Another thread brought up a very interesting topic of possible ley lines in a members area.
I thought I would further this discussion what ley lines are and how they can effect us.
From Wikipedia:
“Ley lines refer to hypothetical alignments of a number of places of geographical interest, such as ancient monuments and megaliths.”
These have also been used culturally such as the fairy circles and in China these same line are used as guides in Feng Shui. Many cultures (traditions) teach us to live in harmony with our surroundings. IE: The Native traditions of North and South America, The Bushman of the Kalahari, The Aboriginal peoples of Australia many more then time of a decent length of a thread will allow. Harmony has been a central theme for many cultures. We live with these Ley lines and most never ever know they are living over or near these magnetic points. These lines can intersect with each other in many cases causing adverse reactions between the two lines.
These Ley lines aren't only found underneath us but above us as well in for want of a better term the air often geothermic and magnetic energies interact in concert and as often they are polar opposites. I am not proposing people use these forces. I in fact don't think they can be used without great cost to the person or people using them. I do believe that people can feel the effects of these lines because of a magnetic pull and certain people own magnetism.
My question is this what are your experiences with these energies? Good or Negative reactions to these Ley lines ??. Possible up coming events that you feel will happen due to a shift in these energies???
The shift in the ley lines has just happened recently and paranormal activities are affected in the increase of them and strength of them.
I believe the effect is both good and bad in some respects, but what will come of these effects is still undetermined or even how long it will last,so only time will tell of these effects on us all.
The activity of some of the surrounding lines in this area bothers me a bit. Most of the energy is from long ago battles....and I'm not talking the cowboy/civil war type. Some areas show a positive affect...causeing regrowth and structure changes. But most tend to have a very malice radiating from them.
On another ley line note....anyone ever read neil gaiman's american gods? He talks about ley lines in there and how we each give these places power. One of these days I'm going to travel around and see if I can feel it.
Sorry...got a little off topic. please forgive me....
Great topic Mikhail!
It has also been said that places like Stonehenge and similar stone circles are built on these ley lines which makes them great places for to walk the thin line between our world and other planes.
LOL ty Pinklust..I am sorry for being such a ninny as my mum would call me but each of these has made me feel much like an expectant father LOL....Children of my mind
this Question has been sugested to me and I see that it is the better question to ask
From FelixFelix:
How many people feel that their lives, luck, or fate can be affected by the magnetic patterns on our planet?
There's a few things I want to delve into. I've never had what I could acknowledge an experience with ley lines. You've already pointed out that these things could be based on magnetic or polar principles.
It's difficult for me to understand how something like the subtle magnetics of the earth can affect things like behavior and mood (much less fortune or fate as in Fung Shui). However, I do think that it's startling how some ancient sites have very mathmatical lines of construction and are often juxtoposed in ways that line up with geographic, magnetic and astronomical 'landmarks'.
Red - yay mayans? hehe
so are you saying that it's the people's energy that was put into these places (either through war or worship) that gives them their energy?
Alignments and patterns of powerful, invisible earth energy said to connect various sacred sites, such as churches, temples, stone circles, megaliths, holy wells, burial sites, and other locations of spiritual or magical. The existence of leys is controversial. If they do exist, their true age and purpose remain a mystery. Controversy over them has existed since 1925, when Alfred Watkins, an English beer salesman and amateur antiquarian, published his research and theory in his book, The Old Straight Track. Watkins suggested that all holy sites and places of antiquity were connected by a pattern of lines he called 'leys'. Mounds, barrows, tumuli, stones, stone circles, crosses, churches built on pagan sites, legendary trees, castles, mottes and baileys, moats, hillforts, earthworks and holy wells were all thought to stand in alignment. Using the Ordnance Survey, Watkins claimed that the leys were the 'old straight tracks', which crossed the landscape of prehistoric Britain and represented all types of early human activities.
After Watkins's theory was published, public fascination with leys remained high until the 1940s, when it began to decline. Interest revived in the 1960s and 1970s, as part of the New Age movement. While Britain has been the chief site of investigation, there also is interest in France, the United States, Peru and Bolivia. Many archaeologists and other scientists dispute the existence of leys and say the theory originated by Watkins was contrived because Watkins aligned secular and sacred sites from different periods of history. Even ley enthusiasts are divided into differing camps. Some hold that the prehistoric alignments can be statistically validated. Others agree but say that alignments continued in historical periods. Still others contend that leys mark paths of some sort of earth energy that can be detected by, and perhaps was sensed by early humans. The energy is compared to the flow of ch'i, the universal life force identified in ancient Chinese philosophy.
