In the world there are many psychic vampires: People who feed off the energy of other people's auras. Some of them are not conscious of the fact that they are sucking people's energy.One of my friends is a psychic vampire but she can't suck my energy as i am also one and she has learnt to regret it. There are amulets people can by that supposedly protect pople from psychic vamps but i have not come across one that has worked so far...

I didn't think there could be amulets like that. The unfortunate thing for me, is that I most likely pull Psy Vamps to me. Scares the shit out of me

Where ever one can be placed and not fall off. So around the neck, wrist, ankle, pocket, etc.

After searching "psychic vampire", "psionic vampire" "psi" and "psyonic vampire" and coming up with NO RESULTS; I figure that a newer member asking a reasonable question, at the very least proposing a germane discussion, ought to be allowed a little room.

Certainly Lown, your initial instinct is correct...psi/psy vampires have been dicussed at length here; but I think the question at hand is interesting...can/should...is it even possible that people can use magic (k) against "psychic vampire intrusion"?

That is a very good question. I for one, would to know anything to ward off psi vamp intrusion, and any other psychic intrusion

Here is a spell for those who want to protect them selves form psychic vampires

This is a fairly straight forward spell to rid yourself of psychic vampires (you'll know if you've got one, trust me!)

You will need on your altar :

2 white candles
Sea salt in warm water in a cauldron or bowl
Incense (frankincense or myrrh are good)
Your favorite oil.
Place the candles at the back of the altar, one on the right to represent the God, one on the left for the Goddess. Place the salt water in the centre, and the incense at the front.

Anoint each item with the oil and say :

I ward off negativity in my home, work and everyday life.
No evil or negativity shall enter here.

Picture a white light around you and as it increases to full intensity, picture it surrounding your home and work place Now say :
Psychic vampires in the night
Psychic vampires who destroy my life
Destroy no more of what i achieve
Destroy no more of what i receive
Negativity is not welcome
Evil is not welcome
In me, around me or the people I love.

Repeat this 3 times, then allow the incense and candles to burn themselves out.

Now will this protect from all psivamps or just those whom are lesser experienced?

seeing as i Am a psychic vamp i have had no need to try it but it helps my friends with other psychic vamps and i think it just only works for the lesser ones. it that does not work people could also try Dion Fortune's Ring Pass Not. which involves visualising two rings around your whole body with one spinning clock wise and the other spinning anti clockwise so as to stop the energy sucking entity if it gets through one of the rings

i have tried The ring pass not before i found out that i was a psychic vampire and it did work for my friends when they complaine dof people on their bus who kept on making them feeling tired even though they were siting still

And people who are psychic vamps are usually nice people but there are some that are too used to having power over others and i have had the displeasure of meeting and then confronting them... For some reason people are scared of a 13 year old girl psychically attacking them.
After that i have not met many others

there are as i mention before people who do not know they are psychic vamps but wonder why when anyone's near them the suddenly find the peoplegeting tired. If you are a victim of one of these vamps and don't want to break connections with them, try suggestive thinking. this will make the person suddenly realise what is happening to the people and will hopefully try not to use it on people unless of emergency

And the Amulets ....
The amulets are made of metal like silver or semi precious stones . I find that amethyst and clear quartz work best as they are connected with psychic powers and the fact that amethyst on a silver chain will stop any psychic attacks including the evil eye

Thank you for the info, to protect people around me, I wear my own amulet. I charged it with concentrated energy so I can draw from that instead of my friends. I think it is posted in my journal, and if not I will put it there for everyone to use.

Usually Amulets are worn as a necklace, but it works just as well in a purse or a pocket. The main thing is that you keep it close if you want to draw from it.

I also wear an amulet around my neck that absorbs negative energy through the center. it used to have stone in it but it has since fell out and it has become useful

what type of amulet you wear? i heard that copper works against psychic attacks

I personaly am a psy vampire and I havent ran across anything yet that has prevented me from drawing someones energy. I have found that at times i will drain poeople just by being around them. Sometimes it creeps me out cause i get these big burst of energy and every one else is getting blah. Makes me feel bad at times but. eh what can I do. It is fun to drain people that you do not like, just to do so wether i need the energy or not.

Yes...there are amulets and spells to protect from such things...i'm sure I can dig a couple out and put them in my journal if people really want them. I find copper works as well as clay. What matters most is the will put into them.

Lown, I do not fear psy vamps as people, I fear the power your kind has. And that is enough for me to stay away from psy vamps.

Mis- Are you good at visualization? One of the basic things I learned was to visualize yourself surrounded by a golden light...
I was told it's called "golden egg"
If I know I'm going out with some draining friends...and I dont feel like letting them leech
(mainly cause they dont know they're doing it)
I visualize this before going out. If you can put your will into it and focus every now and then, well. I found it works great for me.

