I just got a call from Kay telling me to get in the shower so I can come eat lunch with the Zoo. But, I wanted to take a few minutes and put something here, especially as Red wanted my take on her visit. (Even thoug I teased her that I was going to deny everything from this visit.)
When I found out that Redqueen aka Puppy was coming to visit, I was like............wow....huh...someone from online coming to visit. Wonder what that will be like.
I had talked to Red once on the phone at Kay's and some online, but not a great deal. Kay and Connie and Luanne had talked way more than I had. (As I mentioned in my 25 VR things...I rarely talk online)
So having worked in mental health for 20 years...I was a bit leary. Online folks can be anyone they please---in person is a whole new ballgame.
I was delightfully mistaken in this instance. Red has been even better in person than online. She is charming, witty, gracious, and can deliver zings with the straighest expression I have ever seen. The trait of a true Southern Belle.
I am more sociable in person but that does not mean that I am the life of the party. I am a watcher and a listener (DUH Social Worker here!)
So sometimes I just listen to the interactions around me enjoying the cadence of their voices and sound of laughter. I watch facial expressions and arm movements, body language speaks a lot.
The four of us interact positively but I must say that Cat, Rat, and Puppy can maintain hours of conversation about VR things and people that I have no clue about (nor really want to know - I have enough drama in my own life) It brings a special bond among the three of them.
I have enjoyed my time with Luanne and I will miss her when she leaves. Perhaps I will now make more of an effort to speak with her online.
Perhaps even on the phone...as she now has my number (that reminds me...she needs to give me hers).
It has been a good time that has solidified a relationship that (for me) was a neat person online that is good to talk to and has a funny sense of humor. Someone with whom, if we ever met I might really like as a friend.
Now I have met her and am glad to call her friend. Thanks Luanne, Redqueen, Puppy for coming to visit.

I have decided I do NOT like teaching ITV classes. There is no chemistry with students on a tv screen. Gah....whose bright idea was that anyway? they should be strung up by their fingers and let dangle for while.

The 25 things for VR was for the House....and I had a hard time doing it.....as the following will show.
25. I am not sure I can name 25 things about me and VR but I am going to try.
24. I was in one coven prior to the House.
23. I have a second profile in Debauchery that is inactive of late.
22. I have 19 people on my friends list.
21. Eleven of the 19 are profiles for Rat, Cat and I. Pretty sad huh?
20. I read things …journals and House threads…occasionally the Forum…rarely profiles.
19. I rarely talk to anyone even though I am never in hiding.
18. I am much more sociable in person than online.
17. I have learned some HTML in order to survive with my profile.
16. I hate scarey movies….which includes the gory vampire movies.
15. I like reading vamp books…..and love Laurell K. Hamilton, and hate Anne Rice.
14. I can not think of 25 VR things and have placed stuff about me instead.
13. I like that the House does not pressure anything…..except some participation sometimes.
12. I have wonderful friends in Rat and Cat….who else could say this to me? “Darling you are more than mental too since you have Kay and I for friends, play a Malkavian any chance you get and walk a fine line between Christian’s and Wiccans! Can you say that's a sane person? Lol “
11. Yes it is pathetic that I use quotes from Cat to fill up a number.
10. I have been a member since July 3, 2006.
9. I made it to level 27 all by myself and then said to hell with it and purchased a lifetime.

7. I have no intention of leaving the House willingly.

I have been going to physical therapy since October. Faithfully twice a week and have always done all the exercises and cried through the massages...and did not quit.
But today....I just could not do everything. I injured a muscle on Tuesday with a leg press machine and it has hurt since. I would have really cried if the PT had insisted on massage. But after the examination, the PT was in agreement on not doing the massage or hardly any of the exercises. Hopefully by next Tuesday, it will be better.
On another note....I stayed off ebay for 4 years. I restarted it this week.....and have bid on 26 different things. Gah.

My Valentine's day began with me sleeping in with a headache. Then later a nap but the headache was gone. Stopping by my godson's birthday party for about an hour. Then hanging with the gals.
So I go hang with the gals...which was good and lots of fun....come home... the light is blinking on the machine.....I am thinking ....woot .......someone called to leave me a Happy Valentine's Day message.
What do I get?
"This is Chris the manager, do not run any water or flush the commode there has been a main break and it is backing up into another apartment. It will be in the morning before we can start to fix it. Sorry."
