Here she is now! All restored and beautiful.I was so happy to see his number still on her.

Im so proud of you dad.If you can hear me,please know I love you...

and her engine re built and all cleaned up!

Thank you BLOODLIFE. I think that engine looks beautiful,but to be honest,I dont know much about engines.What I do know id that from all the pictures I have seen,they kept very true to the way he had it.I am thinking it was the same with the engine.Sadly,I cant ask him about the engine for you though.Sigh~ I sure wish I could.

However,my friend,who was driving the car I posted in a video a while back would most likely know and I will ask him about it.:)

Awesome car and restoration job..

dont think its a 8 valve over head cam engine though the valve covers are not wide enough..

So glad its finally being recognized though :)

Same here Dan.Thank you for the kind words and imput as the the engine too.

Im glad to know the car is being recognised too.Just sortof wish dad could have seen it.But then,he was so humble about it,he might have and just never said anything.

Dont know.

Im so excited right now! I have just learned of,and have seen pictures of my dad's Shelby Cobra in the hall of fame!

They have restored it,and have his pix there with a wonderful write up about him,including one of the races he was in .The names included..

What a line up!

It really warms my heart to know that his legacy WILL live on!

I almost passed out when I heard and saw the pix Captain.Never in a million years had I thought the car would re surface again,much less end up where it is.Im trying to get someone to generate the pix into HTML ,then I will post them.:)

The more and more I use the honour system,the more I believe I like it.

Sometimes here we dont really get to talk to our friends as much as we would like,for one reason or another.Going by their page to say "hi" via rerates was really sortof lame.

I like the honour system because it allows us to say something short and sweet,or not say anything at all.My point is,while we dont always talk to our friends,I do think about them,hoping they are well and everything.Or I see or hear of something nice they might have done for someone and its a good way to show appreciation.So yeah,its nice to be able to show them from time to time, that I think they're awesome...
