The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

This is the second Vampire Rave Astral Projection Experiment. You can find the first experiment buried somewhere in the old forum threads. Unlike the first VR AP thread, this one will focus solely on Astral Projection, or Astral Travel. There will be no remote viewing and of course no hints.

We have all heard about people claiming they can astral travel somewhere. The stories are endless. So too, are the many definitions and understandings of what the meaning of astral projection is. From remote viewing to dreaming and everything in between. Folks, daydreaming about your fantasies is not Astral Projection! Sometimes my head wants to spin in circles when hearing some of these tales.

But who am I to say what others claim they can or cannot do? The world is indeed far more interesting than we make it out to be. Right?

However, when the subject and claims comes out about Astral Projection, I think one thing - prove it. If anyone can really perform such a feat, I say, "If you can Astral Project, then you should be able to read the book I left open on the fireplace mantle or at least tell me what's on it. Or maybe the page number?"

Simple enough, right? Now, I don't have any fireplace in my new apartment/flat but I believe the top of my computer desk will serve admirably for the time being. The shelf is also above my eye level so you can't do a remote viewing from me either. But it will be this top shelf where you will find one book, opened for you to read and/or tell me what you see. A picture of my computer desk is enclosed below.

I give no clue as what the book looks like but I will give you this one hint:

The text is not fine print and easy to read, has several easy to remember phrases or topics within its sentences, pictures and pages numbers. You may consider that more than one hint if you must but that's all you get.

Like most things in Life, over-thinking isn't going to be helpful. What will be helpful is to take notes. Do NOT analyze anything you see when viewing. Simply jot it down. Doesn't matter if it makes sense to you or not. This is not a guessing game. What you see - you write down. Simple. Makes no difference which technique you use. You see it - you write it down.

The closest thing I've ever been to Astral Projection is a visualization therapy I had gone for. My spiritual cleanser and I took a trip in a jungle. What amazed me was how we "saw" the same things in the jungle. He would ask what was it that was around me, and he "saw" that too. Funny one thing we did not agree on. I saw a pink rabbit with red eyes instead of the deer he saw. But then the things I visualized were what would normally be in a jungle. Is your book a white one with blue colours on the cover? ;)

I'm not quite certain if what I just did was anything worthy of note, or if it was just hallucinations brought on by a long day. However, I had a random idea to blindfold myself while meditating and trying to create one of those 'golden spheres' you spoke about. Mostly trying to block out any outside interference in the process.

I had all intentions of sending it off to see if it could find anything about your book, and after about 45 minutes of meditation, I 'saw' something about a robbery, specifically at what looked like a convenience store or gas station.

I'll be trying again tomorrow night, but hallucinations of the mind or not, its at least entertaining so far :)

I don't see a book at all.

At this time, there is indeed a book, opened to a certain page. There was no book when I took the picture. You get no hints by looking at the picture. All guess work has been removed for this experiment/ practice.

By the end of the day, I will have finished two Member Pages dealing with Astral Projection. Hopefully I'll be able to have them ready by tonight, if not sooner. One will be one my personal experience and the second, a technique that may prove helpful.

Ok, I get that now...

But astral travel often requires one to either be in a dream state or they have to open the minds eye, or third eye. Either way in order to travel to some where we have to have a place of origin (easy enough) and a mental image of the person or place we are going to.

Since its a book on a desk, and we are using the picture as our guild the picture is our focal point in space and time... and you just confirmed that there was no book at the time the picture was taken, meaning I was correct in what I saw.

Maybe you should take a current picture with the book in place, blur it out as you did before and try again.

The experiment stays as it is. Focus on the shelf if you need or try another technique. There are plenty. My new members page has one people can practice with.

There was indeed "something" on the shelf when I took the picture and is blurred out. If anyone wants to find what that is/was then fine... go ahead. The experiment/picture will still work for you. That "something" is still on my desk.

As for any other 'excuses' as "too dark" 'too close to ceiling' 'spider in corner,' btw, he's name is Harry and he's actually a daddy-long-legs. Please keep them out of this thread from now.

Deal with it all for now and post your results of what you can or have done with it. I can always make another thread later down the road. The more practice with verification, the better anyways.

I know that some will not post their results and that is fine but do write it down somewhere. You can compare it with the final picture later.

Then they have the satisfaction of knowing they did well, I suppose. Self development is, in and of itself, a reward.