Points where the ley energy paths intersect are said to be prone to anomalies such as earth lights and phenomena and reported sightings of (one theory suggests that the paths are navigational aids to extraterrestrial spacecraft). These energy leys, however, do not necessarily coincide with physical alignments of sites. Despite the controversy ley researchers hope at least to come to a better understanding of ancient sacred sites, and of the people who built them. (From http://www.occultopedia.com/l/ley_lines.htm)
If anyone has read this book, please let me know how it was. I am very interested in finding it.
rayven - you mean the book by Watkins?
So there's a number of different groups on whether it's magnetic, spiritual or astronomical. I'm not a big believer in alien visitation but the way some of the sights form patterns that are mathmatical over huge geographies at least points to a deep understanding of math and the ability to survey over large distances.
What were you saying about the 'spiritual rifts' or how the spiritual world is attracted to these areas? I've havn't heard that. Sort of like a ghostly fault line?
I haven't read this book as it is out of print But I will check and see from another friend how can get a great many of these books and see if I can get a copy and let you know... I read further in the Wikipedia then what you put here it had talked about this the ley lines going back into pre history...Being relearned now by new age relgions.........The concept of how they effect us has always greatly interested me...I have had personal expiriences with them some good some not so good..I always thought it might have something to do with my own moods at the time or if I had been drunk..I tend then to let my own personal shields down and many things can climb abourd...As I no longer drink often the negative aspects of these energies well they aren't the same..I'm not sure if negative is even the right concept for them..They are natural so neutral would proably be a better term
There are ley lines near to where i live they cut right across a path near a very old windmill which is known for drug dealers and rapists.
There was also a train wreck that happened way back when right behind the windmill the course of the track long gone now cuts right through a school where in the Music area ghosts have been seen in victorian clothing.
Ishta - what makes them ley lines? Are they associated with something or is it just the tragedies that caused them?
I think these ley lines affect everyone at one time or another. I think the disharmony that has been in my life has been the result of negative enegry from these lines. Some of it has been because of poor choices on my part and the part of others.
I think that wars may have something to do with these ley lines. Alot of negative stuff seems to come from another place.

You know- we do have far more parallel threads than I would like in the general forum vice threads that deal specifically with vampires... but since we are talking 'energy' here- I feel the general forum is a valid home for it.
I actually haven't heard of the term "ley lines" before but as I read your post they made sense. I read the first response under your post and agree that there was a paranomal shift. I was affected by it personally earlier this year. I was having trouble sleeping and when I would sleep it wasn't for long because I felt such a strong pull of energy it made me restless.
Have you found it VAmpircrose where the energy is coming from???
If so can you now sleep better??
LolitaMarie and Ishta have both brought up interesting ideas about strife or tragedy occurring along ley lines. I'd be interested to know if wars or major battles have been known to occur near them...though firstly, it would help to know where (geographically speaking) if at all ley lines are established and accepted in the metaphysical community.
Are there accepted locations for ley lines in the metaphysical community?
They were Ley Lines where I used to live, one of the reasons I had to move, thery had a very negative effect on the area.
Dark Greeting's, I live in the Sanoran desert in Ariz, USA.All of Arizona is full of Ley Lines,Sadona has a few large nexis points.I personaly have 2 nexis points on my property with 9 ley lines comeing from each ,There are a few really big one's a few miles away.As to how they effect me my magic works much better, although drawing on the lines or nexis points will put silver in you'r hair it turned my friend's eye's lighter. If you arn't careful with them you will get addicted to the power that comes from useing them.It can be like a Drug.It effects my pet's when there is a surge by makeing them all act like "Crack Puppys" the ferret's also.
Dark Blessing's,KA
Ka I have heard that Arizona has the most ley lines never expirienced them myself from the tutle island stories it is said the Anazazzi (sp) open these to go into another world
The older temples one finds in India are built on the points where ley lines cross....its a great energy centre.....houses built on ley lines tend to have a lot of paranormal activity esp. poltergeists.....thats my experience with ley lines.
I was reading your other post and was reading and wondering what a Ley Line was
Ty DaiKini for adding that..I have found Wikipedia to a be an excellent source of information on many things they had much much more about Ley lines then would have been able to be put here in a simple thread...
Yes Lolitamarie brings up a very good point about tradgedies that are loclaized in these area's also...
