Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,share with us some of those paranormal experiences you have had or heard of throughout your lives. I will share one with you.

I work in an elementary school that was built in the early 1800's.It was destroyed by a tornado during the night of the big school dance. It was rebuilt and reopened and housed grades K thru 12th. In it's history a young boy fell off the roof to his death.The school was also used as a makeshift morgue in a time of need.

Rumors of every kind circulate about apparitions and strange occurances within the school.There is even a famous picture with a close up of the roof where the ghost of a little boy stands.This picture is currently hanging in the office.I would post it,but I wouldn't want to get into trouble so I'll keep it anonymous. Anyways,I have worked there for 6 years an have had some strange things happen to me.Misplaced objects,slamming doors,strange noises at night and I've even witnessed a jar of peanut butter jump off a countertop and proceed to roll across the floor. I have taken photos of the kids during our holiday parties and such and some have bright orbs and strange smoke in them.
Even though the school is"haunted"the principle likes this to stay quiet and majority of the young kids do not know about it.Just last week I was working with a little girl in a side room.She kept looking out the window over my shoulder.I asked what she was looking at.She then replied,"who is up there on that roof?"I looked and saw no one.She insisted one of the students got on the roof and was staring at us.I assured her nobody was there and told her it was probably a workman.Needless to say there was nobody working on the roof that day.Sent chills across both of my arms.

The question "What is a ghost?" has been asked by millions of people for thousands of years. Every culture across the planet views ghosts differently. Some believe that ghosts are evil spirits that should be feared, while others believe that ghosts are here to help and protect the living.

Ghosts are generally thought of as the apparition (the appearance of) or spirit of someone or some thing that is no longer living. Many theorize that a ghost is simply caught between the world of the living and the afterlife. Possibly confused about their own death. This is why many people believe that ghosts are often found in places of terrible tragedy and sudden death.

Other theories regard ghosts as just another form of energy. We are all made up of energy. Some scientists believe that energy doesn't die, but simply changes form. Ghosts could be the same energy in a new form, without a physical body. Another theory is that ghosts are only imprints left on the atmosphere around us by what some call our "life force".

Although there may be no definite explanation for what a ghost is, it is hard to deny that there is definitely something about them that has captured the minds of millions. With thousands of reported sightings and encounters for centuries, it is also hard to deny that ghosts just might be real. The thought of a ghost being real is scary to some and fascinating to others. Can they see us? Do they hear us when we speak?

There are different types of ghosts that people have reported encounters with as well. History will tell us that not all ghosts are considered friendly and some actually create feelings of sadness and terror.

A poltergeist is said to be one form of a ghost that is reported to move objects and make noises to let it's presence be known. Poltergeists are often regarded as bad or evil spirits and are sometimes even associated with demons. A poltergeist is said to sometimes center around one person in a household. This person is usually someone who may be suffering from some form of emotional turmoil or change. Adolescents are often associated with this type of ghost.

Demons are often referred to as ghosts, but are theorized by many to be a completely different thing. Demons are most commonly believed to be fallen angels or forces of pure evil. Some believe that there are two basic forces that hold our world into place. One being in the form of goodness and purity, while the other takes the form of absolute darkness and evil. Demons are believed by some to a manifestation of that influence. They are also believed to have the power to inhabit the bodies of humans or animals.



Apparitions are the most common type of ghost and involve the appearance or sighting of someone that is no longer living. Apparitions can be full body or partial in appearance. Some apparitions are said to appear only in places that were familiar to them in life, while others remain a mystery. Some say that this type of ghost can appear to relatives or loved ones and have been said to warn of imminent danger.

There are many other types of ghosts and paranormal activity and the best way to get the answers that you may be seeking is to do some investigating of your own. Research and theorize for yourself. "What is a ghost?" just might be a question that can never be completely answered. People will continue to investigate and theorize, but we may not get the answer to this age old question until we become ghosts ourselves.

Personally, I've never experienced anything paranormal, at least not that I'm aware of. But that certainly doesn't mean these things don't exist.

