Global Warming and Re-Forestation



The idea that planting forests can off-set CO2 and help slow down global warming is somewhat of a misconception.



It would take 300,000 trees to offset the CO2 emissions of a single coal power plant for only 1 week of operation. We would have to plant more trees than we have land to grow them on to absorb that much CO2.



However, regrowing forests is one of the best things we can do to help our environment in general.



Trees will nonetheless absorb CO2.



Trees will raise the water content of the atmosphere both cooling the Earth and help reflect sun light back into space.



Trees will keep wetlands stable thus provide more area for wildlife and save many species from extinction.

Increased wetlands also provide a protective barrier for cities from hurricanes and other similar storms as well as Tsunamis.

I hope that one day we can all come together as one humanity. One race, one past, one future and one Earth.



We must strive to unite ourselves and our key struggle must be to uplift the only real treasure we have Life, Peace, Justices, Understanding, Knowledge, Wisdom, Brotherhood and Diversity.



So many times we argue and go to war over things that have no fundamental bearing on anything of value. We kill for land or money, we invade to strengthen the selfish state. We see individuals as outsiders, something to be "dealt" with.



There is nothing wrong with being proud of who you are or of where you came from. We must remember though, that union is the only path to prosperity.



Only after we have united as humanity can we walk through the stars. One world can solve environmental change, One world can end genocide, One world can teach and feed billions. One world can use the combined talents of all 6.3 Billion people to preserve our joint heritage and forge a new path together.



The time of waring nations must end and a time of one humanity must begin.

I have a few problems with people as a society and many scientists as a group of mental defects :)



The following statements or fundamental ideas are full of inherent error and hubris.



1. We evolved certain systems because nature decided they were the best.

2. Global warming is the fault of humans and our actions will cause the end of the world as we know it.

3. We have the technology to use geoengineering to solve environmental problems.



1- Evolution is a random series of events that has unknown outcomes. Nature, mother earth, animals... didn't choose shit. Nature did not know what it was doing it, the earth can't think and animals can't choose which traits their offspring inherit.



2- Increase CO2 has always led to bigger and more productive plants and animals. We're coming out of an ice age thus things will get warmer. Yes we have a small role to play but 100 years of pesky human involvement can't change 4.6 billion years of natural systems.

Besides we have no clue as to what warmer or colder temps. are going to do. All we have is speculation.



3- Geoengineering...so human action is the cause of global warming which means human action is going to be the solution to it as well??



I'm to tired to actually write a full thing about all this but hopefully you got the idea.



Stupid humanity, STUPID! If I'm not mistaken Hitler tried to alter the world in fundamental ways with fundamentally flawed thinking. He killed 6 million Jews and we could kill 6 billion people out of fear based thinking and lack of logic.

Oh lookie here, Mr. John Edwards (yeah that John Edwards) has had an affair.

Looks like the Edwards-Kerry-Clinton-Obama group isn't perfect after all.



The only bad thing Ron Paul had going for him was...well nothing. Perfect voting record, perfect home-life and the perfect guy for prez. Well maybe not he was a Republican and we all know how evil they are *rolls eyes.*



Really I don't care he had an affair. These things are almost guaranteed in Washington (and well for the past 10,000 years) and it shouldn't surprise anyone.



All this is going to do is keep our minds off the real issues.



Geez America get off your fat lazy asses, stop watching TV and do something productive. Like what? Like coming up with a cure for cancer, solving the energy crisis, fixing our economy, crushing the IRS, voting for the best not the lesser of two evils.....



You know the real answer, the real leader is not some guy with a million dollar smile in a nice red, white and blue tie, it's you and me.

The problems facing America are huge but the solutions are easy when we understand that YOU are the leader, YOU are the solution and YOU are the salvation and future of this nation.



Yes affairs are bad but in the long list of world ending issues I don't think some old guy with a wrinkly cock poking a chick with dried up twat really matters.



Who built America? YOU! Who won WWI and II? YOU! Who went to the Moon? YOU! Not a bunch of government contractors or lobbyists. Now there have always been other interests involved but it wasn't Halliburton who created Victory Farms during WWII nor was it G.W Bush who gave us the MRI, iPod or the clean water you drink. It was and should always be you, the individual and you the governed.



We can't live in a perfect world but we can try to. So stand up and be simply perfect.
