i have a real intrest in them and this may sound really stupid and childish but i am only a child.

I belive in vampires but i have always wondered things about them.

In books and movies they are almost always protrayed as evil, vile, creatures that walk the earth and drink peoples blood.

Or they are portrayed in the book twilight they can live with humans, live in the day, they are all unhumanly beautiful, and immortal.

I just want an idea of what they truly are, are they just a myth? Are they real as i think?

They're very real, though It's a garuntee you will get many many repsonses for both sides of that coin. The only way to truely believe vampires are real is to personally know one or to be one. There are a few who have neither and still believe but it's far and few between.

There are many texts on true vampires out there. But becareful, not all vampires are the same, like humans there are different 'races' of vampires, differnt types that produce different steryotypes and myths. I'm not sure how much is wise for me to put here so if you'd like my opinions and knowledge on vampires please feel free to message me personally.

Vampires I believe are very real. As real as you and I, although they don't make themselves known as much as maybe you and I. I have heard from vampires that they are immortal and some say they aren't. I've heard some have fangs and some don't. I've heard they can turn a human and some can't. There is so much information on the web, in books, documentaries and such it's hard to know what the truth really is. They are right in the fact that to know the full truth is meet one in person or to be one and that is few and far between, since they are very secretive creatures. You would only know one if they want you to know. This is a very good site to start though.

I believe that vampires are real. But I don't believe that they're immortal.

We are real, but not immortal. I like to think that I am unaturally beautiful but I think that I was just lucky. Yay for me.

yes I believe that vampires do exist, but the immortalness of one leaves much to be desired on account of the scientific impossibility of the vampire unlife...I do believe that there are people that drink blood, I am skeptical about the "immortal being" stories.

Aside from the book type of immortality many apply that meaning the soul following a pattern from one life to the next as a vampire...immortality of the vampire type of soul. We don't know if that is true. People have a lot of beliefs that are based on only that.

i'd like to think that if they are real, they are how they are described in the book rather than in films. if u ever watch the film night watch, it has an interesting view on the supernatural world.

I believe that vampires are real and do exist but the hollywood picture of vampires is debatable.

I think we get a bad rap from books and movies sometimes, but the whole blood thing people have a problem with they assume we are "evil" because of it at least that is my belife

I think the whole evil wrap might be heightened by those who choose a 'vampiric' lifestyle for the dark 'evilness' of it or the real vamps who find it amusing and great fun to either be evil or make people afraid.

Just a side thing on believing in things being real.. ever notice how people say your imagination isn't real? well your imagination is, the things you imagine typically aren't.

In books- the portrayal of the vampire is up the the author... they can be evil or sympathetic characters you can relate to.

I suggest you read up on the modern vampire and not blur any lines with reality and fiction... are they as real as you think they are? It depends on what you are thinking ;) If you are thinking along the lines of Hollywood- I would have to say NO.

I would not be so quick to say you are in the right place to learn about this... just among people with similar interests. Be careful in who you choose to 'follow' or believe.

to myself, we are real..may not be imortal but real none the same..howelse can one explain things? myself was always a loner, different , one night almost 7 yrs ago i read a site about vampires and it explained all about what the feelings were i had..so yeah i believe and a late bloomer at that..my thought on this

i belive in them and i belive that sence thay live for a long time longer than any human in fact, that ppl think that thay are immortal but thay are not all evil like humans some are evil and some are good.

Unfortunately we're not immortal... that would be perfect, but about the blood thirst, some of us like blood, others prefer the energy...

I understand the belief in vampires, lychan, and otherkin much like I understand Wicca. I know many people who believe it to be real. But once again, it is simply another paradigm like Wicca or Atheism that some choose to believe and some simply do not.

Often with the vampire question you get the equivalent of "spiritual, but not religious." That would be, "Yes, but not immortal." Or, "Yes, but not with powers. Just pretty and dark-natured."

You can see how it would take a long time to sort out where the real, meaty paradigm is at!

Vampires do exist, but the Hollywood version is nothing more than popular fiction designed to sell movie tickets.

They exist but alot are psy vamps. Blood is just sensual and high in energy. Hollywood's really messed up their image. But they do that with everyone such as witches...oh yah we all ride broomsticks and sacrifice animals/children. Come on! The only way vampires are immortal is the stories last forever.

