Hey everyone getting on here to voice my opinion the Government is trying to shut down all the Electronic Music DJ's in the US with the Anti Rave act. It's our duty as people who listen to this type of music or just like to dance in public to put the fight against them.
check out http://www.drugpolicy.org/drugbydrug/rave/ for information on the law
and http://www.protectlivemusic.org/index.html to find out how to help the fight against this First Amendment violation.
You asked me to comment on this DJ, but my comments probably won't be along the lines you were thinking they would be.
My level of public activism has greatly decreased. Futility and cynicism overcame me, and I no longer concern myself with such things. Mainly because, in the grand scheme, this will not affect me. I don't necessarily mean this law. I mean the business of Washington.
This November may be the first Presidential election that I don't vote. I couldn't be more disgusted with politics in this country...
Hey its cool I am still holding on hoping that there is a chance they will stop a law that will put everything in my life towards to a crashing end and I will lose the one thing that gives me a little bit of fun.
Hoping whoever gets elected doesn't suck.

i haven't seen a lot of the Presidential debates, but we do get the American News Channels on satellite here (I watch FOX or CBS) I am wondering if its true... or what is American's saying about President Bush wearing a wire and getting his questions answered for him?? Can this be true, or am I hearing it wrony on this side of the Atlantic?
i think that wire is to aid in his movement, if you look closely you can see the strings attached to his arms and mouth, hes like a giant thunderbird. without the cool vehicles.
He is pretty dumb to let the law get signed into place even though he was against it by not reading the Code Adam laws and it was attached to it and he was like DERRRR let me sign without reading.
OMG! I haven't heard anything about this before now. At my shop I sell water, and glowsticks, and massage oil, things that glow in the dark, and during the winter months, I sell VICKS inhalers just out of common curtosy. I don't promote the use of Ecstacy, I promote sex!
wow this is the frist ive heard of this and it kinda upsets me.. i mean ectasy is bad for ya but if you tell people no there just going to keep doing it just to piss them off but w/e id vote against it cuz i like my tecno
I rather have the sex than the drugs, really.
Or tattoos, and more piercings... so much more to life than drugs.
i am going against the grain here but i am pro-bush. kerry es no bueno for business. but on to the topic: the antirave act has failed in the house once before and in the senate as well. who knows if it will pass this time.
I believe you should be free to do whatever you want to do it's your body but jus cos u wanna do it don't expect me to do it to and if you know what the consequences will be be careful..................me I don't do drugs EVER but some of my mates do it which is cool I watch them jus in case but as long as they don't shove it down my throat its all good.
(SIDENOTE:Bush scary bastard its like havin a 4yr old behind the world's biggest nuclear arsenal................................................. my "Spideysense" is tellin me he aint good.)
i love your comment Daire since it is so true and if you look really close you may just see cheney's hand up his arse.
the politics these days do suck. i'm not a fan of the cheap and dirty politics that the bushies use. i just wanna hear about the issues and how you are going to fix things. i watched all three debates. before i was just 'anyone but bush' now i'm firmly supporting kerry. he answered what i wanted to hear. now i know that 99.9% politicians are full o crap however i'll take the one that isn't nearly as full of it as bush.
kerry may say things people want to hear, but he has no plan to achieve these things. he sold-out our country, scum of the earth.
I'm going to close this thread. This is one of the very few areas that I do not want Vampire Rave to go.
In my experience, the discussion of politics is always a no-win situation. You never change anyone's mind, and everyone just argues and gets pissed off.
