okay...just caught up on the odd and unusual news today and found that Arkansas has had a strange event. Although officials are quick to note they do not believe the two are related incidents, it seems too coincidental in reading about it.

5,000 red-winged blackbirds and starlings fell from the sky during the night of New Year's. According to early necropsy reports (not conclusive yet), they died in midair from multiple traumatic blows to vital organs, not from hitting the ground.

The day before, 100,000 drum fish turned up dead in the Arkansas River. No apparent toxins or pollutants and too early to know what killed them all, but it is expected to be some sort of fish disease only affecting drum fish.

Rather unusual I think. What are your thoughts on this? Questions to the article...just google drum fish and blackbirds, you'll have plenty to read about the incidents. Omens, as they are, can be interpretted in different ways...this might signify the end of the age.

As with most media news, I do question the indication as to the birds falling from the sky at night on New Year's...birds don't fly at night unless frightened from their roosts and some conjectured that it was locals firing off fireworks that may have caused it...but 5,000 birds? Two miles worth of dead fish too? What are your thoughts?

I read both articles with intrigued interest, the birds they conjectured might have been stirred from their roost from the fireworks and then possibly were struck by hail or lightning while in flight, the fish they are saying cannot be any toxins or poisons because it only effected the drum fish and none of the others in the river, very bizarre indeed. Am sure it will feed the end of the world frenzy that always seems to happen at the beginning of a new year

Ditto on that one...:)

I can believe any one of those explanations on the birds except one thing...only red-winged blackbirds and starlings were involved...and 5,000 of them on the average. Surely if blackbirds and starlings were stirred up from their roosting from fireworks, then other species of birds would be involved as well. Unless I am uninformed in some way that other birds such as sparrows, finches, and cardinals do not exist in Arkansas as well.

I think that is what makes it so odd...the seeming selection of species in both birds and fish.

Speaking of the end of the world group, anyone else also catch the news on that ex-military chic running around the country in her SUV plastered with the date of May 21st as the Day of Rapture? I found it ironic the media conveniently posted it next to the story on the birds and fish.

I think the smoke from the fireworks may have choked the birds to death, then maybe as they are falling a firework whent off and like TNT in the water, the blast burst the organs. Now the fish, maybe man did that one...or maybe a water parasite.

No that is impossible it is definitely not fireworks.
1. the area was too large
2. the area was fragmented
3. this has never happened with fireworks over London and other major cities(yes they have lots of birds)
4. The timing;
A) little read sources said they are trying out beams to count birds using rays from satellites (true)
B) I don't buy this what a waste of money-far more likely they tried a space ray when they thought nobody would notice.
C) Dead fish nearby...mmm I wonder if they are surface.
fish.
D) HARARP weapons are known to mess up birds and fish.
E) The worlds CORE is known to be shifting* IF IT IS THIS MAN is in real trouble* it could mean holes in our electromagnetic protection from dangerous space radiation. There is no known cure and it could get worse.
Lastly one must remember the government have admitted using the population as guinea pigs for STD infections 40 yrs ago. N that was really really UCKY!
Sleep well.

Caves are rather nice aren't they...stoke the fires up and keep it warm...;) hehe..:P...but yea, AN...great job in pointing out some of the obvious discrepancies there. If fireworks are to blame then why not anywhere else? Why just Arkansas? Why just black birds and starlings and the fish?

I find any report that is quick to say that events are "totally unrelated" when they're not even investigated properly yet...I mean you're talking about a day apart here and the fact that it covered too large an area to be "random." It doesn't even begin to cover my other questions...:P Yuppers....this one has the scent of conspiracy theory all over it...reminds me of watching a film in the 6th grade about the prophecies of Nostradamus regarding the fall of the twin towers in the "New City." Now that was a good long while ago...seems to me prophecies are made to happen to the benefit of those pulling the strings on the publics superstitions.

Many thanks S.Hawk
some very interesting comments on forums around the world. Most point at HAARP and the fact the military are not denying involvement. Some point at the Hadron collider, seems unlikely.This is a typical comment;
An Arkansas Game and Fish Commission spokesman says dead drum fish now cover a 20-mile section of Arkansas River near Ozark. 7 teams from state agency visited affected portion of river Friday.Number of dead is likely in the hundreds of thousands. This is a worldwide event, lets hope it does not get worse and we start dropping like flies (or birds) . Don't believe your leaders who tell you this is the result of fireworks or cold weather, that is LAUGHABLE.
I disagree, cold weather can kill populations of crabs etc. but the fireworks thing is not true.

One of the best comments was how quartz rock, when stressed by seismic activity, gives off millions of Volts (like a lighter) The electric discharge upsets birds. However I would expect to see more earthquakes if that were the case. Only two odd ones to date one in The Uk one in Chile, stand by?

