I like Bram Stokers dracula best (although interview with a vampire was quite good ). I like Bram Stokers Dracula because I am from England and there is a scene where they travel across the Atlantic ocean in a ship (points for knowing the name of the ship) and I have thought for a while that that would be quite a good way to disfigure yourself in to a werewolf or vampire if you had to put up with the waves changing your natural body health, going all green and the like, but feeling very free on the ocean as if you could fly, well thats a shot in the dark. I like the idea of Vlad because he impaled his victims and was in a bloody war, so there must of been loads of disfigured people from the war who were later persecuted as being monsters (because they were disfigured) I also like the fact that Count Dracula is old has been living in his big ass castle for ages, so is a true vampire who has wits and will kill for money. How I imagine a vampire to be.
I don't think the movies are all that bad, they have good costumes and there is a lot of research that goes in to these films, the cinematography with renfield was good. I must think that a lot of the people who work on these movies aren't all from Hollywood and must know their Sh*t. It is open for debate that one, and always will be but that is my opinion, if you enjoy a movie then it must be pretty good, and i doubt i could do better without making the story sound corny. Most are based on books which is a shame, as there obviously weren't many scriptwriters available.