Vampyres are very much real. myths and lores have changed vampyres to fit there own need.

I don't know for a fact that vampires exist, but I have a very open mind. I believe in the possibility that vampires exist. I really hope they do though.

Vampires are real, but what a vampire actually is, is open to debate. There are those who would say that drinking blood or draining energy make someone a real vampire, and others would say that anyone could be a vampire they only have to display certain characteristics.

Yes I'm a vampire.
We are not Immortal but we do live longer or just we have a better immune system.
There are many species of us.

i have just recently been blooded so there is not much i can tell you because i have so much to learn but i can tell you that vampires are real but there are just as many kinds of vampires just as there are many kinds of humans some of us can coexist with humans some of us could never be seen by others some live in day light and some can only come out at night there are also what i like to call stokers vamp they try to live there live as close to the old count drakula movies and often live aloan and do not belong to covens if you wish to know more you should go to St lousie it is the vampire capital of the us and maybe the world as far as publicly speeking in europe it maybe hard to finde vampires that will tell you about there life for most covens have strick rules about what you tell the out side world

It is my understanding, like so many who have already testified their beliefs, that vampires do exist. There are several individuals of Vampire Rave that are a just example to this.

I would hope most people here would realize that this kind of forum talk is not the "best" way to learn about vampires, however it is a good way to learn about what other people think of them *shrugs* I do believe in them, but the Hollywood version seems incredibly false. I think vampires come in all shapes and sizes, just like humans do.

A vampire is nothing like you herd of put it that way. We prefur night (atleast I do) but are able to wlak in day light. Every story your peers have told you either to scare you or just for fun is nothing like we really are. The movies just make it worse. We are humans with the need to feed either off of blood or life energy or in my case both. Not all of us are evil. Vampires are not a stareotype

well...i believe that wat they say in the movies and stories are bull but people can definintly have the traits of a vampire...like myself...

Unfortunately, the idea of actual vampires makes me want to blast a bullet inbetween my eyes. There's so much evidence that they are not real that the mere imaginative thought pisses me off anymore. I wish I could believe in them as many others do. Aside this, though, I do believe in vampiric lifestyles, but I still think the facts behind this are more corrupt than we wish to perceive. Afterall, I practice bloodletting on a regular basis...but I do not consider myself a vampire. I guess it's all personal opinion.

Yes certainly , spiritual , figurative , and literal . One can find many forms of vampirism . One figurative example, tax collectors IRS ...Money agencies of all forms are vampires , and will attempt to suck the life out of you . lol

Leeambre if the idea of real vampires bothers you that much why are you on a vampire website? also bloodletting is not the same thing as vampirism. The only corruption in the information on actual living vampires is that some people cant seem to tell the difference between real life and fiction and or myth.

Expand the areas in which you find your movies and books. There are many different depictions of vampires if you look deeper than in the few places you have looked already.

The movies show so many differnet superstions about vampire. I believe no vampire is the same, just as everyone else on the earth. Until I actually meet a vampire in real life, it's hard to elieve in them. I love blood but don't need it and don't consider myself a vampire.

Yes, vampire are very real. but the vampires that are not real are the cross shreaking type vampires. I can see light, I am enrolled in a catholic school and crosses don't bother me. Not every vampire is cunning and good looking, though I'd personally like to believe they are ^.^

Yes I believe that vampires and vampyres are real beings. The thing that is VERY skeptical in my mind is the immortal being crap... Don't know if that actually exists. It is very doubtful in my mind, but who knows? There are many things in this world that have been considered unexplainable phenomenon and I'm sure that could be one of them.

Imo, with all the information there is to support the existance of Vampires, who'd be the one to say they didn't exist? Well, both, I don't know that I personally believe in immortality, everything deteriorates, but you look at writings, and text throughout all of history, Vampires have been shrouded in mystery forever it seems.. I was just trying to say that if they've been spoken of for so long, surely theres some fact to all of it, no offense intended if any was taken

twilight is pretty much the best book ever to be writen alnog with new moon and the newest one to come out!

That's a good question though..I'm not sure how to answer..but i'll come look back here again so I can learn myself.
