I have been looking around and getting a feel for things, but I would like to know the following:
What do you think about the society that you belong to and how active are you in it?
What do you do in your society?
Do you feel excepted and welcomed?
Do you feel like your just another number that has been forgotten about, and if so, why?
I think my Coven's amazing. 8D But I'm biased, ain't I? Bein' the master and all.
Well I think my coven is amazing too. I have a very active forum and know people aren't afraid to talk to me :D
But I am biased too as I am the CM.
from the society masters, what seperates or makes your society different from others and from society members what do you like or dislike about the society your in.
That is a very good question. While I am not quite familiar with the rest of the Covens and or Houses, I can uniquelly say that without advertising my own Coven, that we do not nessessarily call ourselves a coven, it is more like a kingdom of old. You would have to take a look at it to know what I am talking about.
Though a few of our ways are rather strict to say the least, no cussing, no indecensy of any kind such as sexual posts... We have a sort of would you say, established way with one another since we have known each other online since our Coven was first established a few months back.
Either you like us or you don't. Number one rule, if you do not like us, let us know as we are always willing to part ways with you.
But, you must be active within our forum and show our crest on your page. Take pride in the Coven since it is where you may be for the next few months to years.
I love my house and I am fairly active in it. I find it to be a nice group of online friends. The key I believe is to find a group of people with similar interests. I read the profile of everyone in the house before I applied to join. I wanted to join a group that I wanted to chat with on a regular basis, and I have found it.
I love my place. I come and go as I please. I post as I please. I feel I am welcomed. You must be a participant or else you can be overlooked. Besides, how can you enjoy something if you don't make an effort?
I think that the society that I am in is a great fit for me. I am active in my coven and mentorship.
In my coven I am just a member but in my mentorship I am a forum administrator and member.
I feel very accepted and welcomed in both my mentorship and coven. They are family now and I am loyal to both coven and mentorship.
I feel that I am NOT another number that has been forgotten about because we are a family. We help each other.
Well I know I am Bias as the other Master's when it comes to our societies. Immortal Sin is based off of an Adult themed discussion. I dont hold too many rules to follow and most of our member's are family or close friends. We are one of a few that are age restricted, or openly admit to being so.
My mentor on the other hand is based off of my love for reptiles and the business side of the reptile trade. Also helping those with VR questions and profile help or just how to navigate as best you can with in VR.
My Coven is based on being a family and being there for each other
I love my House, and i like my alliance-mates too. We've got a great bunch of people who really take time to participate and it's like a little family
Well to start with my Mentorship group, we just have fun, hang out and learn new things, I haven't had any complaints, noone's left...
As for the Coven I belong to, I guess I could be call biassed also, being an ACM, but that is only a recent development. I love our Coven, we're a family, we look out for eachother, have fun, share our lives and anything else we want to. And we have the best CM on VR!

I am a Coven Master so my opinion is biased, my best suggestion is that you talk directly in private with members.
In my coven, we are enjoying chats and fun threads, we love to laugh and leanr things, we mainly focus on orient, japan, china but we are open to the rest of the world, we enjoy discussion as well as games.
I am an assistant coven master in the Coven of Lux Aeterna. Our forums are active and we are a friendly group. We are all there for one another. We are an extended family.
I am AHM of La Bella Oscuridad, and very proud of it. We are a diverse group of people, some post a lot, some post very little, but we all make up the House and have input into it.
I feel very much at home here. It's a great fit for me. Houses are forever, and I feel a great sense of permanence.
The Coven I am in is the 2nd I have been a member of since I joined VR. I quite enjoy my current Coven, and have been very active compared to most, I think. It helps having a Coven Master who is on a lot and treats everyone in a fair manner and who is there when you need help.
I worked my way up the ladder and was recently made the 3rd Assistant Coven Master. I also take care of the Hall of Graphics, Hall of Favour and do other things to help out when I can.
And, I do feel accepted and welcome. It think it depends on how many members your Coven has whether you become "another number and amongst the forgotten". The more Members there are, the more chance it could happen; however, to prevent it, you need to put yourself out there and participate.
As for Mentorships, being a Head Mentor, I am on pretty much every day and do my best to give each Pupil all of the help they need and ask for.
I'm very lucky to have found a wonderful Coven & Mentor group!
It is very active and covers all topics I enjoy as well has fun spots.
I am very active inside my home Coven, because of them being so welcoming.