Mom didn't think twice that a ghost story about my new school (third grade) in a new state after my parent's divorce might be a tad bit upsetting. And the ghost was another third grader who had acted up one too many times in class. Finally, the teacher lost it and told the kid to meet her in the hall. She assigned the classroom a bunch of addition problems and warned them not to leave their seats. They didn't hear anything for awhile, and then there were screams echoing in that tinny way that only a school lavatory can create. The kids squirmed in their seats, but didn't get up. None of the other teachers in the school went to investigate, either, because the screams stopped quickly. The teacher did not return to her class, but one little girl from another classroom who couldn't hold her pee in got permission to go to the bathroom. She ran in there and slipped on something sticky. She got up and her hands and clothes were covered with blood pouring out from one of the stalls where the sound of a loud PLOP was followed by the toilet flushing. She screamed and ran out of the bathroom, her pee running down her leg. By the time her teacher went to investigate, the plumbing had backed up, and pieces of the unruly kid were flowing everywhere around his disoriented teacher who apologized for the mess she'd made.

Due to my darling room mate and friend Vampressmindy, I have in the past year learned to see,talk,feel and hear at times Ghosts and SPirits. I currently have 2 females, one lil boy who is related to one of the girls, a demon dog and old man in my room though the old man stays in bathroom more than anything. I have caught EVPS at an cemetry Vampressmindy and I went to and still go to where one even said the Lords Prayer. I can feel at times some ghosts pain and see how they died if they grant me that. It is not always plesant but it is something I am learning to cope with. So I have my friend to thank for this.

I forgot to post the ghost part of the story. By the time I got to this school, the girl's lavatory was periodically closed off because of "backed up pipes." Also, there were rumors of bloody handprints on the stall walls, although I never saw them. Once I went in when the janitor was there scrubbing down the walls, and he muttered, "Fucking blood."

I was more startled by the "fucking" than the blood part.

Also, periodically there were foul smells, not like grade school toilets, but like dead stuff.

I am now living in my great parents home whom passed in 2000 and 2002... After only being here for a week I noticed a few things.. Doors opening and closeing.. Tvs turning up by themselves.. I eventually called a friend out who is gifted in the sight of those whom haved passed.. He came out.. And told me that My great grandmother (Mee-Mee) And my greatgrandather (Gran-Gran) and as well as a aunt whom passed was here.. But mainly my mee-mee.. She had ill comments about my Kat Von Dee posters.. Typical mee-mee comment.. and as he moved through the house he kept going back to the front room.. He eventually came to a picture and asked me if it had always been there.. Cause She was telling him about a ring.. When we finally got to that picture as he moved his hand around the frame my heart jumped in my throat when I heard the cling of metal... He found a ring.. It was a ring that my Great Grandmothers mom gave to her.. It is of no money value but was and IS of value to her.. There is much more to this story.. Im just giving you a lil bit... If you want to know all the things that happened afterwards write me ... Not that I dont want to type it.. Just too much skeptisism..

i have had some weird times . i am from new orleans . i spend atol of time in the graveyards here . they are just so exciting .the old tombs . the art .everything . now i have been at the gates onetime and had the chance to talk with a man that had a weird story of a life where he was a slave driven against his will to live in the st. fransisville plantation . he had talks of voodoo and lots of torture he acounted . well after about an hour of talking and walking though the graveyard taking pictures and just relaxing i seem to find the grave with the mans name on the tomb . when i turned to look at the figure i had been talking to he was gone .now here in new orleans they say they graveyards are just another word and the dead are seen walking around . i had trouble understandig that night did not know if it was demons or ghost ,but with tortured souls it hard to tell .

