Many of you are familiar with the Coven of Purgatory. IndigoMoon has had a hard time logging in lately. As a result, Saetan has taken over as Coven Master.

Purgatory is a special Coven within Vampire Rave. There are many reasons *why* you might end up there. If you do find yourself there, there is only one escape: reach Sire. Until you do, you're stuck.

Saetan is the new gatekeeper.

Oh I will for sure. I intend to run it the way it was designed. The only thing that has changed within the Coven is the staff and myself. Everything else stays exactly the same.

so, is this coven a place of punish then?

why do i expect that i would not enjoy my stay there?

I for one am a proud of Purgatory, and I am even more excited with the new gatekeeper who intends on ruling.

Why does "an act of indecency" sound more interesting than an "indecent act?"

Actually they both sound good. If you go to Purgatory with all the indecent ones are you more likely or less likely to continue your indecent activities?

Actually it's all a lie. Purgatory was very much dead under IndigoMoon's control. I know, I was in it on multiple occasions. There was nothing "cool" about it.

Now that Saetan owns it I'm sure that will change completely.

So there's at least two people in this thread who got out. How did you manage that?

First time I Sired out I believe, second time I exchanged accounts...and third time my account was suspended for infinity so I made a new account. :)

So Purgatory has a new leader, neh? The only people I know of that have gone there are the ones who were just plain....indecent {There's that word again!} in the covens. I don't know what goes on there, though I'm not quite sure I'd like to see it. I prefer to have a say in which coven I'd like to be in there. Personally, it may take me several years before I reach sire. If I was stuck there and didn't enjoy it, I'd probably end up leaving VR. D:

I would approve if some people didn't try to trade in people that dont deserve it.

There are some to be sure, that need to be there, but some get traded in there for no real reason at all.

Well, as we all n ow it the members that are there are one step away from permanent suspension- the coven blinds no one because let's just face it: you weren't sent there for a good time. They don't tend to play well with others, and you're NOT protected from a backlash a member might have against you. The name may be Purgatory but you just got sent to HELL.

So can The Coven of Purgatory have an alliance? Will there ever be one?

No...Purgatory will never be part of any alliance. (I am also LilithaVain, ACM of Purgatory.) The point of Purgatory is a punishment for members who dont follow the rules of VR. It's kind of like the last chance program. However, we never blind our members no matter what and they are free to say whatever they want within the coven walls. Hopefully this keeps their bad behavior out of the rest of VR.

There are to be NO TRADES OUT OF Purgatory!! NO NO NO! The answer is and always will be NO! The only way out is to hit Sire or to commit VR Suicide. I suggest hitting Sire. If you commit VR Suicide, we will just find your new profile and you will belong to us once again, just at a lower level. As for the other members that are there by their own accord, they are treated better by the staff. The belligerent ones get picked on all the time.

As for Sabrefang, he has blocked 1157 people and you are giving him the reaction that he wants. Just ignore him. And he is in Purgatory and he is actually a very intelligent person. Too bad he blocks cause it would be cool to talk to in a PM. As a matter of fact, the CM gave him his mark!

Yeah...it definitely is that! And it is interesting also due to active and cool members such as yourself :)

lol. I always liked the look of Purgatory, when I first joined the VR i considered asking to join. and often stop by to read the public pages. Its such a good idea.

Purg is very fun hell sab talks in there every now and then smart guy I like him! We now after a CM put some innocent people in to Purg ask that you put why the person you are trading to us needs to be in Purg, no more of this they are never on or you dated your cm and broke it off now they are butt hurt.

You used to be able to say anything in Purgatory because it was dead. Now that there are so many members there, especially newbs, someone's probably going to report you. And even though they say they don't get involved in personal member drama, they still look at ya, and remember ya...and that stacks up and one day you find yourself locked out. :p

I like being in there. We have a freedom that other Covens would look down on...i.e. the way we can talk normally, not sensor anything and not be judged by what we have to say or not say.
I also like the idea of not getting into trouble for not being active every day... I do have a family and children*demons that they are* that I do have to take care of.
We have fun in there, just like I'm sure those of you who are in a Coven have fun in yours.
I am proud to say that I am a member.

Is nudity allowed in Purgatory?

Part of Purgatories appeal is that members are there because they are combative, can't get along with others, sexual harassment, drama causers, and many other reasons. Just because you don't like the ACM doesn't mean you send all their friends from your coven to Purg and trick the CM into accepting the trade either! Just like Airianna just said.

Anyway, these members are there because they can't control themselves. What is said in Purgatory STAYS in Purgatory. If someone posts things from Purgatory in their journal or in a PM, it's their behind! Part of Purgatory's purpose is to be able to post whatever you want in the forums. It is a "special" coven for "special" people. And I do NOT mean special in the good sense of the word.

However, there are a few members who are there of their own accord and they enjoy themselves. Hey, me AND my sister are both in there! LOL

Nude allowed? Only one way to find out! :D

Coven of Purgatory is there to be a punishment. It's not a nice Coven, it's a Coven filled with VR's garbage. Members or people who try and make it appealing to other regular members are wrong in doing so - The place is there to be annoying, vulgar, and generally ruin your VR experience. You can ignore your Society, but you can ignore a lot of things. The fact is being in Purgatory pretty much takes away your Society experience on VR until yout hit Sire.

You do not want to be in Purgatory or affiliated with it in anyway. It's a bad reputation.

It's also a coven now filled with people who want to be there along with those that don't. It's what you make of it. It's there to show people how the society system works. If you are under the level of Sire- you don't have a choice which Coven or House you are in. If you've complained about it and think it is your choice and the system is 'unfair': Purgatory shows you that inductions can be forced, and that masters have every right to keep you there until you've earned your opportunity to choose (leveled to Sire).

And so, people go their on their own as well. Some people don't mind at all how the system works. They've accepted it.

Yep..she's right. There are some really good people in Purgatory as well as some really nasty people. It's 50/50 with Purgatory. I am proud of my coven. I don't really care what other people think.

As far as flaming other members, images, didn't you just send a society message about that yourself, the other day?

*imagesinwords edit* My message was about something different. It had nothing to do with 'flaming'. My System Message was stating you cannot dictate ratings- nothing to do with this situation. Flaming happens in a forum setting. On The Dark Network, forum, vamp box, and kismets are held to 'no flaming' rules. People are free to not like each other publicly in their journals.

Okay, let me straighten some things out.

Purgatory is not necessarily a punishment. Okay? It's actually not that bad. Since the new management it's been... dare I say it... fun?

The people that really don't want to be there usually don't participate and that is just fine and dandy with me.

A lot of the people that are there now are really fun.

It doesnt feel like a prison to me and to be honest I'd rather be in purgatory than somewhere else that would penalize me for being inactive.

There are some bad apples there but I dont usually have to deal with them.

As for wanting to be a fly on the wall... thats up to you. If you can handle it .o0(MUA HA HA HA HA)
