RSS Feeds

I know a lot of people don't know much about RSS feeds or what you can do with them, but here's a brief example. Click on the picture to enlarge in a new window:

That's a screen shot of what my personal My Yahoo! page looks like when I log in. I added 2 Bloody Feather RSS feeds to the top left. If you look, you'll see my favorite journal list, and a list of the most recent journal posts.

You can do a lot with RSS feeds. You can incorporate stuff into your personal website (although this takes a small bit of expertise). You can also incorporate things into portal pages (like My Yahoo) that are set up to access RSS feeds.

There are 2 RSS feeds currently available on Bloody Feather. 1 is the feed for the most recent journal posts. The other feed is for your personal favorite journals list. I am going to create a 3rd feed, which will allow you to pull any individual journal.

Many of you have offsite blogs. Many of those blogs will accept RSS feeds. You could configure your non-Dark Network blog to pull snipets from your Dark Network blog. It'd all update automatically when you posted here.

I Tried it with My Yahoo And It Works Great. Will There Be Any Other Rss Feeds In The Pipe Line

Well, I hope to complete an RSS feed for all journals individually. The feed will show the most recent post for the user.

I hope to get it done this weekend. It's the last thing I need to do before Bloody Feather is complete.

I gotta say, Bloody Feather is quickly becoming my favorite Dark Network site, at least in regard to Journals.

Whenever I go to write in my Journal, or view someone else's Journal, I use Bloody Feather. It's got a much better Journal interface.

I'll be finishing up the site soon. I need to finish it before The Dark Network shows at Bat's Day. There isn't much left to complete on the site. Just the main home page and some of the RSS feed code.
