i hear all kind of story about a person turning or awaking in to this vampire life. my question is how do you know if you are realy awaking to this vampire life or are you reading to much about vampire and just believe what you have read???
I think you could be awaken to the livestyle but always known there was something different about you, and when you find it, it explains everything you have struggled with, with-in yourself!
what make you know how you find that difference in you??
Good question!
I think with alot of confusion, you slowly come to realize, and when you find someone who has or is going through the same thing, pieces of the puzzle come together!
I agree, you always felt there was something missing as you grew, something dark inside, but could never figure out what it was. Often your freinds or people who know you also would have noticed it.
Or you could of fought it for a while, trying to ignoring it, if it goes against whatever religious believes you may have grown up with!
i think that the more you spend exploreing the feeling you might come to understand them better.
I see it as just believing what u read and the stories u hear. Then u just think u are a vampire
many who believe in awakenings are the otherkin. which i do believe vampires are recognized in. it for some is realtively painless and for some it is the end of the world type of change. i have a huge thing in my journal about it. i am not going to force people to scroll through pages of it on here, but it is an interesting read.
i think it depend on how a lifestyle appears to them as they learn they can realise that its so them that it could possiably awaken to into it. but theres many opions and many theorys on why and how anyone becomes what they are.
How about you? The person that started this thread?
I suppose vampire awakening would be like anyone finding their way/awakening when realizing what they are drawn to, how they feel about a particular subject. People are drawn to art, to music, to writing - something that consumes their thoughts and actions.. to realize they are what they are - same would go for feeling one was a vampire in any of the various forms - or just the lifestyle is what they are most comfortable being in and around.
Seems I re-opened a can of worms by mentioning the "awakening" eh Sith?
Anywho, I believe the "awakening" factors go much deeper than just reading about vampires in books, watching them on the telly, or even better...Seeing the lifestylers in public, acting on their own ambitions.
The attributes of the "awakening" come from instinct usually at an early age. Though so go through the denial process throughout their young to middle adult lives.
You often have dreams of being the vampire, even if you are not interested in either the fictitious or mythical creature. It is a bit like a metaphysical puberty in a way...Although, as I have explained time and time again, it depends on the individual what attributes open up at what age. If at all.
Clairvoyance, more awareness for life around you, your 6 senses are highened accordingly, not that you are superhuman or anything, but some seem to build an affliction for the light of day. This may be from a manipulative perspective of what they are conditioned to belief a vampire is...But some how, it is a bit differant than that.
More in time.
I disagree. There have been things that I was struggling with for a while. Thought I was the only one going through this. Come to find out that I was not alone. Vampire awakening was real. I realized this when I was introduced to someone who knew right away what I was going through.
Awakening is a personal thought.. some people may never "awaken" to what they are, some do..and others take time to become aware of what they want to be, or have become or in the process of becoming.
It seems pretty clear that those who feel they have had an awakening are going to have some rather strong feelings about what they feel they went through.
Are there any who had a change of opinion in one direction or the other?
i say u grow into it. heck just bite me and ill show u how long it takes lol
How do you mean Felix? When you say in which direction? Are you talking about the positive vs negative aspect of the awakening as it partains to the individual?
The awakening...well some seem to go through some sort of happening around puberty but there are many of us who don't...we just sort of evolve into a recognition of a "name" for what it is we are and in various ways. If you live in an area that is more or less a hub of activity you are one up but if not you may never recognize what it is and its just a tag anyway to define what appears to be on a spectrum and not entirely the same for all. Also if you are much older you may define it as a more spiritual/psychic type of thing and never recognize it as vampire but you are unconsiously drawing energy in because you will regardless of whether one is aware.
As far as the day to night thing there are always exceptions to the rule in this life and no one is a cookie cutter vampyric. There are some who love the sun and the warmth and live a very day lifestyle and then there are a majority I believe who do not but many adapt. Everything is suppose to have balance and if so for everyone who loves the daytime there are bound to be those who do not. Does that make them a vampire...no! Most often though it seems that they identify more with the evening hours. Many believing there is reversed circadian rythms. It has never been put to any sort of test even if it could be tested. Most everything is belief and personal experience.
Many of us knew there was something beyond the norm from quite a young age...you could say we were born into it but that does not mean the social scene aesthetic which is a side issue.
Agreed, an awakening may just be that you have been what you have always been yet with your new found knowledge your are opened and therefore awakened to your new self and belief... the vampire...