Sorry I am a little sceptical, I think there were natural causes for both the birds deaths and fish. And its all to do with the planets changing weather.

I think as humans we wish to jump quickly to conclusions and have this doomsday fantasy that leads us to look for clues that the end of the world is nigh.

Unfortunately human beings have been running around like chicken little since they started walking upright waving their arms over their heads and crying that the sky is falling. We do it now, only with a little more sophistication lol.

We know the planet is changing, we know that global warming is partly responsible, but the earth has been off axis for centuries and its a known fact that its been working its way to its natural position. Every time the earth shifts weather patterns change, land masses change and it is bound to affect everything on the planet!

We aren't about to see the end of days people well in my humble opinion anyway.

Lolz..:P Keep the numbers to a minimum...yuppers..I hear ya Dabs...BUTTTT....the unusual nature of the event is what grabbed my attention...it's usual forte for the media to be inconsistent on these types of stories, however, numbers tend be large and then suddenly very small in contrast to initial reports? That's not yellow journalism...that's classic cover-up...keep the villagers happy on simple digits...;)

The first thing that came to my mind when I first read this article...and this is the honest me...the military or "someone" is utilizing a new technology from one of how many? satellites circling our globe? Specific species, less than 24 hours apart...hmm..let's blame it on something really lame...like fireworks...what could be simpler for the village idiots to believe?

AN is right on the points he's made regarding worldwide incidents of such nature...the media would rather us believe the Kardashians' shoe collection was donated by aliens than have anyone believe that we or any other entity for that matter owns science-fictional weaponry beyond the acceptable measures that require panels to delegate where the money came from to fund such a product.

I think perhaps the research on Black Holes could be put to better use on the growing hole in my taxpayer's pocket and the deficit since 9-11. Go NASA.

The earth shifted on it's axis last year in the wake of the Chilean earthquake...there were no reports of red-winged black birds and starlings falling out of the sky, dead in mid-air, their organs crushed as a result of that global event felt by no one except those directly involved.

If global warming is to blame for blackbirds and starlings dying in mid air and drum fish turning up dead in a river only 100 miles within the same area as dropping chicken littles...then what else died in that chain reaction of the New Year Day 2011? Why would global warming choose only one area? One species? And how does global warming account for the birds having fatal injuries to their internal organs as though someone gathered them all up and beat them all with socks fills with soap bars?

Global warming causes species to die out due to weather changes. Unless weather is now fatal to your physical being and Jack Frost will really get out there and nip your nose off..then let us all beware, 'cause it's fixing to get nasty...;)

As expected, a solar wind stream hit Earth's magnetic field during the early hours of Jan. 7th. The impact sparked a G1-class (Kp=5) geomagnetic storm and bright auroras around the Arctic Circle. "It was just amazing," says Kjetil Skogli, who sends this picture from Tromsø, Norway:
"The display began with a faint band in the north and quickly developed into several spectacular waves with extreme high speed rays," he says.
The lights were so intense, they could be seen as far away as Northern Ireland. "The glow was faint, but definitely there," reports Martin McKenna of Maghera, Co. Derry.
High latitude sky watchers should remain alert for auroras as the solar wind continues to blow.

CountWallaby, just that is the way our Government hide the truth from their citizens, by using a easy conclusion and closing the case. As my opinion about the case, Who really know what happen. There are many open doors to mysterious phenomenon that are happening everyday. This one hit the news because the amount of Fish and Birds that die were enormous. When birds fly in a windy day, sometimes they run out of air, ( a possibility). About the fish, no Idea.

is it possible that magnetic changes can be behind this?
Mayhaps the hard thing that the birds had been hit by was..... dun dundun... the ground. A magnetic shift affecting the brain (of anything really...) could disorient it, causing it to either slam into the ground, or forget which part of the water is deeper and find itself drowning on air.
Mayhaps it would not have affected all species of everything, just the ones whose brains functioned on the same frequency?

ah..but that was what I thought at first, but early necropsy on the birds stated that the crushed organs were not from impacting the ground...but the cause of death...their vital organs being crushed...happened while the birds were in midair...thus far is the "early" discovery as examined on several of the birds sent to labs.

I guess we'll have to keep tabs and see if they report anything further on it...;)

Scientists are currently holding the position that mass die-offs of species is "normal." However...I find the explanations for such deaths...aka "fireworks" as being a plausible explanation for such mass deaths. If indeed fireworks were attributable and directly connected to such events, then accordingly, one would think animal rights activists would be on their tip-toes shouting from the roof tops to ban fireworks.

