This morning I had 4 eggs and a ton of bacon, and two bowls of cereal .
I guess I was a bit hungry.
My Mom's Recipe For Tatter Tot Casarole / Hotdish
Recipe: Tater Tot Hotdish
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 1 Hour Ready In: 1 Hour 10 Minutes
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 (32 ounce) package tater tots, thawed
2 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream
of mushroom soup
1 (6 ounce) can French-fried onion rings (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a large skillet cook ground beef with onion, salt and pepper; drain.
Spread into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish
Add tater tots;
Mix Cream of mushroom soup and pour over mixture
Layer above until all ingredients are used
Top with onion rings, if using.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.

I used to make this dish for the hungry hobos at the old biker's house lol. It's almost the same as when I have made it but THIS however, sounds perfected. It never dawned on me to use condensed cream and the french fried onions. I always used milk.
