I just read an amazing journal.
How can a comment here and an opinion there - on a website no less - turn into days worth of debate?
People really need to fill their time more productively in life.
Prayer: for when you care enough to say "I won't offer any real help."
Exactly. If you believe in God, then fine. God is up on a fluffy white cloud playing with a yo-yo. When your friend is hurting, the response "I will pray to God for you." is a bullshit response.
If someone is hurting, GO to them. Yourself. The concept of God is fantastic but... God can't hold a hand. God can't hug. God can't look into the person's eyes and listen.
God as a concept is for when people are ready to help themselves. Sometimes you need a little help from your friends first.
The same as:'' if you pray you'll get'' no you have to work your butt to get something.
...here is a glorious opportunity - but we have to work fast. I need cooperation... from you, you and you.
You #1 met with me, said he would get to work on it and has been silent for 4 days since. And doesn't return calls.
You #2 we've played a bit of phone tag, but he has been "it" three times now.
You #3 doesn't exist yet because it would be pointless to waste his or her time due to the failures of You #1 and You #2.
I should write this in the style of Dr. Seuss...

Hi nice profile. I enjoyed my visit. 10 from me.
Uhhh.. yeah.. but... it's my portfolio you were rating...
Now I have Rifftrax tourettes...
"But you are the EHHHX-pert!"
So I take the 4GB SD card for the video camera from Morri before I left for Boston.
And where was it tonight as I was trying to film planes landing at Logan?
In the SD slot on my laptop, of course.
*hits head repeatedly*
Internal memory was full?
Oh good I'm not the only one does things like bring the camera battery and the charger and then leaves the camera at home.....
don't you hate when that happens?
Try that in a third world country and you have nice paper weight. At least you were somewhere you could get a new card or two eh?
Ok, it's 4:30 and I just finished... lunch.
That would have went a lot smoother if the in-line stop valve would have been functioning properly...
...but not a day of rest. Just what I wanted on a day I planned on catching up on things that have gone neglected... I have to pull network cables at a customer site, then I have to go shop for and install a water heater... these things have lovely timing.
Enjoy your day, VR'ers.
...I finally got an email from the below mentioned CS Supervisor at 11:35PM...
I was able to get the information my customer needed.
Now, to convince him to move away from this crappy service. Heh.
...so after two non-returned calls to the invisible account executive, I called back and after a 19 minute hold a customer service supervisor promised me all would be fixed - and the account executive's manager has been notified and will be calling me.
She also said she fixed the problem with the password and would send an email to my client with his new information...
...hours later, still no email... and no call from said manager.
Customer service at its finest. Their motto must be, "We're not happy until you're not happy."
...so they have an "account manager" who of course cannot be reached via the company phone system, despite they provide VOIP services... *ahem*
...and when I call her number I get immediately sent to an uninitialized voicemail... can't tell who it belongs to or even if she'll get the message...
...and yeah... hope those numbers port from your service faster than you respond to requests...
1. your "forgot password" link doesn't send us an email.
2. your customer service manually reset the password and it still isn't working.
3. we have to go around and around on this for 30-60 minutes every time we call.
4. The customer just wants a copy of his bill, which he hasn't received in email in over a year. How difficult is this?
1+2+3+4 = Whatever system you're using, it doesn't work.
Now shut up and give me a manager who can fix all of this.
