The knowledge that I'll be away at Phils for most of next week inspired me to get some serious housework done.
Spiders had the nerve to make webs inches from where I lay my head to sleep, how come my snoring did'nt keep em away ?
I'm watching an old Columbo movie and then Poirot, yep, time to relax now.
MailWatch Update :
I had a plan. When paying my monthly bills this morning I was going to fax my claim form ( they say they have not received two now ) from the post office, thereby being able to get a confirmation slip from them of the day, date, time etc.
However, when I got to the post office and the lady whose window I fetched up at asked the why question, even though there was a really long queue she listened to my story from start to finish, then came up with an even better plan.
It was a play em at their own game kind of plan which I vetoed at first as it involved mo money, but no, the nice lady gave me a free envelope and registration as she could clearly notice the Parcelforce address and knew I was telling the truth.
She even understood my almost manic laughter when tracking number was mentioned and reassured me that this time the right procedure had been followed and everything would be just fine.
She looked a tad worried when I confided that I had a dedicated file set up with all the receipts etc ...just in case....but I understand what I may call organised others may well call over the top.
So, now I got the little suckers *rubs hands and cackles like a crazy person*.
Today is a good day.
Well my question re fluctuating levels has been answered...*clever Thoth*.
I wonder if it's worth the time and effort in the next few days as I will lose it next week when Phil goes off to see friends and I'm looking after pesky dog and bird ?
Still at least a made more favour than I have for a long time so I don't mind.
Hmmm can't remember now, when a member hits Sire does that mean their level will not go down ?
Thing is I'll be off for about six days next week so if I make Sire over the weekend I'll drop again later in the week.
COMMENTS
Sorry, your level may fluctuate... 100... 99... 100... 99... depending on Time spent, forum posts, etc.
Bother ! I'm destined never to make Sire *cries*.
YES YOU WILL!!! :D I will be there as well in a 100 years or so :D
Wow...where did Thursday go ?
It passed so quickly I never saw it, really busy at work but hey at least the time flew by and to be honest I got a bit of a kick all systems firing etc...does'nt happen often.
Hoorah for me lol
Temper > It's not just children or teens that have control issues with temper.
The hardest thing, is when in the process of trying to change ones life for the better and dealing with the little flaws in ones character like a destructive temper, just, just as everything seems to be going tickity boo, just when counting to ten and all those other things start to pay off....boom....we lose it and along with "it" all the good stuff we won with our hard work and perceverance.
I don't recall how old I was when I finally put the cap on my temper, now and again it comes to the surface but generally in a "good" cause.
What I do remember is the hurt and guilt I suffered at my own hand.
On the plus side, those who "know" us, I mean really know and love us will forgive and understand when we say we are sorry, they know how hard it is for us to say the sorry word and they know that when we say it, we mean it.
Then, we take some time out, maybe cry a little and we start to build again, because if we did'nt, then we would have learnt nothing, we may have temper issues but we are not fools, nor are we ungrateful for opportunities afforded us, that's why we go on, it's in our nature.
COMMENTS
I understand what you mean here.
My ex had a bigger temper than I, but he doesn't deserve any forgiveness...because he will always be an asshole...LOL!
Yeah my temper is horrid and I really don't like to lose control.
Next time I ask you to rub my back, just do it bitch!XX
Well the plan was to come online talk to a few people and do some more rating.
Given that idea up, for some reason my system is running real slow. Thought it was just VR but my home page is the same.
Later...I'll come back later.
COMMENTS
I'm having more and more days like that...uggh.
I think it's my ISP and they'd better stop it! lol
I'm use to slow!!
I like slow 'baby' *cheeky chuckle*
It's great to start the day with good news.
I've just heard from Phil, the housing people have offered him and Ray next door a 3 bed house together as their houses are due for a major make over.
I'm so pleased as each of them was a tad worried about where they would end up and how far away from each other they would be.
Ray is truely an inspirational man, and as well as being good company he will also ease Phils mind re pesky dog and bird if he is taken ill.
I can't go back to work till Thursday, so I'll do a bit more rating, though the couple of hours I spent yesterday did'nt bump me up that much.
I just heard that a young lady I "met" briefly yesterday and was very nervous about a college interview did well.
Odd to some when I write I'm really pleased for her, being that I don't actually know her well at all.
It's just that it feels good to know that a youngster with smarts is actually making good and has a bright future to look forward too...so cheers to you girl.
I was thwarted...yes, thwarted earlier today, just started to rate like a mad woman when I lost VR and everything else. Poor Colin, he told me he tried to ping my host but no joy, the ping it would seem has now worked.
COMMENTS
It's when a ping becomes a pong you need to worry!
Isn't pinging a host a sex crime over there? :P
Monday morning, and instead of getting ready for work I'm sitting here writing this.
