The date and acts for the next Dracula's Ball in Philadelphia, PA have been announced. The event will be held on September 5, 2009, once again at Shampoo in The City of Brotherly Love.
The two bands for this edition are Carfax Abbey and Project Pitchfork.
Tickets will be $15.50 and will be available later in the Summer at the usual locations. Visit the Dracula's Ball Website for more information.
As of now you should have plenty of time to make plans to be there!
I hope to see you there! (And FM...This means YOU!)
I'll give you a big fat MAYBE. Most likely though, depends on what the work and school schedule look like. Hmmm, wonder how expensive it would be to fly in.....
It's way too expensive for me to fly there. In fact it's friggin' ridiculous. One more reason why cool events should never be held in Philly.....
Either I drive over 6 hours or it's a no go for me. *grumbles*
Okay, sounds like a road trip is on the table. All I need are some tickets.
We'll be there KC, and if I have anything to do with it, Birra will show up as well ;)
WOOT!
Keep in touch as it gets closer.
We will have a blast I'm certain!
Truth be told sadly I missed the last Ball due to lack of babysitter and the little fact that I was about 4 hours away..
I couldnt make it so I sold my ticket to a buddy of mine so he could go for his birthday.
september..is MY birthday month..
So I will be there with a smile!!
Looking forward to seeing you there Chiyo!
We missed the last one as well as we had a party to attend in honor of a dear friend.
We will try and be there. Its like an 8 hour trip. But I have family out that way. Might as well hit two birds with one stone.
aww i so want to go. i will have to see if i can fit this into my schedule, and my budget. i am in North Western/Central ohio so i will have to see!
I sooooo want to go, I live in Jersey City so Im not TOO far up. Its the matter of if my fiance will be feeling up to it seeing she's due to deliver in December......
You have a bit of time between the beginning of September and December.
that last ball was kinda boring we actually left for a bit to get pizza
That's incredible, I take it you won't be attending this one then?
Well, they can be hit or miss with the bands and the crowd that shows up.
Too many people who don't know how to act when out in public and it makes you want to bail!
I know Carfax Abbey is very good, as we have seen them before. Not sure about the other band but hopefully we will have some friends to chat with if they suck.
Man we haven't been to a Ball in ages, will have to see if we can make it this time, minus the entourage, and just us two. Maybe then we can chat you and the wifey up KC, it's been forever since we saw you!!
That would be SO awesome to have a good VR group so we all have a good crowd to hang out with even if things get a little slow.
It would be awesome to see you again Ankh!
BTW did you know VNV Nation is playing the TLA on 7/19? I think the last time we saw you was at the VNV concert at the Troc.
It would be great having a good group of folks to hang out with.
Just a quick update.
Tickets for the Septeber Ball are now on sale at the usual locations:
Itsotank.com, Digital Ferret Discs in Philly and Ticketmaster.
Hell yes; Dracula's Ball. If I'm in Philly on that date I'll definitely show up.
Dang it I need to sell some cakes so I can get money for the ticket and for gas to get down to Philly!!
Anyone need a birthday cake??
grrr...I hate July..its always a slow cake month...
We will probably be picking up our tickets tomorrow. We will be down on South Street for the VNV Nation concert at the TLA anyway.
If Patrick is around I will try to see if he has an idea of who the DJs are going to be.
Patrick did not have an update on the DJs yet.
I will let you know when they are decided on.
Just a quick update.
Doors open at 8:00pm instead of 9:00 this time and Project Pitchfork will be playing an extended set.
Hope to see you there!
DJ information has been released.
The DJs for the September ball will be DJ Annabel Evil, DJ Damian Plague and DJ RYG.
Let's keep our fingers crossed work gives me the weekend off. :)
To HELL with crossed fingers.
I will resort to threats if necessary!!!
I will have to say maybe i willjion you i have little one and im trying to find ababysitter for the night but i will try
Sounds like a plan! I can make it out for this one. Shweeeet!
To hell with carfax, I wanna see Proj. Pitchfork!!! We want to come, but now our ability hinges on whether or not Seraphine has surgery coming sooner rather than later.....so KC we will have to see....
I've got the weekend off! Friday off too! See y'all at the Ball!
Just read you post in the House Anhk.
Give the little one a hug from us! First things first!
It's coming up soon soon!
I don't even know what I'll wear. Typical me... Doh!
well..I'll see you all there
And if it rains..like Im sure it will..I'll be the one under the big TYCO umbrella..so I'll be hard to miss on the waiting line to get in the door..
also I would like to point out that there is a really good pizza place around the corner from Shampoo
so if you come earlly and get hungry, there Philli cheese steak sandwiches are soooo yummy..
I just recieved an email from the Dracula's Ball team.
Some tickest are still available and tickets should be available at the door for those who may decide at the last minute to attend.
Hope to see you there!
Stage times:
Carfax Abbey (9:45pm)

To anyone that missed the Ball: You missed out. :P
Carfax Abbey and Project Pitchfork were great.
Another great Dracula's ball is in the books.
If you are in the Philly area Project Pitchfork is having a "Meet & Greet" and autograph session at Digital Ferret this afternoon (Sunday).
Check it out!
The next Ball is on Halloween.
DAG and I will not be making that one as we will be flying home from a cruise that day. I will post details anyway soon.
