So ok. ima tell u what just happened. its 5:05am right now. about 20 minutes ago i started practicing drumming. now normally, just like any other activity you wanna take time warming up. same applies to drumming. i dont mean, stretching, unless ur that into it. Like DCI or something. but if ur just sitting aroung practicing on a practice pad, you will wanna take around a good 30 to 45 minutes warmup in by drumming simple exercises and rudiments to warm up the muscles before jammin out.
anyway, so about 20 minutes ago, like i said i started practicing. so by like 10 minutes i was really warmed up and good to go. which is really weird, and outa the norm for me. so i jus started drumming, and i was smelling this smell of smoke. but it was so little it didnt register that i was smelling it. like two minutes later it was so strong i noticed i was smelling it. and i stood up and it was stronger and i was like FUCK! so i started lookin around and sniffin and shit, all over, it was stronger in the middle of the floor than anywhere else but there was nothing there. im standin there thinkin is it electrical? what the fuck is it? so i kept smellin. and it let me to a candle on my dresser where the wic was smoking pretty good; i hadent used this candle in like a month! so since there was no flame i poured water on it to get it to stop and it did.
im standin there like wtf?! im wonderin if the abnormally quick warmup had anything to do with it...or...i didnt know what the fuck was goin on. but now its out and im tellin u this story so ima stop cauase ive caught up to present time. yea. right here. like at this instant. this very moment. right now. yup. ok. so. ciao.

What is Drum Corps International?
Is a non profit organization servicing the worlds premier youths marching musical activity known as Drum and Bugle Corps.
What is a drum and bugle corps?
Is an intense, competetive choreographed musical experience staged on football fields. Drum and Bugle Corps utilize only brass and percussion instruments supported by dance and movement usings flags and other props.
Why do drum and bugle corps?
Young people learn the value of excellence, developing life skills including discipline, teamwork, and leadershp. The musical athletecism in the drum and bugle corps rivals the levels achieved by top Olympians. DCI participants are concidered to be "the example" to high school and college marching bands throughout the World.
What kind of music do they play? Is it all marches?
The variety at a DCI event is as diverse as music itself. Over the coure of the evening your likely to here Jazz, Pop, Swing, classical music, showvtunes, symphonic, and even, yes, marches.
What is the SUMMER MUSIC GAMES tour?
Drum Corps International produces a series of more than 140 competitive musical events from June through August. Most events take place at large high school and mid sized college stadiums. Larger events including the Drum Corps International World Championships Take place in larger college and NFL stadiums.
How many corps participate in a DCI event?
The number of corps varies depending on the event, but a typical show includes 6-8 corps. Larger Regoinal events might include 10 -14 corps while the World Championships could include up to 35 corps in a single event.
How long does each corps perform and are they different each night?
Most performances run between 10-11 minutes. While the tunes and visual programs remain the same, it would be fair to say that each night is an experience on its own as corps progress through the season.