Here's an updated article from the Daily Mail in the UK on the bird/fish deaths here and regarding other mass animal deaths elsewhere around the globe that AN was so kind to point out earlier in the thread.

i read that if you check records, there have been die offs almost every year...that includes birds and fish, and in some cases other wildlife.

if the winter is more severe, then the die offs include larger numbers.

astronomy is suggesting that there has been a solar system wide heat up, but currently there appears to be a cooling trend. if we are on the cusp of a new ice age, then we will see far more of these die offs.

Or is it that birds require more Oxygen when exerting themselves.
Oxygen which is now Carbon dioxide.
The Air we beathe now has 40% more carbon dioxide than the Air your Grand parents breathed.
This is partly why respiratory illness is increasing.

Either way, they are no longer blaming fire works.

John Magrath of Oxfam said that it should be no surprise that more people in the coming years will be affected by floods and other natural disasters, and not just because in a globally warmer world we are likely to experience more extreme weather.

"We're seeing more people affected because there are just more people and they tend to be more crowded together in unstable places," Mr Magrath said.

"We're seeing more extreme weather and it doesn't take much for that trend to become truly extreme and to cause disasters rather then just disruption," he said.

2.2m People killed by natural disasters since 1975

It is a known fact that the earth changes the poles every so often, ok so it is not once a life time, but it does happen, it is what makes carbon dating possible.

As for being on the cusp of a new ice age, technically we are still coming out of the 'origional' ice age, hence the polar ice caps melting. It is all a natural process with the earth, and the earth follows cycles.

With the birds, it could be that they became confused with the natural shift with the polar north, and that dissoriantated them, and caused their deaths, as for the fish, I am unsure.

But if it is the appocolypose on the way, I would love to meet the omega child who triggerd it

lolz...good one Justin and thanks for stopping by the thread...;)

Thus far, I've not seen any new developments in the necropsy reports regarding the blackbirds and starlings over Arkansas...no one has explained with satisfaction why the birds fell out of the sky with all their internal organs burst and damaged as though beaten to death in mid-air...oh yea, no obvious damage to the outside of their little feathered bodies...unusual for even a fireworks as cause of death explanation...don't know about any of you, but I've had a few Blackcats blow up in my hand or close to them before...it's usually not too pretty...I can only imagine what actual shells would do to an avian body.

The fish deaths are claimed to be caused by a mysterious fish disease..still unidentified and therefore only a preliminary explanation regarding such a massive death toll spanning 20+ miles of river.

That's the thing that bugs me. It's not a precursor for the "end of the world"...whether "don't ask or don't tell" is in effect or not...but questions arise in the back of my mind regarding unknown, unadvertised satellite weaponry...perhaps a science-fiction style death ray gun set to kill only specific genetic species. Hell, why not? They're cloning the mammoth now...next you know, we'll be replaying Jurassic Park for worst-case scenario.

I'm betting on the dinos...;)

I don't know that they mean anything, but since we are talking omens, and what these things MIGHT mean if they were indeed omens..

..birds are regularly symbolized as being free because they have the power of flight. They also are often depicted in groups (flocks)..as are the birds in this particular instance.

So based on the fact that they fell from the air..I'm going to go with this interpretation for the birds..

"A group having it's rights stripped from it through the sudden onslaught of internal conflict and discord that ultimately leads to it's destruction."

As to the fish..if they ARE connected (as omen) would be significant in adding this to my interpretation..

"They will not be able to flee this fate, not by the sea nor the air will they be safe from it."

That's my rather amateurish attempt at an "omen" interpret though..hope it helps!

my interpretation of the birds is not only freedom because of flight but the sounds they make could mean music

as for the fish it could be feminine because water is feminemine Ack cant spell anyways so maybe death of mother earth again i dont know

The attached link will reveal how animals have emotion...would you believe the EMo penguins are mourning their dead chicks?

That aside the photography is awesome.

Great Thread SilverHawk !

Upon hearing that on the news, the first thing that came to mind was Haarp, especially being I had just watched the rerun of the Jesse Ventura Show

It does seem pretty strange though... Just as it has rained frogs and fish, now this.. all very strange occurances.

what ever happened to birds and fish may be death vacuum grown and pulled them, will not affect the human. Coz human is already causing pollutiuon and living in the pollution can survive the things. core is not shifting at all.

The meaning of shifting of core means the huge speed of the earth around it would crash the crust and plates and would turn into particles and would changed its form and earths speed rolling around sun in the orbit would lead this dust would skip into outer orbit of the sun alongwith few magma and lava would create layer around earth just like we see saturn, this means shift of core will drop the mass.

Human end can possible only from astroid or solar accidents, or movements in the gallaxy, or human may destroy himself.

But if human once got the habit of staying in space, he can not be destroyed wholly. thats what we are searching ancient hints of human going in to space.

sorry its outer orbit of earth (and not the outer orbit of the sun) these particle in future would gather and would cause one moon with very thin core.