Well since no one called me crazy i will tell you somemore.. After he had left we had somemore stuff happen.. So he came back out.. While my husband put the kids to bed I was showing my friend the orbs that would shoot across the monitor screen.. and told him that I didnt believe it to just be dust.. He confirmed what I thought. I tried to catch them with pictures from my digital camera and had no luck.. So he came around the corner and started taking pics.. Catching stuff just above my children and their beds.. To make things even more intense before I showed him the monitor we placed a paper in the front room with different symbols to help answer certin questions we put on the paper.. she answered the questions and also wrote "I Love you" In the middle of the paper.. And Yes I can say for sure that no one wrote what was on that paper.. Myself and my friend and my husband saw the pen standing straight up.. as well as caught a pic of someone right there.. If you want evidence I will upload a photo.. Promise.. There is more.. and I will tell you the craziest thing that took place in this house if you wish..

i know for fact that ghosts are real for i have seen them since i was a kid and see them to this day. my apt has few in it including animal ones and i can talk to them and so forth. i have pics of some ghosts from places i have gone to and evps of some as well. im always up for talking to others who have seen or heard ghosts

I've had several different experiences short and long term after several family members have died.

The only way i can explain the fact that I knew my mom was dead before me, my sister, brother, aunt, and grandmother got to the hospital is it felt like the after effects of an earthquake. The ripple effects so to speak. We were 5 minutes from the hospital and I got a very horrible feeling and we got to the hospital and my mom had died 5 minutes prior. Eerie because at the exact time of her death I felt the ripple effect. I hadn't said a word about what i felt because i wanted it confirmed.

It was somewhat similiar when my grandmother died. She was in hospice care in the hospital the last few weeks of her life. The day she died was the beginning of the week. After school me and my sister went to her hospital room as usual but mema was breathing weird. We knew she was close. We went outside and talked about old times and several different family members had come out at different times to stay with me and rachel and yet again I got the same feeling about mema than i did with mom. A few minutes later my uncle (moms brother) came out and said she'd died.

When my cousin died almost a year ago it was the same thing, I got the same feeling that he was gone but nobody told me until several hours after his death. I had an exam that day but I couldn't exactly go see him because he was in Arizona and i'm here in florida. Why nobody told me until my dad did when he came to get me i don't know. I don't get it because its not like I could really do anything. O well i was told and thats all that really mattered to me.



I have had many more instances where i have felt that something is wrong with someone and it ends up being confirmed later on. Being Empathic I feel when someone is around whether i know who it is or not and why or not and in the instances above I felt relatives die.

Mischka.. Sound like you are what they call a "Reaper" You either know when someone is going to pass or like you said the feelings you get when someone passes..

I lived in a house quite a few years ago, where if you went into the main bedroom, you would sometimes hear a woman and child laughing and playing. Problem was that the house to the back of us was a young couple with no children, the house next to them was a single guy, and on the other side was a couple with no children either.

So it would be seriously spooky, I even got onto my bed to look out the window facing the house at the back and there was no one in the back yard. It was during the day, when no one was at home due to work.

Sadly I have never ever seen a ghost, in all the years that I have been looking I have never actually satisfied myself that I have seen a ghost!

I have been to many places in my life while searching for the truth...

I have heard the odd strange noise...although any noise can be strange in the middle of the night, even day, when one is alone and feeling vulnerable.

These are very interesting stories

Theban you may search but never find but you may encounter a spirit when you least expect it. You may already have with the noise you experienced. If a noise cannot be explained then the only explanation is that it is paranormal.

i grew up in a house that had someone/thing of a supernatural nature "living" in it. i have several stories to share regarding it.

i moved from there when i was 17, and never found anything else supernatural until i moved to ohio many years later. i lived up there for 6 years in an old house, and experienced just about everything except for seeing the ghost (altho many others, including the cable guy did see her).

I was writing a book and the main villain always wore a black coat that shrouded him from sight.
So one day I go over to a friends house to stay the night. As we were going to bed I felt something cold touch my foot. I woke up to look up at a hooded black figure. I stared up at it and started backing against the wall yelling for my friend to get up and turn on the lights. As he saw it he jumped out of bed and turned on the lights. It dissapeared and we haven't seen again since, but that room never felt the same.

ive seen two ghost cats,my neibour came back to say goodbye a month after she died,one at the place i used to work in,some orbs,a ghost spitfire and a ghost heinkel bomber.also anne naylor.