My wonder is this was the Ley line there already or did it open because of the tradgedy????
Psychic energies have a tendancy to gather at one spot might be the answer to that....i don't know any idea's here from others would be welcomed
I'd never heard of them before this post. I'm definately going to research them now. Thanks for the great info!
I think they ley lines got powerful after the tragedies started and the tragedy fed the negative enegry.
I think negative enegry and thoughts on the part of people will cause ley lines to grow stronger.
sounds good Lolitamarie....Then adverse energies are the cause of the Ley Lines going sour or the negative energy adds to what happens??
I think that both happen. The ley lines grow sour with the negative enegry and the tragedy gets worse.
very good post mikhail, well done, thx for the extra info, very informative!!
Thanks for the new addiction...will research and get back....regards DarkPharaoh
Thank you both for coming by the thread I hope the info can be of help..I to believe there is a shift of balances in energies have for a few years and it is getting stronger towards the negative side......I also believe that people can changes these energies with things that of a good or positive nature...I am again going to give warning about using the energies of the Ley Lines yes the anceints used them but they knew how to tap this and use it as a resource.......There maybe people who are herditary families that still can use Ley Lines but the average person it might be best not to use it as it may back fire on you
The position of the stars have been the focus of mans for thousands of years i believe they effect our lifes greatly, even the sign we were born under
Yes Stormyblonde1 they do effect us but the earths own energies also effect us as our body are made up of a series of chemicals that runs a giant battery run super computer..I dont discount the heart and emotions here not at all just that because we are also to some extent running on a magnetic energy these naturally occuring points within our own planet do have an effect
Ley Lines are the arteries of energy that wrap around and through the planet. Where the lines intersect are nexis points. There is a town in Colorado called Manitou Springs, just outside of Colorado Springs. Manitou Springs is home to several large nexis points. The Native Americans recognized the power that was there and people from around the world to this day go and collect water from the local springs in Ute Pass (which was sold as a bottled healing elixor back in the '20s). The area is ripe with all sorts of energy workers, mystics, druids, witches, and psychics. Oh yeah..self proclaimed energy vampires seem to gather there as well. People have built homes in the shapes of pyramids & spheres to harness the energy.
I don't believe in a ley line being able to be soured. It's energy. It is neither good nor evil. I don't think that they are formed by tragity, but they may be why the spirit remains. The energy may be what attracts or traps the dead.
Thank you Sabastian for this information on Ley Lines in Colorado..
Yes I think they tend to be of a neutral nature. Most naturally occuring phenominon is neutral.
They do however seem to either trigger or harness events in an area.
I lived in San Francisco for a number of years, in the Mission district of San Francisco a number of murders happened close to and one right over a Ley Line.
I'm not sure if this effected the ley line itself but I know I didn't like walking in the area or surrounding area's due to an over whelming sense of disppear and anger.
It might well be true that the people who were murdered in this area can't find a way out so in a way they sour the ley line by hanging around.
Effectively causing people that are sensitive to energies away from this place...Who knows I never went past the study of Ley lines till another thread was opened here about things happening that felt unnatural to this member
"Ley lines are usually associated with ancient religious sites often featuring springs or upright stones. It is believed that the site at Spout Farm, not far from the lakes at Ellesmere, had a well or spring that is now filled in. The name of the farm is also one that is found in other places around the country where there is water. In Shropshire there is a long-standing tradition of mystical wells and springs and some are associated with destroyed religious sites.
The site is also bordered by the old track from Ellesmere to Penley, which appears to run along side one of the ley lines. It is possible that the ancient trees on the site were used as way-markers to help people navigate along the track. Some have suggested that the site was once used as a hill fort, thanks to its steep banks and great views out over the surrounding countryside. In more recent times, a map at Spout Farm from the 19th century shows a building on the site that may have been used as a monastery."
Interesting facts i didn't know about especially there being mystical wells in shropshire.
Dark Greeting's,Yes I to have used them to go to other worlds. One reason I moved to the Wastelands.Other peoples have used them,Novijos,Zuni ( actual ansestors to the Anastia (sp) as have Zuni, new mexico.Write me we'll talk.Thank You.
Dark Blessing's,KA
Yes Ishta I know of the sites associated over the nexuses of the Ley Lines but the lines them selves go for many miles they seem to have many intersections along the way..Stone Hendge being one of the most famous of these sites......They also believe Ley Lines are associated within the Easter Island groups of Monolithic heads. As well as what some think are landing sites in Peru for extraterestials
Ka that is very interesting indeed..I had thought once the Anazazi were over there they couldn't get back how is it that you did???