Mystic, Great video about HAARP well worth watching.
The fact the inventor was looking to move the jet stream seems like a massive coincidence ?
The jet stream usually directs weather over the the North of the Uk but was sitting over Egypt after some strange moves.
The press link below is probably a cover-up and not a very good one.

Mystic, thank you for the contribution...exactly the sort of thing I was referencing. If people think the government doesn't do such things, think again. Seen the news over democratic Egypt? All communications shut down...hmm..wonder what chaos would erupt in this country is everyone lost out on their text-messaging? It would be known as the Dawn of Rabid Teenagers..:P...or our VR? ...egads..the thought of it..:(

Venomstrings, thank you for making a very good point on shifts of the core. However, Einstein proposed it possible the outer layers of the Earth can shift, like a loose skin on an orange, thus allowing for massive and sudden international continental drift. What was in reference along the thread however regarding the Chilean earthquake was the shifting of the axis...not the core....may Heaven forbid the core ever shifts..:(

AN...great link...thanks also...:) It is also little known that the jet stream has been used in the past as a weapon against our own country. These ideas are nothing new, they've been used many times.

Yes, Egypt implodes as they remove the Alien relics, or so I am told.
Coincidence, probably not and just to keep the other faiths in the picture in seems something stirs in Holy Land.

Any more developments on the dead-bird-fish thing?
my current hypothesis is that things die pretty often in mass numbers, but we only realize it when they're strewn over our lawns.

Well its mysteries they are solving with hypothecation...

Even on baramuda triangle air field creates very thin natural wormhole which the saved aeroplane pilots explained is real subject to wonder. this one can study that wormhole can be made by human too, this will lead their future space shuttle or aeroplanes may fly at quantum speed (hyper speed) coz over baramuda they flew 300 km or 3000 km within 3 minutes...

I think this picture is a little odd and all too frequent.
You will note the data about the CO2 released by the failing lungs of the world.
The CO2 we all breathe continues to climb at an alarming rate.

there are to many factors involved in my opinion for the the two incidents to not be related. Being I have been in the military 20 plus years I would of course analyze this and come to the conclusion that more than likely it is an expierement gone bad or maybe good it depends on what it was intended to do. Of course we will probably never know the entire real and true story because there are things like these two incidents that happen everyday all over the world but it is swept under the rug by officials. Defiently will want to follow this one, I'm very curieous to see how it is going to be handled.

i agree with Mistress Kathy...experiments go on all the time that we are not aware of by the government. it does beg the question though, perhaps that in and of itself is an omen of things to come
However, i do believe in omens, supernatural, not manmade....i am not sure which i believe in this case
but a great debate none the less

Yeah, when I first heard about the incidents with the birds it kinda shocked me I mean there has been alot of craziness going on we had tsunami that hit overseas some couple of years back, Australia got flooded bad, Hurricane Katrina, lol then we got movies with things trying to destroy the planet whats the world coming to right.

Funny thing is what if nothing happens in 2012, we could all grow tails or something off the wall could happen or nothing at all. Guess were just going to have to see. I'll bring the popcorn and candy.

2012: nothing is going to happen than expected sunflares (India is sending the satellite to study this) Sunflares are not new to world and surely will not harm the planets...

I think only birth of new planet only can bring destruction to planets to the range of jupitor or saturn coz the magma will be thrown by the sun to that extent.

if this magma reaches earth's surface, will create disaster to the earths atmosphere.

already 4 inch dust is falling from space every 10 years.

I seem to remember the closest point the moon has ever been in my mind...I was 8-9 years old and it was so freaking huge, it looked like one of those sci-fi pics where it might just be sitting there in your back yard...how picturesque..@_@

There were not earthquakes I recall at the time but I was definitely seeing a scene pass through my young brain from Planet of the Apes...o.O

But no...it's not over yet folks...Chernobyl #2 is an impending possibility...o.O oh...did anyone catch the Destination Truth into that nuclear wasteland in Russia...o.o spooky...

yet again...though ...even the fish on the West Coast...still...major die-offs of a particular species...thing is...if it's attributed to poisons or fireworks..please...then why not several other species along with the others? Mass Die-Offs "normal"...o.O otay..that must explain the instances of the Black Death over the centuries of mass human bucket lists.

Sliver Hawk, whats with the cats and dogs? I suppose it has been raining them recently, some problem with the jetstream.
Indeed these storms have been coming thick and fast but thats just La Nina or his mates El' 'Ninas.
I hear Sea warming and cooling is due to halt in June so they will have to think up a new excuse...one thins for certain the God fearing Middle East won't mention oil or population they would rather bang on about the infadels which could soon be academic.