I have a tummy upset ( can't spell the D word ) which is a pain on two levels. Working in a hospital I have to stay home for 48 hours after I'm better, which irks me but I have to say it makes sense as this kind of thing can and does spread like wildfire.
My sidekick Pat called me at 6.30 this morning to say it was snowing hard where she lives so she wont be in today either.
Knowing her as I do I begged her not to take any chances and try to get in, normally I don't do guilt but I know what she's like, and God forbid she has an accident because she's worried that there is no clerical cover.
So, in order to stave of feeling sorry for myself I shall get on with the rating I started yesterday, gonna make a concerted push to reach Sire.
Sunday night, and I'm trying to get myself out of this chair to make my sandwhiches for tomorrow.
I hate making sandwhiches, don't know why, it's only a five minute job after all, still it beats moaning about parcle-force.
Just read Morri's quip, that cheered me up lmao.
MailWatch Update :
They now say they have not received my fax, odd that the fax machine at work gave me a confirmation and the number is the correct number.
So, I'll send it again Monday. Leave it till Wednesday to e-mail them again and see what excuse they come up with.
MailWatch Update : Received an e-mail to ask when I faxed my claim form and to what number.
Further I was asked what I was claiming for.
Yea, okay they have a sense of humour, either that or I'm going to get very, very angry.
COMMENTS
Very very angry...do you get all mad and turn green and rip your shirt off??
Sic em!
I bet the fault is with the mail in the USA and not this country!!! Royal mail rocks.
lol
I have half a sore throat.
Yep, that's today's big news for me.
That and the hairdresser is going to trim my hair after work.
It's a funny old day today.
No patients coming in Friday so I thought I could bag a day off, but boss got to me first and wants me to come in and do invoices, more boring than watching paint dry.
Still, I have not lost hope, think I will still be able to wangle leaving early.
Yesterday new big boss Mad-dog threw a meeting, at least she gets things done, and Pat and I got to see Veronica (borg princess) again, always good for a laugh.
The fire lecture nearly had me wanting to set a fire myself, now wondering if that man is as much of a bore at home as he is at work.
MailWatch Update : Claim form faxed on Friday, I get to play the waiting game.
I've kind of given up now, even got to think about doing the Cosmic Ordering thing, just one little letter is all.
Busy weekend on the home front, things going wrong mostly.
TV lost some chanels, had to stop Phil doing the "man thing", he pushes buttons just to see what will happen, messess about with wires for the same reason.
Still I managed more by luck than anything else to sort it out.
Mary has just been round. We talked and had a hug, trying times are easier to bear with a hug.
I've decided mornings would go alot better if I could teleport into work.
Once I'm here I'm fine, yep, could someone give the science dept a nudge please ?
MailWatch Update: The international team did not call me back, so I called the main office once again.
Is'nt a tracking number a wonderful idea ?
See, they give you a number ( which is expensive ) but that's okay, because once you have that magic number the mail can be tracked anywhere....yep, that's a wonderful idea, hoorah for whoever thought of it.
Except of course if the mail is picked up by Royal Mail and not Parcel Force.
Yep, Her Majesty graced that particular company, gave it her blessing and they hi-jacked my ******* mail.
They are now advising me to go to "stage two" of the complaints process.
Stage one I did almost a week ago online, now I get to fill in a form.
I'm starting to feel the need to use alot of bad language.....
COMMENTS
Get em' tiger!
Her Majesty's Mail ate a whole lot of letters and packages sent my way from a beau I used to have in the UK. He went mad trying to trace them. Eventually he gave up on sending me things and just phoned instead!
What's stage three? Nuke em!
Back home....bliss. So my last days leave for the year...new lot starts in March...bring it on lol.
So, I've been gone for a week and just called parcel force again.
Now waiting for the international team to call me as the letter still has not arrived. This is the team that told me a week ago that the letter was in Milton Keynes and would leave that same day.....
No point in being angry with the girl taking my call, she was very polite and at least she saw my initial complaint was on the system.
Phil insists that there is something wrong with my sense of smell, if that's so I wish I would smell nice smells instead of nasty ones.
Today is a smile gently but think *rasberry blowing* day.
Still round at Phils, having no internet is a pain, busy at work so only on for a few mins.
Too scared to ask if letter has arrieved in USA.
Pesky dog has had a roll in some very smelly stuff.
Phil in hospital till Monday, but his friend will give me a lift to see him on Saturday afternoon.
Mail has STILL not arrived in USA...eight days and counting.
Phils liking of hospital food has brought him back into hospital as of last night.
Plus side > I get to watch his big screen tv
Minus side > Pesky dog is in full moult and I wont be online line much.
I also get to go to work and back by taxi....ahhh the good life lol
Today seemed to go as quickly as the week-end, most unusual for a Monday.
Killing time till I pick up the phone and call Mary to hear what happened with Mick.
Other than that, it's pretty quiet, I like quiet.
