Ok that a stab at this one.

The question I pose is pretty straight foreward.

The full moon is associated in many ways with vampires, were___, and the undead in general.

Do you believe that it is just nonsense or do you believe that the moons cycles have a much effect on "things" as peolpe say?

I believe that the moon cycles have a HUGE effect

For the record, I believe that the moon has a profound effect on behavior and emotions. We know that humans feel the actual pull, much like the ocean, of the moons alignment, but I have argued in the last few days that it does effect us psychologically as well.

...i think it does - and if it does on "normal" people, then the influence on others of a more "sensitive" nature that much more so!

i dont know to be honest, ive always had a fasination with the moon, i always follow its cycles, also try and see it everytime there is a clear night sky.

I think the moon has a huge effect of people .. in my experience working many different places you can jsut feel in the air a change in people, their attitudes, the things they say, how they react .. the saying that the "crazies" come out in the full moon, I've found to be really true.

I beleive that the moon has a profound

effect on all of earth creatures.



You see most all of us are born at one time

or another and when the stars, planets and

expecially the moon are placed in such a

way, that makes us who we are having a

sun sign and a moon sign is very important

to evenyone.

(its our given birth sign and our 2ndary sign.)

So yes deffinally everyone is affected by the moon.



Cancers expecially cuz it is their rulling planet.

( I know its a rock/moon but in astrology its called a planet, same as the sun.)

i've seen to many strange things to don't beleive that the moon cycles do change the way people act.

there have been studies done showing that the moon does in fact have an affect on briain chemistry due to the gravitational and magnetic effects...how strong these effects are is largely questionable........

Yes.. yes.. I have had a very rough week due to the moon. It effects me greatly, in many different ways.

I wonder too, maybe it's just the summer hours ... but it seems that there's a little bit of a shift int e balance of things on the site .. meaning, those who typically are on late at night, or early morning; are on here later, and vice versa .... is this jsut due to many people on here being students and their schedules being different or is it something else?

As we all know, the planetary pull of the moon, and the influence it has on tide cycles etc, is bound to unsettle many things

A study performed in the US during the 60's proved that during a full moon cycle, patients in mental facilities experienced longer episodes, increased erratic behaviour and general disruption during this period. This included patients there where not privy to know the cycles, nor see the evening sky

I do believe that the moon cycles have an effect. Crime rate goes up on full moon nights. (fun fact) lol. ^_^

I find that every time I go out during a full moon, things get out of hand. It's like all the crazies come out to play. People's personalities do change.

During the cavemen time, they used the phrases of the moon to chart the times of the year and time of festivals and such. Woman used the cycles to chart years and such. Moving on, through out time the moon has conducted a change in ppl. LIke techinically, u rnt born under a certain sign u could b born under a certain moon like the Moon of Leo or Moon of Cancer and other such things. I always use the moon to chart when I'll do rituals cause it takes a certain moon for sumthing to work right.

the moon has a very strong effect on most things , however some people and some creatures have a more intense change or draw from the phases of the moon than others..

I find it effects females moreso.. Me and a friend, Dawn. Had a rough week, we spent most of it together, every night we went out to dance around and be idiots in the street. Yes, we became.. very.. ehh.. insaner.. *laughs* Jumping at every little noise.. over dramatizing everything.. meh, can't say it wasn't fun, just rough. *twitches* it is taking a while to wear off..

From personal experience I can say that the cycles of the moon have a definite affect on things. When I was with the MDPD, crime was always higher during the full moon phase and even now as a Bounty Hunter my prey tend to fight more during the full moon.

Well, the moon affects the tide and it gives some energy or helps us channel into our energyand many other things. (Like some Lycanthropes I know ^__^) So yeah, it does affect things, very much so.

I believe whole heartedly that the moon effects behavior. And I believe that all the werewolves and lycans on this site besides me would agree. We're cursed and it's because of that round white orb. But it's not neccisarily bad.

Oysters travelling in sealed containers with no sensory ability beyond the tank, will still open when the moon is at its highest point. I have also heard of the studies involving clinic patients. Again with no knowledge of time of day, let alone moon phase, there were definate spikes in irrational behavior.

I used to work at a Mental Asylum and i can definately vouch that the Patients were alot more active when there was a full moon than any other phases of the moon.I'd often see patients that were normally fairly inactive become quite animated and erratic during a full moon.Certain wards I'd avoid if possible during these times because certain patients (not all) would become quite violent.

Most definately the moon cycles take a toll on everyone and thing.....

Base line, we are all animals, and tho we have evolved we still carry the old instincts.. we are affected by the moon, the sun and other elements in this world.

The moon controls the tides.
The human body is made up of a huge percentage of water. The "pull" that the moon has on a human body is just like Dhampir said. Lunar/moon=Lunatic/human

yes the moon seems to effect us all who of us hasn't gone out on the town to "howl at the moon" personally im drawn to the new moon moor than a full moon

The cycles of the moon have a very profound effect on night bound creatures. It's equivilant to an overcast day .... have you ever noticed that people work a hell of a lot slower when they can't see the sun?
Alternatively, have you ever noticed that on a full moon, you hear more dogs, birds, bats, even insects?

The Lady adds an interesting point... You can definately hear more animal and insect noises during fuller moon phases.
