Does any one on Vampire rave believe in numerology? or that certain numbers mean different things? I have had re occurring dreams where numbers standout can anyone help me with this?
Are you talking about like saying seeing numbers over and over mean something? I see it as an OCD complex and see nothing psychic or really having any meaning other than the fact that a person has found something that is interesting and they become so keyed in on it that that is all they see.
There are some books that say that Numbers rule this world... Just look at the number 42! On a serious note, I do believe in Numerology, and I have, in my ownership, a couple of books on it. I was really into Numerology growing up, and may have a thing or two to say about it. It is supposed to be a science based on a spiritual relationship between numbers and personality traits, events, and our relationship with other beings. It is pretty wide and can be very watered-down.

I myself do not believe in Numerology. I find it interesting but that is the extent of it. I think that it is a way to find a reason for seeing a certain set of numbers over and over but other than one's mind picking them out and saying 'yep that's important, let's find more' I don't see anything else. It is intriguing though, I will give it that.
Believing numbers have significance goes way back. I took classes in Numerology (Pythagorean) but there are various types. This was back in the 70s so I didn't really keep up on it. Chaldean is the oldest but most that are into Numerology use Western style of Pythagorean which is what I learned but there are a number of types. One is Gematria or gimatria which is a traditional Jewish system of assigning numerical value to a word or phrase, in the belief that words or phrases with identical numerical values bear some relation to each other, or bear some relation to the number itself as it may apply to a person's age, the calendar year, or the like.
Therefore, man has believed for centuries in a variety of ways that numbers have a connection to our lives. Modern man for the most part has shunned the idea even though many are Christian and perseverate on the number 666 and 13. I found it interesting but unless you delve into it far beyond the basics it is mainly a game for people who are fascinated by the idea of it.
I had this date with this girl once,we were in new york city,i was around 22 years old at the time, were walking, and as were walking hand in hand we pass this fortune teller place, she stops me and says lets get our fortune told,i told her, there fake, and trying to steal your money, she has drapes with stars and moons on them, and blinking lights, fake, lets move on.she says cmon, how much can it be.i said im paying, thats how much, she looks at me frowns, and i said.ok,lets go.kisses me on the cheek, and now were walking through this door, cramped and musty, and this old gypsy woman steps up to us,and says come in.were both trying not to laugh, and i said how much will this cost, she said because your both young and dont belive, for the both of you 20.00 bucks.,now in those days twenty dollers was a big deal, but i agreed, and said to my girl at the time ladies first, and she says no you go.i sit down at this round table with cheap table cloth, and she proceeds with her cyrstal ball, and says the number 166,that is your number forever 1plus 6 plus 6 is 13 and 1 plus 3 is 4 she says the number 4 is your birthday is it not,i was floored, how would she know that.of course she went on to tell me other things.but later in life the number 166 comes up ,every now and again.i hung that number in my room where i could see,and had weird dreams on that number so i took it down.,i know what your all thinking is this guy nuts.no,just crazy that i paid 20.00 bucks.
the numbers 9 and 6 seem to be important and 3.its always a good idea to do something three times.goverments like to stage something on a date with 6 in it
Numbers play a role in everything we're around.
I don't think it's a coincidence i woke up at exactly 3:33am hearing a deep toned voice, or finding pork chops in Walmart priced at $6.66.
The devil is just quirky like that. :)))
Numerology, MMm, If I am correct, number never has been used to created any supernatural event and for sure, only are used to count money and currency.
I can`t say that I ```believe`` in Numerology, but I do accept that there is some truth behind it.The numbers 7 and 9 are ussually a Show of power and wisdom.4 is perfect and 144 is a dual star. But again I grew up in a Family of physicists and mathematicians,so I`m a bit biased
So for no other reason, just find out what the numbers mean. Look it up and have some fun with it.
The numbers I trust in are 870.
As in Remington 870.
No, I do not believe in the numeric nonsense. However, I'm open to it. Simply prove it up.
Numbers has it origin during Ancient Mesopotamian, so, I don't see numbers used for other then counting. Number 13 is the number that most people like to talk about and one of the reason is that number 13 is associated with the end of the Mayan calendar's 13th Baktun was perstitiously feared as a harbinger of the apocalyptic.
