I was interested in knowing whether anyone here actively plays. If so, what sorts of decks do you favor and why? I haven't played in awhile, but seemed to do well with Giovanni heavy decks. Also, does anyone remember, or have cards of the original alpha/beta sets when the came was called "Jyhad" rather than "Masquerade"?
I've never heard of it. I'll have to go buy some now...
I would like to learn how to play, I have the Lasombra deck.

wow that would be so good! I have to get some! there are loads of people round here who like the game but never play it so this would be an easier way to play the game
There has been so many in the past. This one seems alot more cool. You guys remember Magic?
I love the game and played it when it was Jyhad. I always played Gangrel. Always won too, Sevenn, so, if you ever want to play.............
And yes, I have thousands of the Aplha Jyhad cards.
You know, there is an online version of Magic The Gathering. Wouldn't it be cool if we could have an online version of V:TM? What a cool way to replace 5x5x5 with something worthy of Vampyrs!
I DID see on sourceforge that there IS an engine that is adaptable to any CCG making it playable online. I will look into it and see if I can adapt V:TM at least for a head to head type game. Perhaps Cancer might consider it if I can get permission from White Wolf.
psychopup I was just laughing @ Magic. I was so young when we played that. I'm sure this game is Boss.
Never heard of it bu tI will admit to my liking to play Magic the Gathering at sometimes.
Your response made me laugh Vlad! I too have cards from Jyhad, so it would certainly be an interesting match-up. When the game was originally introduced, I had but one friend to play it with, and when he moved my cards were put away. I have been looking at them recently because much of the original artwork is stunning. I am glad to see there is some interest! I think it would be very exciting to see an adaptable version here but I am unaware of the mechanics/feasability of such an untertaking. *Never lost huh? hmmm...
im more of a magic fan, never had the money to pay for another game
I still have a couple of Jyhad starter decks. I think I bought them in 93. LOL Never could find enough people to play, though.
Sorry I don't play. I think my husband did for a few months but recently he gave away the cards.
I never got around to playing it. But an online vampire card game like the one magic has would be cool.
No fair...I've never seen V:TM cards. And I coolect L5R. So I can usually find hard to get card games....
you should be able to find them in specialized games shops
even in germany? if not it might be on Ebay or something similar
Dragonjss,
The cards are available at good hobby shops and from White Wolf's online store. It is an amazing game that easily equals the strategic nuances of chess and the psychological gambits of poker.
As Sevenn stated, the artwork is stunning
Wow..trading cards. I like Vtm..I use to rp it..but all the good rpers fell off the earth.
i have never heard of it but it would be intersting to get some does anyone know where to get them
I've heard of this game; never played it, but if I get the chance to I would.
Jyhad - and I have TONS of them still...stopped collecting a few years ago, but do have Masquerade cards, but so many from Jyhad
Hate still keeping them with no one to play with.
I have two decks, the Ravnos and Giovanni but I haven't been able to figure it out. I am not a huge card player but I love playing the roleplaying games.
i would love to learn to play i have a few packs of the jyhad version but nothing more i have yet to see any of the cards but shall look for them
i don't play but i am interested if there is anyone who wishes to help me out
I tried it but just couldn't get into it. I guess to each thier own
I had some of the original two decks but never got to play
he big trouble is that most players are scattered around.
I haven't heard of it before now. I'd like to know more.
I haven't played it yet, but would love to know more about it.
The cards are rather hard to find now, I use to have the entire set of Daughters of Cocophany. I've also played my beloved Ravnos and Toreador.
I've MANY Jyhad cards. :)
I have never heard of this game, is there somewhere online where you can buy them and learn about the game?
