If you had the chance to live forever, would you choose to and what would you do with your life? How would it change, if you were inmortal? Also if you were an immortal and a vampyre, would you give your lover (if you had one), no choice and bite them so you'd have someone to be with in the hereafter? Any chance you think you'd regret your choice to be immortal? Any chance you'd choose to not be immortal and if so, why would you choose not to be?
Myself if I was vampire, I would ask my partner if they would want to spend Forever with me, I would not just assume that they will. not right in my opinion.
Yet, if I had a choice myself to be immortal or not, I would choose not to be immortal, hell watching everything come and go and I stay doesn't sound very appealing to me. I know I could not keep my whole family with me cause well they would rather jsut move on I am sure. so would I.
well i have been thinking and maybe i would choose to be immortal if i had a way of dieing eventually if life grew to be too boring. to be young and beautfiull forever and live life without worrying about consequences would be rather exciteing at least for a few centuries.
I'd choose immortality and stay alone. Collect art and literature and this the future will inevitably for get.
If you had the chance to live forever, would you choose to and what would you do with your life?
I would walk down the same path that St. Germain has. Learn everything there is to learn, explorer every place there is to explorer, experience everything there is to experience.
How would it change, if you were immortal?
An endless supply of knowledg at my fingertips, in a nutshell.
Also if you were an immortal and a vampyre, would you give your lover (if you had one), no choice and bite them so you'd have someone to be with in the hereafter?
No, in the end.. The choice is always theirs. I am immortal, they are not, therefore they won't know what the experience will be like or how to deal with it in the end, if that time ever comes. After all, where one dies, another is met. There is always the chance of a better relationship when one is immortal and lives through the centuries.
Any chance you think you'd regret your choice to be immortal?
Not bloody likely. No one knows the destination beyond the curtain of death, therefore I would rather the rest of eternity as an immortal and experience everything before I join the hereafter. Thus is the way of eternal knowledge.
Any chance you'd choose to not be immortal and if so, why would you choose not to be?
This would be to experience death in its entirety, just as with being immortal, that experience may never come to pass. Experience everything. Knowledge is the true teacher of wisdom.
I would accept and not give my lover the option (rare would I change that). It would take a very special person to make me change my mind. Most people hurt the world in some way, and to make that immortal is just wrong.
I would only change a few minor things about my life. I would have more money (as I could save it up for longer until the interest accrued) and would use it to live in different areas for periods of time. I am interested in every country, culture, and language. It would give me time I would wish to study all of them at my leisure.
I find people amazing things to study and get to know. I would simply continue to do it. I would write. I doubt I would publish anything except for the very rare occasion when I feel it would do some good.
Mostly, I would simply do as I always do: If I have never done it, I would at least once. If I have never seen it, I would crave to see it up close. If I don't know it, I would make a point to try. Etc., Etc., and Etc.
I feel I would not want to live forever knowing I would out live everyone I care about.
I have no idea what I would choose there are ups and downs to both sides.
To be immortal you would live longer than any of your loved ones, you would see the destruction of the world in slow motion all the wars the famine the hate and anger in which agony tails along with.
One the plus side you could study anything and everything from the Japanese language to the history of Germany.
You could save a crap load of money and be able to live/visit anywhere, you could spend endless time doing things a human couldn't.
To be human is quite the opposite you get to live with your loved ones and when they die you know your not far behind them instead of century's away.
You would only have to endure one war maybe two but not millions of them. You wouldn't have to see everyones sorrow and agony only yours. When your human you live inside your own bubble sort of like your not getting the whole picture. You only think of yourself. Being an immortal you would travel and see EVERYONES sorrows.
Down fall to being human is you could die at any moment anywhere. You never know. You could live to be 105 or you could die at the young age of 2
Your brain wouldn't be able to hold all the information in the world to learn every language and every countries history. You wouldn't know the wonders of the world (unless your a big star then you could at least visit the other countries)
no more tasting chocolate or pizza unless your victim blood tasted of it...not sure how that goes lol
So there is a down side and an up side to being both mortal and immortal.
Me I couldn't decide. It if was on a whim and someone grabbed me randomly and said you have a choice to make in 5 minutes you can either stay as you are or become an immortal being....I'd probably tell them to choose lmao
If I were an immortal and I had a lover that needed to be changed or stay human that would be entirely up to them.
It's not right to take someones choice away from them it's just immoral and cruel.
I would not choose to live forever. However if it was something forced upon me then I would spend my time living in the places I would love to visit now. Learn different cultures, study and actually live as each culture I encounter lives.
