I just got some things and questions on my mind that I have to lay out on here.

I am going to be extremely blunt and real about what I got to say so yeah and oh it is just a opinion so don't get ass hurt and post something stupid because it is annoying.

Now down to business:

1. Do you the people on here really think your some dark being like a vampire or lycan aka werewolf and why... does it put you past some insecurity or does it make you feel better to say I drink blood??

2. What about the vampire or lycan makes you feel so much like them if you claim it because in order to feel something dont you have to experience it?

3. Now does this site create like some alterate reality for you to escape in so you can go about your lives and continue thru your own small hells?

4. Do you feel if this applies to you that should you have a power on here that it makes you feel like your more powerful?

Such As:

1.Coven Master
2.Dominar
3.Sentoran
4.Procurator etc..

5. What would you do in your life if this is your heaven and it some how stopped existing... where would you be at and I ask because everytime you log off or what not does the problem/s you have still remain??

6. Should you be able to demand respect or expect it if you have a title or have had time here because I think it makes no difference now understood you might know what your doing in the job but I still see no reason why should you expect respect.?

7. I always see everyone on here trying to and no offense but thanking Cancer for this site and all that but they fail to see the true purpose of it in the first so how can you enjoy and thank someone for something if you don't know what it is your thanking them for and understand the reason it was made?

Now I ask these questions because I want to understand the mentality of this site for you the people and why you cherish this site and what it does for you.

Thank you for your time and read ladies and gents and sorry if this is not the usual post about vampires and herbs and all that other stuff that you tend to discuss on here.

Aside from your overall distasteful tone of arrogance, you raise some good questions for people to consider.

For me I have always stated I came to this site because I have always enjoyed Vampire myths/stories. Never have I stated that I am a "vampire". There are those here that do- but from what I have seen they also admit to having real lives and the issues that arise from having a life.

Then there are those that choose to role-play. That is a different story. From them Vampire Rave is more of a game within a game. In truth there are so many levels to gaming on this site that you merely have to choose which one suits you and go from there. And it is a valid choice to not play.

So because my only true power on this site is generated by my mind (my ability to think and reason- not talking a super power) and the buttons o doom that I have… I will warn those that choose to answer here to be respectful- even if the tone of this thread did not start off in that manner as it will be watched. If it gets out of hand the thread will be closed.

With all do respect lady I dont think to many will be posting just seeing which select few will and I show not argorrance but just a curiosity for knowledge.

It is just different from what people on here are used I think and truely believe so with all do respect if you dont feel this should be here just tell me and I will kill it myself.

I have no problem with it because that in itself teaches me a lot of things about this site anyway.

Is using your words to make it sound as if you view yourself as superior. While that may not have been your intent, that is how it sounded.

To answer your question, I am here because I like to write about the supernatural. The purpose of the coven I run is specifically for writers to get feedback and critique so that they may improve their writing or whatever creative endeavour they bring to the group for review.

Unfortunately the only vampires I have met in real life would be those that are considered the psychic type. While impressive with how their charisma is, I still was able to view that life for them is truly not much different from my own life. This has actually lead to my own stories taking on a different tone when I write them and I have found it a most useful experience to have had.

Sadly I do think many people role-play their actual persona here on Vampire Rave, and while it would be hypocritical for me to judge them for it- it simply is not something I have an interest in participating in. That stated, there is merit to the creative drive that such an undertaking brings forth. They have to be quick in thoughts and responses to keep their “personality” alive and fresh. Not to mention they have to remember what they have said.

My personal thoughts are, that Vampire Rave offers the user the most choice for how they choose to interact in this cyber environment, and for that Cancer should be thanked, as it was his work that allows us this “playground” to experience. The rest is our choice.

No that was not my intent and no that is not how it sounded sorry it is how you mind perceives and judges what I said then you go from there and reply with a answer to it.

I am not arguing as stated I am trying to learn what makes this place tick so to speak.

And now I believe people are possibly not to inclined to post since there have been to high powered people disagree with it and say the same thing as the other but using a different set of words and explanations.

You will have to forgive me if I actually read and interpret posts but do not just post for the hell of it and whats on my mind.

Nope, what they think of me is their business. What I ascribe to is who I am in general. It has nothing to do with security issues in the slightest since I couldn't care less about what others think of me. This is NOT High School. I never post how or what I "feed" on or from. This is not societies business.

