It's not bad. I hate that my mother chose it because it has half of her name in half of mine, but I shorten the name and drop of the part that is hers - so it works.
Its a normal name you probably hear a lot. I like my name because of it's meaning.
I hate my name but I decided to keep it instead of changing it.
now that I think about it, maybe ... I would have liked the full name that my name is short for
Sometimes, I don't really think about it...but then there are times when it just hits me that...well...that's my name, and it feels so final and just, ugh. Nah, I don't like it. Haha.
I like the meaning of my name.. but I keep it in a shortened version, because I don't really like the full name itself.
I don't even think my name has a meaning, it is just a name lol.
lol.. And you wonder if they had real complicated names back in the old days.
Yes and no, let me explain. My name is Stephen, pronounced Stefen. I live in an area the same spelling 95% of the time is pronounced Steven. It has become an annoyance with me. I honestly will tell a lot of new people now that my name is Sven just to a. mess with them and b. give them a name that dear god you get this wrong and say it wrong I get to laugh at you. Also where the hell in hooked on phonics does a ph make a v sound.
No, there are to many negative things associated with my name sake and the cousins and I who were all given the same name have chosen to go by different names to get away from the negativity.
