I happen to really like Ancient aliens on History channel.
I know there are those of you,beside myself that feel the evidence is extremely compelling and believe we have had visits from other planets.A program about this has been a long time coming.
For a long time now I have,as have others here Im sure felt that The Gods of different cultures where different stories about the same entities.They happen to mention this on the program last night.
And I have often wondered about the Vampire's possible role in this as well.There are so many scenarios ...we have often posted about the Nephilim and their connection ...
Anyone want to post more about it? It has been 30 days! lol.

Don't have a really meaningful response, Oceanne so please forgive me. But the one thing that I recently heard that just had me in stiches was "The fact that we haven't been visited by intelligent life is proof it exists."

The best book I have found on the subject has to be, for me at least, Graham Hancock's "Fingerprints of the Gods"

I, too, watched a few of the "Ancient Aliens" episodes and was not very impressed with the evidences provided, frankly. I ended up talking back at the TV in frustration at the usage of either already-discredited "evidences" or the illogical conlcusions reached based on highly suspect additional evidences offered. What was most frustrating was the fact that they could have truly used far more compelling evidences for the program but, instead, chose to focus on truly ridiculous and sensationalistic scenarios that only glorified the wacko-fringe elements in the extra-terrestrial community and ignored the far-greater evidences out there, such as the evidences found in Graham Hancock's book, for example.

LOL Upir,I feel the same way about some of it and find myself saying a few things here and there..but with anything,you have to weed through what is said or shown,couple that with previous or newfound knowledge of your own,and it falls together ok.This last episode was the one that caught my interest because of how I feel about stories of the Gods and even folklore about creatures of old and their possible connection to genetic manipulation..

There are very compelling arguments out there that aliens have visited earth in the past and influenced our rise through history. The idea was brought up that aliens were the gods of legend. That is why so many of the ancient gods seem to be the same just different names in different cultures. The same idea can be brought up using the example of children playing telephone. As the story goes on person to person it gets changed ever so slightly each time. Historians believe this is the reason why certain myths appear in different cultures over and over. The story of the biblical flood is a good example. It appears in most cultures however the people, places and reasons change.

Totally agree with Upir and Oceanne on this one...documentary is strangely warped, as are many other pseudo investigations.
One might almost think it were deliberate.
Here is an interesting trick, try to find out who funded and payed for various films and documentaries into aliens and the occult. For instance I was amazed Vendetta ever got made, or that the BBC took on roswell....try and get a copy though...
Sometimes one finds it is independent but more often than not religious groups, sometimes it is government backed.Some well known actors have been approached by men in dark glasses asking for a favour, for the greater good of course. Who is their leader? at a guess the same entities who have half the worlds money hidden in nameless accounts in the Caymen Islands.

But to me my thinking is in this way:

At the time of Pralay (destruction of the world), the best of best species will be carried and saved from this destruction to another life chain. this is the theme of the religions and epics. thus this means our race is wanderer in the Universe and whereever the planet or star's solar system about to destroyed due to death nova and supernova, before that best of us will be rescued.

This is logical if there more advanced civilizations exist to rescue us and having watch on us.

Even our space science is aheading in that line. may we fly out of our solar system after few centuries.

i dont know of anything in my study of history that could not have originated right here on earth....


but its quite possible that it happened. im not one for ever ruling out possibilities.

I would really love to post in this thread, but don't really know where to begin, other then that we have already had first contact in 1952 when Eisenhower was in office.

As well as have serious information regarding what Dan Brown was alluding to in his newer book: The Lost Symbol.

But where to begin? Starmaps that are here on Earth in the form of certain locations throughout the world, landing points of the same, conspiracy regarding the Pyramids in Egypt as well as several other locations? The extra-terrestial vs inner-Earth, Project Blue Beam (name has since been changed)?

Its all well and good until some or most of these conspiracy theories start to turn into fact within the next two years.

All God's are not one god.

Yes I do think there are things bigger then us out there, and even things on other planets... BUT!!!! Like I said I don't believe all gods are one god... DO I think each one has something similar to the other yes, but I don't think there all the same.

Why does every story have to be recycled? All the evidence seems to indicate that there are planets that might support life akin to our own, but they are not replicas of earth. A little higher or lower temperature, a shorter day, a longer season, more salt, less oil, a different oxygen balance - all of this is going to lend itself to a different evolutionary pattern, new learning, and hopefully, please, eternally hopeful, different thoughts, myths, beliefs.

Why do all our myths have to be devolved from some other species that may be human-like, but is probably not exactly like us?

I want something brand new.

