If someone cast an spell to free his or hers own anger and at same time attempt to doing it safe for self and others. Anger and rage is an destructive energy as we all know. If doing it in an ritual there you call on the elements to help you “air, fire, water and earth”. I heard that it also can help to call on the archangels to help you. And that is my question. Do you think the archangels really would help you to get free of destructive energies? I kinda think they more likely would put even more destructive energies in you instead for help you release it. What do you think on this matter?

Why would an archangel put more destructive energy in you? I believe that, while they may not assist you (that is what your spirit guide/guardian angel is for), I sincerely doubt that they would see fit to make things worse.

At most, they may watch to see what happens (like the Gregori), but as far as actually interfering, not so much IMO.

The LBRP is a fairly easy ritual that benefits the user in positive ways. It calls upon Raphael, Gabriel, Michael, and Uriel (the four archangels).

I've never had any negativity with it nor have I heard of anything bad happening when others have performed it.

I also know a few people that do a lot of spirit work and have called upon Michael when dealing with possible possessions.

This is a great subject. Releasing your negativity is the most important thing you can possibly do. If hatred, anger, fear, jealousy, stay within your hurt, they turn into very destructive forces.

Here's the interesting thing about angels: you have ones personally assigned to you! (Well, shadows if you're from the dark, but for all intents and purposes, same thing) You can always call for more, but you have a set of them with you at all times. They're your life guides; spirit energies that help you from beyond the veil throughout your whole life. Everyone has them and no one is excluded. You can ask them to do a great many things; they assist in magic, they can deliver messages, and they can give you advice and wisdom if you know how to listen. They can and certainly will help you release your negative feelings in a positive way. Just make sure to specify! "Careful what you wish" and all that.

Wow. My two cents to this interesting topic. Archangels are created by the catholic church, while, Air, Water, Fire and earth, are from the old religion. You can invoke the goddess and gos to help you, if you are following the Wicca or Witchcraft tradition, or, as you said, archangel if you are a catholic. But, both can not be invoke together to protect you.

Truthfully if you are using any form of ritual magic to call upon or summon any angelic force much less that of the high ranking Archangels I would be wary. The Bible clearly states with Leviticus 19: 26 "You shall not eat anything with the blood; neither shall you use magic, omens, or witchcraft". Archangel Michael especially would be the last to call upon in such a fashion due to the fact he is considered to be the Guardian of the Orthodox Faith and a fighter against heresies, "magic" in any form would be a conflict with established dogma and thus likely to bring his wrath rather then his help.

Fallen, maybe. Archangels, not a chance.

I think I have fallen from grace, would they help me...mmm I very much doubt it.

Deities are just bored brats and I told them so.
This is just an observation, the more intelligent the species the more easily they get bored. Of course I could be wrong but that is a risk I am willing to take.

Thanks for interesting answers. Someone asked me why i asked this question. Well simply because i wanted to hear what others thinked on the subject. I dont do rituals myself because i dont know how to do it ,and i try to learn more to see if that might be something i would like to try.

Just wanted to respond to: "Archangels are created by the catholic church"... not true at all. The Hebrew Bible dates from 13th-5th century BCE, centuries and centuries prior to Christianity. The Catholic Church didn't create the 'Bible'. And the archangels are a part of Judaism and Islam as well as Christianity- the very same archangels.

It's amazing how people often overlook that even Lucifer himself is a Latin name that worked itself into Hebrew contexts before Latin was even a language, according to studies that is, when really Lucifer/Satan was a name given to the fall of the Babylonian King, and Lucifer really refers to Venus (the morning star? ring a bell?)

You'd have more luck calling apon spirits that are around you for assistance than to rely on other figures that may not have existed in the first place.

NR - interesting side note on the morning star. I have heard logical arguments with that stating that the three kings were led to the barn where the baby Jesus slept by Lucifer.

They DID follow the brightest "star" in the sky, which would have been Venus at that time, most likely. And, as you stated, both Lucifer and Venus are oft referred to as the Morning Star.

Just a little bit of trivia that I found interesting - granted, we have no way of knowing whether they did follow any star to Bethlehem, but I was tickled by this claim regardless - it would be a small bit of irony to the Christian religion if the claim were true, after all - proof that Lucifer/Satan may not be evil, just have a difference of opinion from his father.

archangels, elementals, whatever...what your doing is bringing forth the personified elements as set down by the ancient greeks...earth air fire and water (with spirit added).
i think that even if you call them bob, carol , ted, and alice, youd be pretty safe.

Imaginesinwords is right on and I wish more would acknowledge the use of that word not being an individual. I find it an interesting idea but from what I understand of calling on various entities it is better to connect with the one that works the best for your cause and not just anyone at random because you like them.

i believe that your spells work off your energy... if you have negative... it will come out as negative...even if it is intended for good... I do not, however, feel that archangels are here to help people...They have a job and I think that figuring an archangel comes to you everytime you call upon it is kinda far fetched... can you imagine how many people try to call on them... they are not onmipresent... so I find that idea quite impossible.