Highgate Vampire-The Legend

Highgate Cemetery was constructed in 1839 and it was a very fashionable burial place for Victorians. By the 1960's Highgate Cemetery had fallen into neglect and decay. Stories started circulating that the cemetery was haunted and newspapers started reporting England's first Vampire in over a hundred years.

In 1963 two 16 year old convent girls were walking home at night after having visited friends in Highgate Village. Their return journey took them down Swain's Lane past the cemetery. They could not believe their eyes as they passed the graveyard's north gate at the top of the lane, for in front of them, bodies appeared to be emerging from their tombs.

Another incident, some weeks later, involved a couple who were also walking down Swains lane. The lady recorded glimpsing something hideous hovering behind the gate's iron railings. Her fiance also saw it, and both stood frozen staring at it for what seemed like several minutes. Its face bore an expression of absolute horror.

Soon others sighted the same phantom as it hovered along the path behind the gate where gravestones are visible either side until consumed in darkness. Some who actually witnessed the spectral figure wrote to their local newspaper to share their experience. Discoveries were made of animal carcasses drained of blood. Very soon it was being described as a vampire.

In 1971 several years after the many publicised vampire sightings, a young girl claims she was actually attacked by the vampire in the lane outside the cemetery. She was returning home in the early hours of the morning when she was suddenly thrown to the ground with tremendous force by a "tall black figure with a deathly white face. At that moment a car stopped to help her and the vampire "vanished" in the glare of the headlamps.

She was taken to the police station in a state of shock, luckily only suffering abrasions to her arms and legs. The police immediately made a thorough search of the area, but could offer no explanation to the incident. More mysterious still was the fact that where the vampire vanished, the road was lined by 12ft walls.

Another interesting case is that of the man who was hypnotised by something in the cemetery. He had gone into the cemetery one evening to look around, and as the light began to rapidly fade he decided to leave, but became hopelessly lost. Not being a superstitious person he walked calmly around looking for the gate when suddenly he became aware of something behind him. Swinging around he became "hypnotised with fear" at the tall dark figure of the vampire confronted him. So great was the intensity of his fear that he stood motionless for several minutes after the vampire vanished. He later recalled that it was almost as if he had been paralysed with fear by some force.

I used to see and hear things when I was younger like age 13 and below. I remember I was with my sister I was about 5 and we were dancing in our room to the radio and the radio would go out and you would hear these eerie voices. I don't know if that's something but it definitely stood out, I also felt a presence of some older man there.

When we moved I also experienced feelings of being watched from day one of staying there and feeling that I was invading somethings space a particular corner in a room. I also was influenced by the negative entity and it gave me these weird thoughts. I also woke up one night in that house, I was on top bunk and when I woke up I saw a tiny ball of light with a long streaming tail flying around the ceiling and I woke up to tell my mom but it was gone by the time she came. I was sitting at the dinning table by myself one night and the ceiling fan had been unscrewed and it fell on my back. Just weird things would happen. My sister has also has a few experiences in that house with a mans face in the bathroom looking in the shower accused my dad but he claimed he saw no one and he would never do that, and she also heard a little girl laughing that she thought was me but I was asleep in the morning. My dad was alone in that house home early from work, he was the only one there and the radio would turn itself on. I don't know if all this would be spirit/ghost activity or poltergeist activity.

But after we moved from that house to another, the previous owners husband had passed away and I would sense his presence in that house, he was an observant lonely spirit, I always thought he was looking for his wife in the house. He never bothered me he always watched but I had developed depression in that house at age 11-13.

I moved out of that house and I live in another and this house seems okay, nothing out of the ordinary, no previous owner concerns.

I've always experienced things and have been empathic to people. I blame it on my sensitivity. I don't let it get to me too much but I don't know if my sensitivity has decreased as I've aged... I haven't experienced anything in the past 5 years. I heard that the children/teenage mind is more open to spirits because their third eye is more receptive. As you get older, the third eye slowly closes unless you stay in tune with your inner self.
