I have just been reading about sliders or “street light interference – SLI” affecting street lights, radios, airplanes, light bulbs, credit cards get erased, watches stop, volumes go up n down n so forth.
I was wondering if they were a type of energy vamp or if they have a negative effect and stop our feeding?
What do you know about them?

Ive never heard of this, but I have heard of magnets erasing credit cards as well as many other "electronic information." Maybe its connected somehow.

my family has a selection of these er.. quirks. like my mother cannot wear a watch in fear of breaking it. correction it stops working altogether when she removes it from her wrist the first time. putting it back on doesnt work. she would have to keep it on her indefinately if she wants it to work in the future.


and i have a small party trick that freaks out my friends. half the time i do the wink and gun at a unlit streetlamp in the dark i can make it turn on with my charm. of course nobody notices when it doesnt work just when it actually works with perfect timing. same with green lights but im sneaky and time the redlight going the other way so it doesnt actually count.

i have heard of this before. it's happened to me, and it happens a lot to a friend of mine. there is a similar phenomena in our family with watches too. my mother cannot even wear a digital watch without it going wrong. i can wear digital watches, but clockwork watches become very erratic. at first they speed up, and then they keep stopping, then finally die completely. my nephew cannot even wear digital watches without them breaking down. i can't wear silver - well i can, but it turns black on me. i dont know if these are conected, but it would tie in with strong electromagentic impulses. when i was young i was often the centre of poltergeisdt activity too.

the slider effect on street lamps only affects certain lamps thaT i walk undr, but whenit affets my friend, every street lamp he walks under flashes off,and comes on again after he has passed.

I wonder if it has do do with the positive and negative poles of our bodies energy. My previous mate had a similar issue with watch wearing . He couldn't wear a watch with a battery it always messed up.

This is the first time I've heard about this but I find it very freaky because I've experienced some similar things mentioned in the article provided above. It was a few months ago when, thrice in a row, the buses and taxi I rode in broke down. They were different vehicles. I've also had computers and electronic devices malfunction around me. I'm generally a very skeptical person and just laughed off my previous experiences and dismissed them as mere coincidence. But I'm welcoming any further explanations and resources discussing the phenomenon so I could better understand it and perhaps gain new insights.

For many years I have had the same thing with streetlamps that some will go out when i drive by them. I was always curious as to why they did that

I know think I would notice if I was causing lights to go out but that might be because I don't go many places where the lights are running in the first place.

I understand the phenomenon from experience. I cannot wear a watch unless it has a cloth band as they keep malfunctioning with metal bands normally they stop completely. I had not paid attention to the streetlight part but had seen it happen in what I thought was to often but "coincidental" fashion. As a chemist (not pharmacist) I was not willing to place me as the cause for the streetlight effect.

My fiance's daughter has great problems with magnetic and electronic devices. The electrical system in her car is having problems that mechanics cannot isolate. Cell phones have short life spans in her hands before "dying". We will not give her credit cards to fill her gas tank as they are wiped.

I've known people like that. Lights flicker when they walk past or bulbs blow out. I am not certain as to what causes it...... if it's this SLIder you are referring to or not.

This morning I went to the food store. They open at 7 I arrived at 6:55. There was a ;ady and myself waiting for them to open. The store has the automatic doors that open when u step into the sensor beam. Both her and I tried and the door would not open. About 5 minutes later i went to look through the door to get someones attention and it opened. When I checked the switch on the door it was in the off position.

everytime i go to my mom's house and i walk to the store at night all the street lights click off when i walk under them. They come back on when i pass them but its weird. My sister can wear watches for fear of breaking or stoppping it. Maybe its a family thing.

I've heard of sliders but I don't know much about them specifically. I do know that anyone with a high (or low) enough ambient energy field(s) will effect electronics with a certain amperage.

Personally speaking, I have several friends who won't let me near their microwaves or computers :)

It's all a matter of interference, even if it's just a small amount it can cause a great deal of damage. An analogy to this would be the "Great Northern Blackout" (1970's) a single circuit box in Canada tripped the system and caused 35-40 million people to lose power.

I've never heard of this before, but it sounds like an inner pole thing. Them possibly being "off".

I've read a little about this before. When I turn lights on, I tend to blow the bulbs, quite frequently. I'm not sure what causes it to happen. I've heard of people walking or riding under street lights & it happening as well. I have never experienced this personally. Some people have mentioned to me that it happens more often when someone is driving under/past a street light & that this can be contributed to the head lights not being lined up right. Say if one is pointed toward the sky, then it can make the light go out. I don't think this is the case for all that it happens to, but a justified theory to way it does to some.

Perhaps it is some type of electormagnetic disturbance caused by the earth at random times and locations?

This is what happens when a conclusion is arrived at based on an incredibly faulty premise and then exacerbated further by applying superstitious beliefs observable phenomena: you end up extrapolating an even wilder superstitious belief that takes you even further away from logic and any possible understanding of that phenomena and ever closer to actual lunacy.