You will know when your awakened just something different about u changes and when u were growing there that missing thing,
"what make you know how you find that difference in you??"
Individual choice.
Partaking in the 'vampire lifestyle" with having a blood donor, dressing up, re-decorating your home... all boils down to choice, imo.
i really like what some of you have said and that would help me understand some of the dream i have when it come to biting someone for there blood. i have not tried it in real life for i just thought it was dream or something my mind made up.
I believe if you are you are you should know yourself and not become something you are not
I think the first question you have to ask yourself if "Do I truly identify with vampyrism and if so, how?"
Dont look to the story books for comparisons because all that does is give you the hollywood over eggagerated views. But looking deeply within do you feel the difference of self that may not be "normal" to everyone else.
Yes the feeding aspect comes into play but some may not know exactly what it is their experiencing. And others may just naturally be sensitive to energy, not neccesarily vampyric.
You have to look within yourself and if you are honest with yourself and have no second guesses, then you are on your way to "awakening" to your true nature...your vampyric nature.
honestly I think it all has to do with what a person believes. A person may sense that is there something different about then and then stuble onto the vampire lifestlye later in life and then they come to a realization of who and what they are.
Take me for example. I am turning 26 this year and i suppressed everything that i had felt for Vampyres cause that is not the way society saw me and i wanted to feel accepted even though i was wrong in everything that i was denying.
It wasn't until recently after breaking up with my ex that i got a hard snap back to reality. Society won't be there for me i have to take and do for myself or i will never be what i want to be. Thats when the Vampyreism hit. It was like a truck hit me and i was in a coma forever and woke up realizing that i was a Vampyre.
Don't believe everything that you read. Seperate fact from fiction when in doubt...with your heart & mind.
We all possess, to greater or lesser degrees, dark desires to which we may be "awakened." Were this not so, video games like "Grand Theft Auto", as despicable as this game is, would not have such mass appeal. We all know what it is to wonder about actions that are "taboo"... and hopefully have the common sense to understand when such taboos are well warranted and when not (unfortunately, games like GTA blur or retard such inherent understandings for the very young, which is what makes such glorification of the true evil so despicable... but... I digress).
Given that we all have dark desires, it is my opinion that "awakening" occurs when anyone chooses to acknowledge their own "darkness" and begin to live in accordance with it as relates specifically to traits paralleling those of the fictional vampire. Hence... the "vampire" lifestyle in emulating fictional "vampirism."
However, the true "awakening," as relates to actual historical vampirism, requires an entirely different and far deeper understanding of what exactly "vampirism" originally was and is... and is most certainly not possible for the vast majority of the population regardless their own dark desires; they are simply not physiologically nor emotionally capable of it. Particularly men would find this capacity for true "vampiric" Awakening to be... as science has already (though prematurely) concluded to be... "physiologically impossible." At least 40% of all females are truly capable of such "awakening"... though all females possess the potential for it. However, as such is only possible with another who has already been "awakened" (hence, the later fictional portrayals of all such occurring only with the participation of an already "awakened" "vampire"), yet so very seldom has such true "Awakening" ever been experienced.
Thus... true "Vampiric" "Awakening" does indeed exist. However, it is exceptionally rare and has absolutely nothing to do with the perpetuation of fictional vampiric traits such as blood-drinking, fangs, fear of crucifixes and daylight, becoming "undead," etc.
Just another tip-of-the-iceberg comment.
Well for me I've always been inteested in vampires I remember back in the second grade I bought a book from book club all about differentvampires around the world and all my life I've been studying them. I've read countless books on the topic. From stories and real live events to sceintific approaches at vampires. It has always been with me.
i grew up knowing that something was different about me and wasn't able to put a name to it until i became an adult and read up on what i was experiencing, hence my "awakening".
Thinking about this from a slightly different perspective...vampire 'awakening' could totally be reading waaay too much into a fantasy lifestyle.
That said, I still say that all that boils down to a conscious choice along the lines "I want to be a vampire, so I will start to act like the vampires I've read about."
This plus serious free time and free-flowing cash can crate quite a sight to behold, I'm sure.
This is a tough one.
Some people may be 'awakened' and all of their questions about themselves may be answered. And then there are the other people who use it as an excuse for attention, and act the way books and movies tell them a vampire should be. This is how I feel about it.
Either you a born a vampire or you're just a person who likes the taste of blood. Eating dog food doesn't make you a dog. It just makes you kind'a... gross. :/