This thread just makes me feel bad isn't it bad enough that some are seperate already..There will always be those who disrespect others..I cant speak for them only myself..I have been in deniel about my own talents so long I cant even name what they are..I know I feed off of others..I dont ever think this has been intentional at all just something that happens..I am now learning to contain myself and what I know is inside of me..That spell may very well work and I might even have suggested doing it two years ago myself..But it says in a way I am something evil..that something inside of me seeks to destory others..I dont I never did..I create.........

I have tried visualization. The problem I have with that, is that I have a hard time keeping my mind focused.

Lown- I may fear your powers, but I am also naturally attracted to vampires. I fear psy vamps, only the ones who do not know what they are, because I have felt them taking from me. I broadcast WAY too loudly, and my energy with it. I have no control over it, and it scares me. Yes, I will admit my fear, as well as my weakness.

As for me personally...never said it was an evil thing. Try to understand it from an innocents point of view. Walking down the street someone bumps into you...it may be harmless and unknowing, but they got you in a good spot and it smarted. The next time you walk in that particular place...or recognize that person...it is natural to want to tighten up your stance. Be on guard for that which initially jarred you.
So, I believe it is the same defense some people look for against Psi's.
You have good and bad in every person. What your abilities may intale are not evil persay....but some who are sensitive may see them as unwanted advances and may want a little padding.
::shrugs:: Hopefuly this seems less of an atttack. I dont think the people here mean to attack anyone and there abilities or beliefs. I think they are just looking for a better way to cope.

I raised a pys vamp and am very proud of him. I am very proud of the fact that like every other pys vamp I know, he will stand up against the fear mongers amoung us and try to let the truth be known. The only thing to fear really is fear itself. My son was actually 19-20 before he even learned to feed from humans. I taught him long before he even know he was a pys vamp to feed off of the universal energy. Most pys vamp do perfer to feed from humans because the energy is closest to what they need. people spill energy all the time. what is wrong with collecting it?

i dont know much about Psychic Vampires but i do have friend that i feel suck everything i have, since im a giving caring person, i just dismiss it as they are really needy. but who knows....

Oh yea. Because blocking for me is just that simple. I've gone my whole life without control over that part of me.

can you really let someone take what you wont allow, if someone wants to drain your energy cant you be strong enough to fight it. and if not then do you look to suck someone elses engery from them to replenish your own. as a whole humans are need creatures. mostly out for themselves. thank goodness i believe in karma.

and in reply to some questions my amulet that i use for when i need to consume energy is made of pewter. And the spell is meant to stop psy vamps with evil intent

....As most of us are considerate and ask. Some are scared of us for no reason just because we're different. And i haven't heard of many people using their psy vamp talents for healing. can some please elaborate on this healing?

I'm sorry to probably piss off most of you, but I think psychic vampires don't exsist, I think people say they're psychic vampires because they know they can never be a real vampire.

I have a friend who reckons he's a psychic vampire. he tried to 'drain' me once and surprise surprise, nothing happened.

What is normally termed as psychic vampirism is actually nothing to do with proper vampirism.
A psychic vampire is someone who seems to get everything someone else wants, and makes people feel listless around them. It is nothing to do with vampirism, it is to do with esp, so they say.

well if a psy vampire is trained, you dont usually feel drained... as psy vampires are not evil... they just take what they need many times... about not being drained by your friend, maybe he wasnt a psy vampire at all... it is not something of fashion, its something in you that you discover over time... and many ppl are psy vampires without even knowing...

I did not read her post. I only read the part where she said she didn't read other peoples posts. Usually a vampire like me will be attracted to a target on which has something to offer, targets whom hold no quarry for thought from ignoring other people's minds usually have nothing on which to feed. These types don't believe psy vamps exist, that is because none has bothered to drain their empty minds.

Thank you Lown for rreading what I had to say..I will reread you profile as it was actually one of the ones I read and helped me realize what and who I am..To the person claiming were not really vamps well i say this what is a vampire then but someone who either takes intentionally or unintentionally from another whether it be energy or blood..I happen not to want to take human blood as that are many things wrong with it one being if I should happen to lets say have a taste bud that is infected and this person I might bein feeding from has something AJAX cant wash off I would rather not come down with something I have been able to avoid by sheer chance or Miricle and yes I believe in those as well..I again agree with Lown here why come to a thread unless you are willing to read what is said these are discussions..you dont have to agree with something said but have respect for all and how would you know you havent perhaps slighted someone even unintentionally if you dont read them all????...