Now we have SLI-der phenomena, whose actual existence is highly questionable to begin with and based solely upon highly circumstancial ... if not wholly coincidental ... evidence, now being accepted hook-line-and-sinker as not only real, but the result of a previously unseen and unknown group or race of "energy vamps." (?!!)

Is this the 21st Century... when logic and rationality are supposed to matter now more than in the superstitious Ages past? Or are we digressing back to the Dark Ages where superstition reigned and ignorance was indeed considered "bliss"?

WHEN I ENTER ROOMS SOMETIMES LIGHT JUST GO OUT OR ELECTRONICS WILL GO HAYWIRE. IT MAKES ME WONDER SOMETIMES.

I have not heard of it being called such, yet I do know there are people who the lights act weird or they have trouble with electronic devices. Maybe their energy is interfering with each other.. hummm.

This is the first I have heard of this. Though it is not that shocking either.

theres a lampost on the street right by my house that goes off every time i get near it ,,sometimes when i just look at it from my window!!

Thanks for posting this...my brother's wife (before she passed away) was able to do this, but she never paid any attention to it.

It wasn't until her son who was playing with a rc car turned the car off while standing close to her and the car continued to run, that she started paying attention to these oddities.

i think it might have something to do with some kind of magnetic wave length energy but it is possible it could be anything.

a slider chares charactoristics to a magnit so i am thinking they are linked like they are both a highly magnetic force causeing ramdom things to electronic devices and varyious thing but who to really say or not but these would be a possible theory.

I feel we all have a magnetic pull in our bodies to a certain degree so this could be some of what cause s this, I know many that have this happen to them, I could be wron just an observation is all.. :0

I have heard of people walking by or driving by street lights and they will go out . After they get by they will come back on. But I have never personally seen this happen. But for some unknown reason my Dad can not wear a watch of any kind. .He can have it on just a matter of minutes and it will stop working.

I can see that, as some can short circuit watches and can't wear them. My Mom always said that when I got really mad, she could feel it in the air and she said she thought light bulbs were going to start blowing out! I used to have pc probs like that and so did a friend that I would talk to. His pc would start acting wierd when talking to me. Odd.

I have not experienced this issue except for random occurrences of street lights going off as I drive by which I figure is just timing as they do not last forever. I have, however, heard people state they have issues with watches. I admit, I am quite skeptical of claims regarding anymore than issues with watches. In order to believe this is anything more than a freak, random occurrence, I would require personal visual verification.

Regarding energy vampires - this is certainly not a new term, especially considering that vampirism as I define it (obviously just a personal opinion) is the inability to create one's own energy countered by the ability to gather needed energy from external sources. To me, regardless of feeding style, ALL vampires are energy vampires.

Wow, I would love the ability to harness electrical power and use it. For evil, of course. ;)

I have never affected a watch, but Street lamps always go out when I am just by them and when I leave the area they turn back on if that is related... Seemed like it is...

I wonder if we are affecting the street lights or just over powering our reality of the light being on…….

I have never heard of this. I have heard of ppl who cannot wear watches as they have to much electricity in their bodies.

i can do this thing with an ipod to make it static or not static in the car just by touching it. My friend were pretty amazed, though it makes you quite tired afterward.

For some reason, if I am weak, my comp, coffee pot, microwave, tv, etc goes on a fritz.

If they exist at all I'm sure they're just things or spirits used to combat the feeding effects of energy vampires and the like.

After a period of time where a lot of strange things, primarily electronic, occurred while I was staying with friends, they suggested that I might be a SLIder. I do feed on energy but it is normally from people. However, I was physically exhausted one day and very down when electronic equipment started to fail one by one. All of it refused to come back on until several hours later. Then, when it finally did come back on, my friends pointed out that I had gone from being exhausted to being hyper for no apparent reason.

I have a friend whocan do that to his computer, and T.V. Once when he tried to put out the whole house he almost got struck by lightning, on a clear day. Perhaps, it has to due with an electrical current that runs through their bodies? Maybe every person who gets struck by lightning is like that? That would be an interesting thing to find out.

I have never heard anything about this before will have to read up some more on it. The only thing that might even come close to what is mentioned in this thread is that my husband can not ware watches because he drains the energy in them. Its something to do with the high amount of static elctricity that is in his body.

I live with in 50 feet of a power switching station and I can hear it hum and buzz.When it leaks a huge amount of EMF.(Electric Magnetic Field)I get dizzy and feel faint sometimes the electronics in my house go haywire.
My portable emergency, radio will loose its battery power 20 minutes after i have wound it up.My T.V. pixels or stops in the middle of a program (I have a DVR like TiVo)So i have to stop the program and rewind it.My dowsing crystal will spin out of control and it is suspended from the door way.
We shock the door knobs or our blankets have static cling and we do not even have carpet.So I don't know if this is the same as the SLI you are referring to even though i have 3 out side my house to light up the switching station.

And I have no clue if its energy vampires doing any of which you were referring to but In my post above i was giving my example on what might be possable.Is effecting people being around high amounts of EMF will make air planes go haywire and will erase anything analog or mess your pc up.
But as far as being anything supernatural as a energy vampire I am not sure I am not one.
