I've Currently Been A Vampyre For Almost 8 Years Now, But I Also Have The Gift Of having A "2nd" Person Within Me...Who Else Has This Same Kind Of Thing And How Do You Think It Helps/Hinders Your Abilites And Life-Styles?
i do and i have issues of when my teeth get sharp and i want to bite
I have multiple personality ...at least 3 I know...but was told got 2 others. I deal with it by meditating and relaxing
I'm known for having a few different personalities...Just one above all the others in particular. Only one person has ever realised this certain side. In my case it is a major help
My friend, this second person as you stated may be a spirit guide of some type. Have you thought of this before?
Or may be a spirit that was sent to you as a protector.
Yea, I Find It To Be A Problem Every Now And Then But Over All Its Pretty Decent
Yea, She Is More Of A Protector....She Helps To Calm My Temper And Kind Of Act Rationally
Hm yes, it has been a huge problem in the past, it's resisting the urge of what that side wants you to do is the problem, some people probably see it as an excuse for bad behavour etc, mine has it's own name :P
i had a friend who was acting as one person then acting like a second person she started doing it when we were 13 made up storys to tell people about how she drunk blood and loved the liffe of a vampire which i think is perfectily fine then she had a christian motife and would say people who acted like her needed to be sent away and one day she was dressed up in goth and was acting like a fool and i mean a fool and ran into her pastor of the church it total bite her in the but
Lol, Her Name Is Trinity....While I Seem To Be A Prick She Is The COMPLETE Opposite Of Me
lol, my name is Rachel-Katherine, double barrell, my man calls me Rachel, & her Katherine, he knows the difference straight away
I think to some extent we all have a split personality, everyone has there own good and bad qualities, or sides, whichever you want to call it.
Ya everyone has different sides/personalities that come out in different situations, some peoples other sides are alot stronger than others
I Thank You All For Putting Your INsight In, It Helps To Know That People Understand.
I am not a vampire, but I have found that I do have somewhat of a split personality. But I think that everyone can develope one if they are not careful. They can split themselves in two, which is what I did.
Well in the Otherkin community they call this phenomenon "aspected" meaning you are more than one thing. Many groups consider Vampyre to fall under the umbrella of Otherkin.
Also there is something called Nosselinfea which is a person that has multiple souls indwelling and can be in many forms. Most of them get diagnosed DID but they believe they have many souls indwelling in one body and they can be of a variety. It means House of Many Souls. This name is being also used for other things but like any other body whether diagnosed DID (Disassociative Identity Disorder) or not they believe there is a leader of sorts...primary original soul because in some cases they have walk-ins. I can't say I fully understand it but you will find it on good Otherkin sites. Look for Aspected Otherkin.
I'm not sure about multiple personalities, but I do know you can suffer from extreme mood swings that make you think differently than you "normally" would. Also, predators have a "mode" if you will, that they go into which could easily be interpreted as another personality.
In a Matter of factly way, In several of our occultish studies', we have found that evocation of anothers' soul/personality from a desprite situation has formade the presence of another within the self...
AT first, the discovery of this soul, or presence is slightly shocking, takeing on absolute certain trait's in a set timeline, And paticuler shocking to people around them as they tend to display absolute 180 degree moodswings and is easily mistook as a personality disorder, Which that all in all is an entirley diffrent matter.
I have dealt with this twice before in my life, and in more then most way's, 2 people in one fascinate's me entirley.
Now, alot of people suffering from depresshion and a variety of other Axis disorder's can make up the symptoms, and show them to people, however common this is, it is the person trying to convince themselves of another reality and/or not wanting to take blame for a paticuler situation..
However it is rare to find them, and any PSY/Sang can tell the diffrence almost immediatley if trained on how to "feel" the others soul/self entity. Im in the process of researching this, so my apologies to the vaugeness of this post.
That is true, like I said in one of my posts above, some people think it's an excuse for bad behavour
I most defenitely think that in most cases it is just good and bad sides just as everyone has, at least that I've ever encountered.
i know someone with a split personality as well as i myself having one. My other is Malaki. and he is the exact opposite of me and is sadistic and manipulative. ir he tries to be. my friends however is one of the closest friends to me and i love her for her openess and caring even if she can be a little hard headed to me and even the other person the shares a body with. i also believe that she was given to him as someone to love and that my own personality was accidently created.
