Anyone know of any home remedies to use to remove ear mites from my kitten ears? I know she has them, I've seen them and she keeps scratching at her ears. I know I should take her to the vet, but I thought maybe someone on here would know of any home remedies instead. Thanks :)
Medusa was a stray before we got her. She had ear mites. What you do is ask your local pet store for the ear meds and advice. Q-tips will help with the cleaning. No need to go to the vet unless it's that bad.
Absolutely! Good ol mineral oil does the trick.Use an eye dropper or saturated cottonball ,squeezing the oil in the ear.Not a ton mind you. Then massage the oil into as much of the ear as possible. It smothers them fairly quickly,so you will want to keep a n eye on the ears, wiping out dead mites and wax a couple times a day at least.Ive used this on horses for many many years. It works!!

You should take the cat to the vet to get fixed and make sure she does not have FIV or AIDS. :)

I use baby oil on a cotton ball. It smothers the ear mites.