Lycan do not exist, this is a movie based term with no actual evidence of existance. As far as the vampire, the term is the closest to relate to other then say, indigo child or other terms associated with certain conditions that the body either goes through or the individual has experianced on a constant basis. It is all simply relation really.

If this site creates alternate realities for its users, then so be it. Play a video game or read a book, they do the same things. Nothing to get in a huff about.

A power trip is of a personal nature, though very few if anyone at all ever get into trouble regarding said issues, then I am sure that Cancer himself would not have entrusted them with their admin associations.

Sounds like a psychological querry to me. Ranting to others online about your daily life, or resorting to another reality of the same is common amongst those who just want to get away from it all. A release is always healthy. Just don't take it too far.

Respect is earned not gained. Titles are the same. Though who really cares about what others should think of them, if they are not getting paid for the job?

I agree with this paragraph, but Cancer is due for some thanks since he is a pioneer in this area. It is all in good nature, I suspect.

I did not loose any Sire status ~Knight~, I simply deleted my last profile and started anew. I know how easy it is to level up, though I have not taking it upon myself to rise to the top as of yet. Since there is really no desire for it at the moment.

I'm going to try and answer your questions as they apply to me and my time here on VR.

No I don’t think anyone here believes me to be a “dark” person, I’ve always been upfront about being nothing more than human. I’m not insecure and don’t see how such a claim could make anyone feel more secure. I came here to see the site my friends were enjoying and stayed because I found so much that interested me.

The closest association I have with creatures of the night, is my preference for them in the stories I read, movies I watch and things I try to write about myself. But empathy does not require direct experience of something to use your mind and emotions to place yourself in the others place.

I can use my own mind to provide all the alternate realities I want, but to find somewhere to speak with other people who share my interests and are intelligent and interesting, makes this site special to me.

I get to try and help others enjoy this site as much as I do and that’s what my position means to me.

Life’s problems will always be with us in one form or another if we’re breathing, so I don’t come here to escape them. Sometimes to relax and destress but not to pretend it fixes things.

I do not expect respect, but I will extend it until such a time, as it becomes clear that reason and simple manners are beyond the person I’m dealing with, then their treatment will reflect how they have treated me.

I can thank Cancer, for making this site, even if why I think it exists may not be complete. I enjoy myself here and the friends I have made. I have met great writers that share their works freely that I’d never have found if not for this site. So saying Thank You, is but a small thing, when you look at it that way

That is a upfront version for me because I wanted people to actually read not just post and if they take it as being rude or something they will read it all for they dont agree with it and will then want to make arguement.

I came to the site as I have always loved the darker side of Vampires, when they had supernatural powers on film and TV. I stayed because it became a place I could be myself, meaning no one judges the darker part of me. And never have said I need a cup of O- to get my night going.

I am a Sentoran but don’t abuse the position. Am I more powerful? No. I still do what all members do, just a little more work now to help keep the site run smoothly.

VR my heaven? My problems still remain when I log off? Yes Sir they sure do. Maybe I am a little more relaxed and my mind a little more stilled but still the same problems to deal with.

Seems the only people who think respect is demanded is those who have problems giving it. Do I demand respect? No. That said I think each member should show and have shown respect from others on the site. In fact I think the title I have makes me show more respect to members then I would otherwise. Bet you did not expect that answer. Do I try to earn respect? Yes.

Cancer is giving his time to make this site for its members. Understand he is running a business but he is also very active to keep the site updated, new, fun and safe for its members. Be it for what ever reason you are here, what ever it is you get out of the site- he is the reason it is here for you. Seeing as he is the owner, developer, programmer, designer, and all around buck stops here dude of the site he should be thanked. When I thank him it is for a reason, and I believe all who do are the same.

I think fictional vampires parallel humans, so we feel like each other, mutually... along those metaphor lines.

People thank Cancer for creating a space online they 'dig'. What's the big deal with that? They don't need to know anything more than the fact they are enjoying themselves.

No I am pure human. I do not drink blood. I do not eat raw meat. I prefer it well done. I have no special powers and can not transform into any other life form. Being here on VR does not even relate to my real life insecurities. If they did, I might be here more often.

No I do not believe that I have to experience something to believe in it. I believe that if I fell off a 10 story building I would die. I have not experienced it but believe it. There are many things like that out there.

This is not an alternate reality. This is something to do and chat to people and pass the time when I no longer want to work on something else. I have no personal hells that are not of my own making. If this takes me out of my head for a while......then thank the powers that be for it being here......and that would be Cancer.