We also have an Excellent Allaince team.
I am in two covens as I have two profiles. The first one is with my darkangel82 profile and that is The Coven of Lost Souls. I love this one, as everyone is so friendly, we all look out for one another, help when the times call for it, and are one big happy family. I have talked to most of the members outside of the coven already and will be meeting quite a few of them by the end of the year in person. Everyone is active on a daily basis, it just varies when each day due to different ones working and what not, but there's always something going on in there.
The other one that this profile is in is the Electic Witchery. I've only been in this one for a short period of time. It's where this profile was when it was passed down to me. It is very much related to the Wiccan ways, and teaches you a lot, but they also have a lot of fun and games as well. I haven't really talked to anyone in there though as it's been a lil slow since I took over the profile, so we'll see what happens here soon.
I belong to the coven of Fallen Gladiator iam active in the coven although ido not hold a position my experince in this coven has been very wonderful it feel like family and i my coven master is the best
My Coven is amazing..everyone is very close and is always willing to help one another.
I always feel i am involved and very much excepted by all.
Rogue makes sure that we are all happy and get our chance to be involved in everything we can.
Ah.. well, things are quite okay around here.. I do participate in both the Coven and Mentorship that I am in.. and people have been quite okay, actually.. About the welcome part.. well, to a certain extent, yes, I feel welcome.. but they have been pretty awesome, actually.. *smilez*
But then again, how can we enjoy something without putting ourselves "out there", right?
what is the indifference of a Coven vs House here?
Is it just a nicer name than Coven for those that don't like the word Coven? Is it practiced differently?
Just curious.
Was here years ago, had to go overseas so I deleted incase I may not have come back, plus time frame of being gone.
Alot sure has changed here.
dominar edit:
Covens are ran by Sires and Houses by Master Vampires.
My Coven is very nice coven to me. My all covenants do like me and I love them all are good soul. this is not the advertisement. It gives me freedom of so what ye will and immediately gives me reply to my ommunication...
My buddies are the beloved. my groups are very nice.
We covenants are nice to each other and love to venerate each others soul.
we are united.
my mentorship too i very nice...
my groups are very nice...
I don't know about myself. But they all are very nice...
The house I'm in treats me very well and I would like to remain with them as long as possible.
I really like the coven that I am in. At first I did feel somewhat invisible to everyone, but that was partially my fault for a failure to participate in the forums and ratings. Now that I am more into it, I have gotten to know several memebers. I must say that I really enjoy the calm, laid-back atmosphere of my coven and the coven master..
I have been a member of a couple of Covens. Two disbanded, one I was kicked out of for lack of activity and I have recently been traded from one to another.
Usually, I only come online to write in my journal and read other members' journals. Hence my lack of activity eviction. All in all though, I was welcomed, and felt i could communicate and play around in the forums with ease. It really is just a matter of finding a place you feel comfortable, and people you want to sign in to talk to.
A Coven is just another online home, and an extra outlet for your creativity, adventure, education etc.
I was apart of a mentorship once that made me a bit uncomfortable to be apart of because it was just a bunch of flirting between the other members and the mentor. to bad this isn't something you can find out until you join.
At first i was in a bad coven and hated it big time.. Nw i am in the best coven ever.. I am very active and the coven leader is friendly and very helpful. I am forum master of the poetry page and love it.. I can write and draw and post it in the coven to share with others. Everyone in the coven are really friendly..
No one can really say that there House or Coven is the best for they havent been in every single one . With the Coven i am now I really do enjoy being a part of the family. i give respect to the coven and all the members as much as i give everyone respect in VR unless they start with me .
i love being in my coven. When i first joined they made me feel very welcome. I'm comfortable there and all the members are awesome!
a coven or a house will only be good, great or horrible depending on you, and one what you decid to make out of it.
No one can make it good for you, and no matter if you are with the most horrible members or greatest members, in the end it you who will make it a place for you, a home.
No one can make it for you.
Yes as the others master have stated those of us that are Masters/Mistresses, we do ted to be bias to our own covens. I was reviewing the societies that I have been in over the last almost 3 years. The first society is always learning the ropes so to speak. We all have to do it soe have wonderful experiances and stay within that society and some move on to explore new societies.
I have been an acm in 5 covens and am now a CM of my own. Each one is pretty much run the same, some are more strict while others are very relaxed. Inmy coven I tend to keep it to those 18 and over, not because I don't like the younger crowd but feel there are other covens that are best suited for the younger crowd.