I would like companions, so I think I would end up creating a family or coven of my own and find like minded individuals who share my passion for learning and exploring the world.
why live forever and suffer all the pain and heartaches over and over again as everyone you care about grows old and dies, even if I had an eternal partner it would get old after awhile and bored, we would only end up wanting to kill one another lOl
I mean forever is like well eternal, just way to much to Fathom in my opinion. just me I guess
A question that comes back to haunt every post. a choice, yes or no.
yet depection of a vampire and its prey sometimes no choice is given but just taken.
live forever a curse in many ways, see loved ones die, the world change or end.
i wouldn't want to be immortal because i don't want to see friends and family die.
couple of points...
first, by immortality i assume you mean as hollywood has shown vampires to have? in that case its not immortality (that would be like the gods) its just an extended life span. if you are living your life and after 500 years you get bored, just buy a sun lamp.
for those that are so worried about those that you love dying and leaving you alone....what keeps that from happening during a mortal life span? and if an extended life span is a bad thing, then why live in the first place? i dont ask this to be snide, just to make you think. with life is opportunity.
while soulshroud and i disagree on much, i do agree with him here. following the path of st. germain indeed. exploring eternity, all of the different peoples and places...
i think it would be an adventure beyond price....
and if i found one to share eternity with, then my priceless adventure would then be even more valuable to me.
just my thoughts ofcoarse and your milage may vary

I would most certainly choose immortality. I dislike the daytime, and would be quite happy not to have to see the sun. As fas as my mate, i would give them the choice. I have a tendancy to be a loner so it wouldn't bother me either way. If it were possible, i would seek out others like myself. I believe I would be happy handing out with them.
I would be immortal. and i would keep journals of the "life" i lived and not regret anything.
if i met someone who i connected with on that level, i would give them the choice of immortality. if they didn't want it, then i would just move on, i guess.
gives a new meaning to "til death to us part"
to twist the question a bit tho...what if you couldnt pass on the gift to another....
would you still choose to be immortal?
~W~
Since we're fantasizing here, what if you were immortal and couldn't die, and the rest of the world did, along with all animals, all vegetation, all sea life...there you'd be, utterly alone in a dead world. Hmmmm...
i would choose immortality and if i was avampire i would ask my mate to join me because to me to live forever would be meaning less and of course i would ask my children to
I would chose mortality. Living forever is just not something that is important to me. Immortality wouldn't change the fact that you would still have bills, and have to work and deal with, and other issues that would still plague your life.
Not to mention becoming Immortal would more than likely bring another list of issues to deal with. I like being stress free and would hate to have to deal with the extra baggage.
Being or not being immortal? What a choice to have to make. It seems many have mentioned the consequences of that choice. Yes there are those, as there are with any choice you make in life, it is how you deal with them that makes a life good or bad. So truly can not answer that question now.
As for having a mate/friend and then either giving them the choice or just making them immortal would have to go with the first. Was it not your choice to become immortal? So therefore it would be wrong to take that choice away from a friend. Would most definately talk to them and ensure they understood that it is their choice to do what they want and don't blame anyone if it turns out not to be what you thought. Which is something we as human beings have a habit of doing.
I sit back and think about a movie, "The Green Mile", and what the main character said about watching loved ones come and go, watching and burying friends. So at some point, if immortal, I truly think I would want to die. That cycle of making and losing friends would slowly drive me to become a recluse, then what good is an eternity of loneliness.
I would hate to be Immortal, no matter what. Yeah it would be great never to get sick. But look at the other side. Having to see your friends and love ones pass away. And if everyone was Immortal, where would we go to support that amount of humans, earth would not support us all.
i would choose immoratality only if i could spend forever with my wife and kids
i would choose immoratality only if i could spend forever with my wife and kids
i would choose immoratality only if i could spend forever with my wife and kids
If you had the chance to live forever, would you choose to and what would you do with your life?
I would be immortal. In the vast time id spend i would continue to serve my coutry for many years... then id do everything possible just to experience it all and know it all
How would it change, if you were inmortal?
I would have a thorough inderstanding of life and all its applications.
Also if you were an immortal and a vampyre, would you give your lover (if you had one), no choice and bite them so you'd have someone to be with in the hereafter?
It wouldnt be right to give someone that gift/curse if they didnt want it
Any chance you think you'd regret your choice to be immortal?
Maybe. All the stress that would come with thousands of years could become unbearable
Any chance you'd choose to not be immortal and if so, why would you choose not to be?
my family
If i had a choice I would defiantly live forever!! I would be a living witness to history. I studied archaeology and history at uni, so having a change to live in history would be amazing. As well as having to opportunity to watch what would become of man kind.
If I were an immortal vampire would I turn my lover? Only if they wanted me to, but I would not then spend the rest of my life with then, I would probably get board after a while. lol
first...true immortality? as in you would still be here when the sun burns out?
in that case id have to think long and hard about that.
if you mean immortality in the vampiric sense, then certainly. to see the years flow by, watching the world change, new things constantly happening....
be like watching a show ...
and there would be time for love of a depth that is rarely found .
~W~
Immortality.. though It would be hard to see everyone I hold dear die.. family.. and such.
but if you are long lived , you may experience that anyway.
if it happened you would have to just go on...live and love.
those that loved you and died would prolly want that.
~W~
If I could say I would in a way want to be immortal but in another way it would suck too see everyone you love and care about die. But then too don't we have to go through that and see that anyway. So what could it hurt other than a never ending nightmare of the broken heart over and over