Yes, that's true. However, to.comprehend mystical number, we have to acknowledge the mathematical limitations of the ancient world. 13 is a prime number. As far as I know, it was the Ancient Egyptians and Ancient Greeks who had some knowledge of such numbers. 7,11,13... They probably posed some form of mystery and bafflement to other ancient systems. Thus the mysticism. Despite all that, the number 7, to me, holds more appeal than other mystical numbers.
I do both astrology and numerology charts so it's not an issue with me. Remember that numerology is to be used as a guide however what you learn from ot should be used in a slow and wise manner
Never really put much thought in to it. But I use to obsess over having to watch a clock turn to the time 6:17 for some reason. But then again I have OCD as well. But the number 617 didnt come to me til I was about 21. My ex fiancee asked me what my favorite numbers were and I told him "617" he got angry with me and told me to knock off the biblical religious shit and that it was a number I had picked up from the bible, which I dont believe is true.
My mate on the other hand, if I remember correctly believe 3am is a time where he gains power and is the strongest. I guess each time and or number has a significant meaning to some of us more than others...
Such a strange lot the number readers. Science? Ha Pseudoscience.

For me it's another topic I like to read about, but not really believe in. I too dream about numbers sometimes, and I believe in dream symbols.
We understand how the world works through mathematics. Numbers and symbols can have certain meanings for interpreting things.
The short answer - not at all.
There are several explanations for numerology, not least of which is the fact that we are hard-wired to recognize patterns, even there really isn't an actual pattern.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Evidence, not anecdotal stories, superstitions, similarities, coincidences, etc. But real, hard - verifiable - and logically consistent evidence that can link all the various numerological forbiddens together to show some fundamental underlying support. AND predictive power. All good scientific, mathematical, medical etc. theories make predictions.
If they fail then the theory must be revised or tossed aside.
So us some proof that doesn't rely on the falsity of correlation = causation.
Same with astrology for that matter.
I believe in Numerology, more than most things. Numbers are static and can tell you a lot about yourself. I have done my own numbers and was blown away by how accurate they were. But, they aren't for everyone.
"But they aren't for everyone." What exactly does that mean?
Are you meaning they don't work for everyone? Or that they work, but people won't accept it?
I pay close attention to what I name my children because of numerology. That is all.
my friend told me she beleived that the angels talk to you via numbers , she even gave me a link to check I would admit it would be kind of conincidence yet sort of logic in a way that I see always the same 2 nmbers over and over, almost everyday either 00:00 on the clock or 11:11
I can't help it I see it, it like I got to look at the clock whereever I am at the moment its like a bing and got to look, if I am asleep I'll wake up to look at the clock and see the 00:00
I think it can be possible that it is the angels talking to me, but on th eother hand can also be just some random coincidence
Numbers are one of the few things in society that have always remained constant and enduring, so of course in my opinion numbers mean things
traditionally theres a stigma about 3, 7, and 13. 3 being lucky as its a trilogy. 7 being lucky, and 13 being unlucky.
i have my own system for which numbers mean what, not in terms of lucky/unlucky though.
so yes, i do believe in numerology.
my beliefs in numeral meaning come from the basic idea behind the minor arcana tarot cards.
1- newness
2- pairing of opposites
3- growth
4- logic/reason
5- uncertainty, change
6- harmony
7- wisdom
8- regeneration, new life
9- almost complete
10- completion
I definitely believe in Numerology. I saw one commenter mentioned it as being an OCD complex - which is definitely an interesting concept! I know when it comes to adjusting the volume on the TV or radio, I can only have the second number be 0, 1, 3, 5, or 7. I don't like even numbers (my husband prefers them - weird, huh? Anyway!)
Numerology is significant in many cultures around the globe. Have you looked up anything about what your number is, based on your birthday? It's a really simple formula. I'll use mine as an example. :)
The number that represents me is 5. Here's how I came up with that:
My birthday is October 10, 1983. For Numerology, you would write the formula as 1+0+1+0+1+9+8+3 = 23, then 2+3 = 5. It's really fun to play around with stuff like that. If you have any special anniversary dates (like with a significant other, or any other major life event), you can find out what that specific day's number is and look up it's relevance to what happened. You'll be amazed by the connections you'll discover! :)