Woth the exception of a few most of us have been together from our previous coven (Festival of Decay) and we are all very close. And as Souls stated we are more of a Kingdom, as that is how our coven was set up as, and you would have to look atour society pages to better understand that.
I am not quite in a coven yet, but plan to join my mentor's coven.
He and other members have made me feel welcome and a part of a family.
I think that it is very important that you feel welcome, accepted, and not just another number.
my mentor keeps tabs on us to make sure we are ok and that we don't need anything and that makes me feel secure and protected.
looking forward to hitting level 20.
I am an assistant coven master for the Coven of Mystical Darkness. I have been with the coven for almost three years. October 15. The camaraderie between the members is excellent to the point of calling ourselves friends. From Cyber shower to free counseling, everything is possible. The forum participation is ok., because we recognized that people got another life beside the coven to live. For me, they are my family and I will do anything for them.
I am a news master and coven message master in the coven of Dendroaspis Angusticeps and we like other covens or houses on vr do not think we are a coven but a family we each know that we can be open with each other or if we need some one to talk to preatty much we are there for one another I think it is great to understand what i mean you will have to go check in to it
*Chuckles* Cyber showering, eh? This sounds very wrong...
LMAO!! I mean, we had a Baby shower for our Coven Master. We pick an address and we all sent gift and by doing that, our coven became more strong. also, thanks for the idea!! :)
The Coven that I am in La Rose Noir, has always had my back. Through ups and downs they have always been my safe haven. That's what a coven should truly be. Non-judgemental and honest. They should make you feel accepted and welcome, so it should be obvious. The Coven that I am in is teaching me to become ready in order for me to make one of my own when I become sire. Which is my plan to do. I hope to run it as a safe haven and a place to seek help and knowledge.
On that note, there are some Covens out there whose Master/Mistress believes in controling their members. So you really have to be careful who to trust.
But the only way you are going to get out of those types of Covens is usually when you level Sire, unless you are great at talking and trading (LOL).
If you have any other questions feel free to message me :)
As an ACM in DeMorte I attempt to maintain the coven itself, though there are times when I have to make decisions that I might not want to. It's asked by the CM RazrTheHollowAngel that everyone stay active- communicate as a family.
Im in two covens as i am one person with 2 profiles. First of all i am Co coven master of Nocturnal Felinity. I have only just come back over to the coven from the Pirates. i love the hellcats as Ade is a very good friend of mine and we have been working together for as long as i can remember. i try to be active with juggling real life and VR.
I am Also Trepidation. Master of the Coven of Pirates, here is where i spend most of my time, it is a great coven and should be bustling with activity soon.
I love the coven that I am in, I am a details master among other things and the coven and its mistress treats me with the respect that I deserve
I love the coven and the alliance I am in. The coven is like family, as is our alliance, somewhere I know I can go to when I am having a bad day or just want to get in a few laughs. An active coven and alliance, I think is very important because it makes you want to participate in not only your forum but the forums of your alliance as well.
I am an ACM so maybe I am biased in a way but I have been in a few covens that have made me feel like an outsider and not somewhere I would like to stay or enjoy.
I like the Mentorship and Coven I'm in. Both are family.
I enjoy very much the coven I am in. I selected it after careful analysis of the members of this coven and several other covens. I had made real friends in other covens that I did not choose as my home and I wrote quite extensively about that factor in my decision in my Journal.
What I like about my coven is, if you are free to get on VR the coven expects you to participate in coven matters even though the participation is quite minor. However, if something comes up in the world outside VR such as an illness, workload or a change that requires more personal attention on my part, they are all very understanding. My impression is that everyone tries very hard to make everyone else feel welcome. What more could you ask?

What do you think about the society that you belong to and how active are you in it?
~It is great and I am active most of the time...although I do troll!~
What do you do in your society?
~Post and I am a Forum master!~
Do you feel excepted and welcomed?
~Pretty much feel welcomed and excepted because we are allowed to do as we please as long as we don't violate Vr rules. We have no posting rule, so it's up to the individual if they wish to be active in the House~
Do you feel like your just another number that has been forgotten about, and if so, why?
~If one chooses not to interact then that is the price to pay. It's the same in any society in and outside of The Rave~
Older post and the poster is no longer with us... closing.
