the coolest thing happen to me.
The day before my dad passed away, I was just standing by the wall, when a little dove walked along the wall and hunkered down beside me.My thing with mom had been the dove. She was my little dove, and thats what I called her often during her last days here.
I took a picture because it so strange for that little bird to come over and just sit there with me.After I calmed down a little and wiped my eyes,I turned to come inside back with dad.I said goodbye and turned around to go back in.After a second,I turned back around.
The little bird was gone.
I cant help but feel it had something to do with my mom.It was almost as though it was just...waiting.
This morning I heard a Hawk's cry.I asked if "Is that you dad?" It cried again as if to answer. I asked something else, but got no reply.
An hour or so later,Im working and not thinking anymore about it really.I had to go down the road for a small errand.I got about 2 miles from home,go around the bend, and there,in the middle of my lane is a Hawk with its wings out, facing me.I stop, get out and look at it..After a minute,I reached down to take it out of the road and it climbed into my hands, just looking at me.It was so calm, holding it,I walked to the truck ,got my phone and took a pic ,before letting it go in the tallest tree I could reach.
Not only was it calm, cool and not even afraid,IT HAS THE SAME HAIRLINE AND LOOK IN ITS EYE AS DAD! LOL I swear! Here is a pic of him with my sister.
This world is so amazing.the strangest and wonderful things happen everyday, even IF they mean nothing.I never want to take that for granted. Ever.

That is just so lovely, and yes.. You can see the resemblance :). Sighs. It also looks a baby owl? They drop from the nest and then climb back up the tree again when they are born.. I know this as came across a baby owl something similar to that and took it to the vet. She called the royal society protection of birds who made me show them where I found it so they could return to the locality.

Signs are a beautiful affirmation that we never are truly alone.

It is said that we see what we need to see and respond to just that. If it brought you peace then that is what was needed.

Literally, awesome and amazing. That you are able to see these things just makes you wonder about our big world and what lies beyond.

Yes...tears welled up in my eyes when I read this.
I believe that the animals of this world are always trying to tell us something...we just need to pay attention more, as you do.

Its funny how our mnds work .I try to be logical about these things but, sometimes, logic just doesnt fit.
I just hope it really is them, somehow. This world would be a dismal place without stuff like this happening to us.

Youre thinking of the little dead one I found at the end of the drive the day my friends baby passed away and my phone was down Ana.
There have been two of the Raptor incidences.
The little dead one was a rare small species that comes through here on occasion I guess.

I have to admit,as I stood there looking at it,after it didnt tear me to shreds after picking it up,tears welled in my eyes too.I didnt want to put it in the tree,I wanted to take it home. But knew I shouldnt.
Sigh..its just always nice when this stuff happens..and its been happening a lot these days.