Astral projection or travel denotes the astral body leaving the physical body to travel in the astral plane. The book is not in the astral plane so I don't see how this can be astral projection you are suggesting. This seems to me to be more in the area of bi-location. Projecting one's self to another location to view the book you have at your place. I can't do either. My only activity that could be considered remotely of this nature is in my dreams.

It simply is projecting oneself into another location. It doesn't have to be on the astral plane, it can be on the earthly plane as well.

Not according to most authorities. It's not Astral if you don't go into the astral. It would conflict with anything Monroe wrote about it.

The term out-of-body experience was introduced in 1943 by George N. M. Tyrrell in his book Apparitions, and was adopted by researchers such as Celia Green and Robert Monroe as an alternative to belief-centric labels such as "astral projection", "soul travel", or "spirit walking".

These last are not the best used words. The astral is the astral and not the earth plane. I know many have used this word and it has become commonplace but it technically is incorrect. I’m a senior and we would talk of these things and never called an out of body trip astral projection. Monroe and many others state it is merely a shift in consciousness. The astral should be dropped and merely stated as projecting out of the body otherwise it is misleading and the use of it to mean what some are saying is not correct really. I know I’m nitpicking and I don’t want to be bothersome but most never called wandering around the earth plane as astral projection until all of these new age ideas became common with people interested in the unknown.

Well i still have to disagree based on others i know that can come out-of-body and project themselves wherever they want, and bring back proof of being there. So call it what you will. You are still coming out of your body and traveling to another place on Earth. I don't know why people are being so technical about it. It's the same thing.

Also i would like to add that I have seen myself astrally come back to my own body, I have seen myself try to wake myself up when i was sleeping, and i have seen myself walk to a mirror to look at myself astrally which all the above means, i astralled on Earth. So typically, you CAN in fact, go wherever be it universally or here. Ty

Others have claimed thus far to have no issue. I myself have at least seen something, though whether accurate or not remains to be seen, and I just literally begin getting anywhere with the spiritual area of things after a brief few pointers from Billy.

I really think this experiment is completely viable, and that rather than people picking away at it, their time would be better spent just trying. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Also, there is no need to scream :) Serenity helps with this stuff, I've found.

I'm in Charlotte NC. Need me to put a "x" on the roof? Not sure why a soul or astral body would use a GPS but... it's another 'excuse' the Ego uses. Stop using your head. Simply go to where the book is and view it. There is no thinking or reasoning used here.

I'm interested in seeing how more people go about this and what their thoughts are, and am thus reluctant to watch this thread slowly fade into the ether. And so, I'm posting this simply for it to remain in the front page of the threads!

Billythejust, could you please repeat the experiment. I've not been on for a while but I'd love to have a go at this.

I've been astrally projecting for some time and I'm continually searching for some kind of verification so this would be a excellent test. I'd post any results however weird.

I can almost picture the book there very interesting, I was wondering cause I can do astral without even haven my eyes closed, does that mean I am advanced at this?

I do not know how to expiain this but I wanna learn more on wiccan spells and magic if anyone is interested into taken me under there wing let me know.

It would seem that what I thought I 'saw' was just my minds imagination then. I have a long way to go before I can say I'm making decent progress.

Still, this was a great way for me to gauge any practice I've been playing with. Thanks for the challenge!

I know this is not part of your experiment but its important. I have youtherapist who started to hypnotise me at a distance if that's possible at this point of my life I had just come through a bleed through. she then transmuted some of my psychic energy and got a little obsessed and slowly projected my most of my past lives which.were on statusthe surface of my conscious mind into her self and started a littlecharacter assassination I have now through a lot of turmoil been. Able to project my self or past lives image on to the phsycal plain. But theye are permanent. Am I mentally unwell or is this possible

Not a "dear Abbey" thread but it sounds like you are focusing waay too much on past lives. We all them. Move on. Soak in a tub with a few handfuls of sea salt in it. Relax. Dry and focus on yourself at "THIS MOMENT." Nothing more.

Always stay focus and centered in the present moment. Always. Pertains to Astral travel too, which is the only reason way I responded to the above post.

I can only Astrally project in my own bedroom where I sleep. I have heard that people can astrally travel, and can move objects and wake up and see the object move, because you are sending your consciousness out of your body and sending it somewhere else.