Perhaps Watkins consumed to much of his own product?
On the otherhand, I believe there is a connection between all things, as in Feng shui, and in turn we are affected by forces we don't fully comprehend. For example, the affect of a full moon on some people. Another example is why does a rainstorm relax some individuals.
hOW WOULD YOU GO ABOUT FINDING THESE LINES IN YOUR OWN AREA?
I suppose I cannot sense energies and spirits any more since I left Africa. The surrounding ley lines is just too different.
The moon has been given a lot more credence on behavior of the average person than studies support but metaphysically, it can play an important role. I don't think we can suppose that every day magnetism is necessarily something that affects our daily moods or fortune but concentrated places of tragedy or violence may be concentrations of planetary magnetism or perhaps a strong point in these ley lines.
Well said FelixFelix...Willowstone one already has to be sensitive to energies inorder to find them they are all around someplaces have a higher concentration then others such as Az and Co seem to have
LordFangor, I dont discount that the Moon has an effect on us all it effects the Tides. I am attempting to get a discussion on magnetic eneries closer at hand here on earth rather then just Lunar energies...People have had what is called moon madness and a number of other things as well for uncounted centuries..I think it goes deeper as we are just well giant batteries supporting the mind IE the super computer...I was once told we are made up of water and about 11 cents of chemicals I am sure the value of these chemicals has climbed in this day and age..These chemicals help us maintain an electrical field that helps run the heart and mind..There for the principal of magnatism applies to us electical fields have also a magnetic discharge..I know I can find a Ley Line by simply walking out my door and stepping over it I do this all the time.....My field has always be different then others..I dont know how to use them and tend to once I have found them to leave them well enough alone. I also believe at one time we knew how to use energies of these sorts but the art has been lost to the majority of people.
These Ley line run all over the earth and have as Sabastion called them a nexus where there is more energy because the lines come together...
These nexuses can be found all over the world and some of our great treasures are found on them ie Stone Hendge, The Pyramids..They had also a lunar function as proven with the great Pyramid of Geza...
The ancients knew much and unfortunately most has been lost due to people being killed as witches and heritics...
No Enlightened your not just I tend to love sharing things that are esoteric and arcane in nature many people in fact dont know about Ley Lines unless they have had something to do with them or live near one or have personal energy fields that react with them

Well ventrueprince2 I'll see what I can get for you and send you some of what I have found
wonders why people don't like coming to the second page hope this gets it back to the first so it is seen
This has been a really interesting thread. I recall reading many years ago about the effects of ley lines on animals. I do think they affect nature to a certain degree and that animals can sense these things. We often hear of dogs acting strange before an earthquake hits, for example. Where I live in the South, we get an awful lot of tornadoes and half the warning signs actually come from my puppy (her cute little mug is on myportfolio page, heh heh). She is definitely attuned in to things I have no idea about and I wonder if te ley lines affect her this way?
Interesting question Suspiria992000..I hadnt thought of the aspect of the effects on creatures outside of people how egocentric of me....
I am trying so hard to keep this alive so others that haven't seen this thread might get the chance..
Even if you don't know about Ley lines energies are energies..They tend to either freak people out or excite them.....
TY RowanTears Looking ofr all things not only a scientific knowledge here

Are ley lines connected to fault lines and magnetic polarities?
ventrueprince2 Will do I'll either send them to you hear or at an e-mail...I have a Linux OS system and well not sure if you have windows it would show up.I can send in installments here on messager .......
inmyshadow. Yes some are but most are not I think it might just be a coincidence that some do run near or parallel a fault line
I was going to close the thread but changed my mind holding it open one more day. This might give ventrueprince2 enough time to get back to me where he would like the info sent

all right will do ventrueprince2.
I'll both add you as friend and see about sending the links for my info to you directly thru messenger here it might turn out to be a cut and paste deal as I seem not to do links very well yet that you only have to click onto.
I tend to lurk but am often here all the same the only time I turn off the lurking is when I'm on as an assistant coven master and someone doesn't get the hint that I am here and to message me anyways

Good to know I'm not the only one that hasn't gotten that down yet LOL
Maybe we have had a shift here. maybe that is why we are screwed. it messed with our minds.
no seriously i have not had any recognition of any problems of any shifting or magnetism.