My other half is much like me. He goes by the name Cole. While I am a easy going person, he is serious and always ready to fight if the occasion arises. My eyes also turn a darker blue than what they already are. I only know of 2 times that he has taken over use of me completely.
well I suppose even a vampire can have types of mental disorders just like anyone else it is just a matter of how they deal with it that counts
I feel the pull of having like two different people in me. But Ive worked on trying to be in the I guess you could call it "grey area" of the two. Where I have them both and arent holding onto one more then the other.
Mine goes by the name Malaki. and he is pretty much everything i try not to be. he has a deep loathing for my friend and i guess that's his problem. but i guess when i say i accidently created him, i mean he is all of the most negative things about me brought into one being with the exception of two things. He can't manipulate anybody for shit and he likes to think he is high and mighty until my friend knocks him off his high horse
I have a friend who is a split. It is easy to see the difference
I have a split personality. It affects my everyday. But as far as my vampire life, it does not hurt or help in anyway.
I personally find that having split personalities is not a a mental disorder but rather.. well depends on the personality, the 10 year old is really annoying to have but some of the other ones aren't so bad, unless i'm the on in control and they are debating or arguing at the edge of my consciousness... I think having them and their benifits or repriments are dependendant on the situation and how well one can control them.
I´ve got a second self too.
It is said that everybody has one, but it is not active for everybody. For me it´s a whole new person sharing my body with myself. Very useful in many ways. The point is that you must never let the second self be more than the original you.
i never looked at myself as havving another being or personality in me but anything is plausable..i just take it as a different attitude(feeling) of the personality i was givven and i tend to just go with the desires/urges of that moment..
I have at least one other personality, named Bree, who is a complete trouble maker and bitch. When she decides to play, it usually gets me into trouble. I've learned to control her. I also believe I have another much more reserved personality, but I can't be sure that she is totally aware of the fact that she is a personality and not a person in a body of her own.
I actually did a research project for one of my psych classes on MPD...it's really very interesting. *smiles*
I don't think that everyone has two different personalities in them, as has been purported here.
I am just me. Occasionaly, I am nice and occasionally, I am not. That doesn't seperate into two personalities or two people for me, that blends into one person; me.
I understand that some of the posters here do have two distinctly different people residing in their bodies, or feel they do. (I refrain from making any diagnostic statements as I'm first and foremost not a doctor and secondly, haven't been treating any of you as such for an extended period of time.) That works for others, but it doesn't work for me and I felt I should give my opinion since there were some rather large generalizations made on this topic!
I also tend to fight with the pagan beliefs I have as a Wiccan. I don't know whether it's a split personality or just something I have to deal with personally.
I think I have at least three personalties but one is dominant.
The other two show up during emotional strife or euphoria.
I would say I am jsut me but there are times that I wonder because of how I do things. Its like 1 will help keep my temper under control 2 helps me to be able to protect when harm is about to happen 3 one helps me to forsee death and couples to come together. Only thing I have trouble with is when it comes to me personally I dont see it.
i have. he's a smart one, and is very helpful. i'm not sure if he is an entity that shares my body, or whether i simply created him - doesn't really make any difference - we are friends and help each other. if something works - dont fix it.
I don't have a split personality, all of me is part of who i am but depending on what mood you catch me in i can seem to be a totally different person!
guess i have a different person too, if you call being normal persay one minute and with the blink of an eye, be someone totally different..and when that happens my bestest friend calls me and helps ground the best..
If you're speaking of the good vs. evil personality... I think all people have that inside themselves. It's a question of morality.
The ego, superego, and the ID if you would like to call it. Which is three personalities lol. This does not mean that someone has a split personality.
I delve a little further on the matter and found this interesting website which had an article on "split personalities" and found this:
Let us understand the term “Split Personality”.
Definition of Split Personality: “A relatively rare dissociative disorder in which the usual integrity of the personality breaks down and two or more independent personalities emerge”.
Explanation: There is no category or phenomenon in psychiatry called split personality. The term is commonly used in popular language to indicate a contradictory or drastically and dramatically alternating type of behavior of the"Jekyll and Hyde" type. It is often confused with the medical illness of schizophrenia because the etymology of the latter (from the Greek schizein, to split + phren, mind) suggests, misleadingly, that schizophrenia is a type of split personality. In schizophrenia, however, the splitting is within one single personality as the individual's thoughts, feelings and emotions are seriously and confusingly disconnected from each other in a chaotic and random fashion. Schizophrenic individuals, far from having split or multiple personalities, actually have a great struggle maintaining the coherence and integrity of even a single self.
Hope this helps to shed some more light...
I don't have a split personality and I'm not a vampire. I guess that in the case if it helps or hinders your vampire life it would depend on if the second personality is stable or not.
