals who make sure they're at the center of the herd must know that's the safest place to be.

What I like about animals is that while some of them show signs of mourning (elephants; wolves), they move on and choose life.

Wow...excellent question. The after life talked so far, are conflicting with reincarnation. For me, after my so called life end, I will be going back to the dust, nothing else. What are the proof, that science or theology got about the after life? If you give me the answer, may be I choose that destination.

Each hold a dream of what may become after time on earth is one. recarnation, being a spirit, or just death.

Specualtion is always what we have, no evedience can be reached becacuse no one has been to th otherside and came back to have proof.

Religion or thought is the specualtion of life after life. I hope there is more than a few years of life on this planet and all goes dark.

The Egyptians had afterlife plan, and there was a book called The Book of the Dead. The Egyptians beleived there were different stages that the spirit goes through in the afterlife.

True many stages are said to occur when death does call, yet the final entrance is death. we know nothing else for the lack of any realistic proof of life after death. people like me hope that I just did not live my life to end and nothing more to be had. Religions take this and use it. Faith says another plane in life is there.

My opinion is , the afterlife is not like the humans like to see it..as a place of harps and Angels..or fire and demons. The afterlife is not different then the life that you are living now.

I believe there is an afterlife. How sad it would be if there wasn't. Hell is what we are in now and Heaven is something better.

Most ancient cultures accept of there being some type of afterlife. I'm not sure what determined this to be true but i would have to go with what DJJarrack posted. It's just what i feel to be most accurate.

I think if we had all the answers handed to us on a silver platter it would circumvent being motivated to have a full life now in the physical body. All we have is anecdotal evidence and religious writings where people believe in some form of afterlife place. Hmmm, I think we do go on for personal reasons but a plan, that is a hard one since I cannot relate and don't know how everything works where I would be going. I believe in an afterlife but all the details, I would have to say I don't know and really I am more concerned with providing for those I leave behind so there is no burden. That would be the initial plan for me to head into the afterlife. I would want to do something adventurous.

It is said all will become clear at the final stage of death, knowing all that lies ahead. yet we can speculate many answers on this from different points of view.

Life or life after death, if thought that a better place does exist, would many people in this day in history, hamper through mundane life or take the easy way out to a better existance.

I do believe that alot of theories for afterlife are just to comfort those who are afriad of death. I do think that your energy goes forever because energy can not be destroyed but i would like to believe that you can roam around and see those that you loved that left before you, but again this is just somthing that comforts me and others and i have not decided if i truly belive in it or not.

I am strictly in the scientific and love the book The God Dillision...I recommend the read.
However... and this is a big one.
In the last six months I have seen and experienced more freaky stuff than most have in a lifetime...or ten lifetimes. It was like I was being warned...
I asked the Star for help and I never, never do that sort of Mumbo jumbo thing...my friends on Vr know I do not.
It all stopped and within 48 hours I got a cheque for alot of money totally out of the blue...ask sideshowfreakshow if you do not beilive me.
Is there an afterlife?
Don,t know but there is something out there.
Regards.
FallingStar.

Ms Sanguinarius asks the following questions:
First of all, do any of you truly believe for sure that there is an afterlife?

*** Not really, no.

Also for those who don't know what you believe one way or another, just share your thoughts then in general on the topic please.

*** To be honest, I don't have a firm belief one way or the other. I just don't buy that the Christian God, this supposed loving Creator, would condemn anyone to a place like that which the Christians define as Hell. If He does, then He isn't the loving Creator. Which is why my beliefs are aligned with Theistic Satanism. Since I don't believe in a Heaven/Hell scenario, that leaves either nothing (so boring) or reincarnation. Without having done much research, I admit that reincarnation sounds more likely - just based upon what I've learned through my years in the online vampire community, which also houses some who define themselves as "OtherKin".

P.S. MsSanguinarius....I love that you seem to always have a great video to accompany your forum topics!
