Vampirism is both a state of being and a life path. A true vamp acquires the "vampiric soul" when born and so must awaken to it in the life ahead. All true vamps have their own time line in their awakening and the development of any abilities. Some vamps know of their energy needs early in life and some later.

I knew as a child about my bloodlust when I would hide in a closet to be alone and away from parents and feed upon myself. I noticed my pranic and psychic energy needs later as a teen when in crowds. Vampires are energy feeders and feed off the blood and psychic and pranic energy of others. This need varies among all as does the level of ability. Blood energy feeds us, it does not make us. Many awaken at different times of their lives to the "bloodlust and pranic energy needs that vamps have, but they all have one thing in common, they are vampire and were when they came into this world.

One of the typical myths of the film industry is to become a vamp by a "bite" or this "blood transfer". Blood is energy for the energy feeder. Blood contains many compounds and easily will make anyone to vomit when ingested too much. All vamps who are energy feeders of blood have their own levels of need and tolerance. There are vamps who are blood energy feeders and those who are psychic feeders, but many combine elements of both. The psy energy feeders seek the pranic or "life force" energy of others. This could include the aura or empathic energy. Some psychic vamps feed successfully on the emotional energy of many around them. Many therefore like to be among crowds where there is much energy flowing. Also there is sexual pranic energy that makes for a great feed for the psy vamp. Some feed from natures furies, like thunderstorms and snowstorms...high energy.

Most vamps combine many ways for successful energy feeding.Also the availability of donors is vital. Religion plays no role in the life of a vampire. It's role is independent of being a vamp. In all, the body dies, but many believe the vampire's soul lives on, I am not sure of this, but know it came with me when I came into this life

good post.. also recently i have been reading and i could differeniate much better between the sangiunus typr of vampire and the psychic vampire... the latter must surely be awakned and you are born like that but i dont have much inoframtion about the former

There is a bunch of stuff on this but it depends on what you believe is true. There are always things that are out of the circle of what is labeled truth and what isn't.

Nicely written, I bet many people learned alot about vampirism. You have a great way with words.

What if these feelings of vampirism people have, is nothing but an imprint of a former life? Some event like that would mar even the strong souls, and would be carried on through other future lives not being able to forget their trespasses and the lure of the blood lust.

I'd like to point out that in the movies, most often anyway, the vampire is already dead so the idea that science has proven it couldn't possibly drink that much blood without vomiting is overshadowed by the fact that it's supposed to be a corpse walking around and trying to drink anything to begin with.

Your closing paragraph is spot on. Curious how you feel about having carried vampirism from one state of consciousness to another -- specifically one lifetime to another. How much can you "recall"? I can do a flashback on at least five different lives. When I was younger, this was extremely disturbing as I would know places and people I never could have known at that age. Now I just play connect-the-dots and see how far back I can take it.

yes the recall of the past life is very intereting.. as I myself have expierenced that since a young age.. i also once read that some psychic vampres are old souls...

Hmmm....what type of vam am i...thats a question i havent been asked before...*thinks*.....I'm a new type of vamp (if that makes sense) i have qualities of the ancient world but i was born into the new age...so i guess theres a mixture in me...i wouldnt call myself pyshic or what have you...I'm just me!

The bit about feeding on emotions deals with a more intricate fabric of text. Perhaps a new thread should be started from what I ppost in here, but since all I post is erased someone else run with it, even though I know none will, still I have to put it out there.

First off there is no emotion in a crowd. It takes a long time to grow into someone who can attract their equal. Then there is the love dance, which ultimately leads to a vampire relationship. Best friends, no ice, then best friends because you love them, and then because they got into your life illegitimately, it is a vampire relationship. We are talking 3 - 5 years down the road when you start to realise why she couldn't give herself to you, or why you couldn't give to her. When you start loving for real and tell your secrets, then, and only then you can feed emotionally off of her.

Vampires know about the slow passage of time, they are powerful and know to find an equal is almost impossible, love is the battlefields where hearts are lost to be won, once you have won them, then it begins, the emotional feeding. But it takes many lifetimes to get there.