Use to enjoy watching those types of shows. They're full of interesting stuff and plenty of history. Now they all seem to always end in the same way, 'but we can never know for sure' bullshit. The shows today never give credit to determined people but give full credit to aliens. I mean come on folks. Mind explaining why aliens helped us stack a bunch of rocks on top of each other? Come all that way to be construction workers? Or roll around in the wheat fields drawing circles? God knows how great your flying space-ships are, to fly galaxies and come here to only fall out of the air by themselves. But they gave us the chance to reverse engineer them, didn't they? And what did we get from them? Oh yeah, another way to blow gas from a hole.

None of this alien stuff makes any sense what so ever. People should really think about what is being said in these shows. And realize that at one time, people had faith in themselves and determined to do anything that needed to be done. And it got done. As amazing as it was. We don't need aliens to explain human determination.

Now THAT, dear ~Billy~ was a most excellent answer. Even if there are certain alien races out there, and I am not saying there are not. But if there are. More power to them.

As ~Billy~ has pointed out, all it takes is hard work and determination from one small culture to make themselves more advanced then the next. Just take a look at Japan for example. Their children go to school 6 days a week, and are the hardest learning culture I have ever seen. Then we have America. half of the Nation has become spoiled with cell phones, cable, video games, and other smaller things. Granted that Japan has all these things as well. But they have invented electronic devices that we could have only dreamt about in the past.

Aliens could be more advanced then us, or less advanced. We don't know. Would we accept their help if they offered? We might. But in the end, most of us would really only want the help if we couldn't figure out part of a schematic or the next stage of a scenerio. A little hint every so often. We as a world society have become either partially or totally jaded that we have come to evolve mentally into a race (human) that has started to depend on others instead of having the confidence to do it ourselves.

Actually I only believe that we were visited by heavenly beings, and it's very probable that they left us some sort of evidence along the way...

I have read a book called The Signature of God by Grant R. Jeffrey and it has some good stuff about many things related to that subject...

I really do like Ancient Aliens. Sure, alot of this is speculation but it is interesting the way people connect things from the bible to aliens as well.

Of course, it seems not to matter that there are thoussands of pictures and videos and accounts of UFO's every year - if you are a nonbeliever - it isn't going to matter if ET lands in your yard and shakes your hand - you are going to think it's fake anyway.

I definately believe in UFO's because there is too much proof they are out there. And seriously - with as big as just our universe is, you can't tell me you think this is the only planet with intelligent life. Definately possible they have been here longer than us, have better technology and have visited this little ant farm of a planet to see what we are doing and if we have destroyed ourselves yet.

What Billy said!!!! Humans are the wacky creatures who built monuments to an afterlife, who artistically inscribed rocks and plains. And if they could record their stories of Osiris and Isis and Horus, why not set down the cryptography re. ancient aliens? It's all a retelling of the same story - birth, death and resurrection. Why leave it to speculation?

Fingerprints of the Gods goes over the laid down cryptology of ancient aliens found in archeological findings not otherwise reported...ancient man chiseled out so much more than mythology about Osiris and Isis...it's not as far-fetched as it sounds...as for why?...why not? All one has to do is look at the shelves in a grocery store and read a label...we're all a genetically-altered species at one level or another and just like guinea pigs in a cage, our bodies are infused with all sorts of additives, preservatives...bacteria, poisons, all in the name of Progress...so the next pharmaceutical company can make a bajillion dollars off of your next chemical treatment that may make you worse off than if you had continued consuming their MSG's and High Fructose Corn Syrup to begin with.

Powers that be or not, there is archeological, literary and other evidences that support the foundation for alien or other-worldly genetic enhancements that thus far, based on basic science regarding dominant genes, should have been bred out long ago...but instead are continuing in prevalence with every new finding both in the genetic fields and in the archeological evidence of ancient peoples.

Well you just cant trust them Aliens, here is why?
Firstly, The nature of all life is to dominate, conquor, expand and why should they be different ?
If they have seeded us and manipulate, then it is order we build and terraform planet earth .Thus we construct their planet. Then when the time comes they harvest the fruits of their plans.
Personally, I hope they remove many of the starbucks taco bells and awful fast food joints.
Secondly, a real life example~Chinese firm (aliens)helped build a 3G new network in the UK which is now being hacked. Investigations prove the code required to hack could only have come from the original Chinese contractors. Moral of the story, Aliens have their own culture, their own agenda.

There is so much of the universe that we have yet to explore, so many places that we have left to discover... we have yet to make it to every planet in our own solar system- what's to say there isn't a planet similar to ours in some distant galaxy, yearning to expand their research as we do? What if there's some teenage girl sitting in a house similar to mine, typing sentences similar to mine in response to a thread on some site similar to this one? There's no one with solid evidence there isn't, so there must be.

If we're innocent 'til proven guilty, distant life should exist until proven nonexistent.
