I posted a question on making a vamp like the ghost Philip.
Would you explain to me what you think a vamp is.

I feed on energy for magic, i drink the blood of my sexual lovers, my soul is very dark and I believe love is the law love under will… I guess im at the starting point of damnation, however im not a vampire

A vampire to me is me. Someone who feeds off of someone's energy. I do this through blood, but other's will do this through psy energy. It doesn't matter how they feed off the energy of other's.

A vampyr can feed of various forms of energy....blood, psy energies, emotions, soul energies, astral energies, and more.

To me a vampyr is someone who can feed off of these energies. I do not belief that a vampyr necessarily needs to feed on blood to survive when there are so many other forms of energy available.

I know of a few vampyr who feed off of energies given out from electrical current.

I believe this one has been hashed a few times over....



*sigh* But anyways, a vampire means a variety of different things these days. It encompasses anything from role players to those who live the lifestyle, to those who are actually vampires.

Those who are actually vampires don't do it for reputation, we do it because we just are. It's a deep seated need for energy because ours doesn't sustain us on a day to day or week to week basis. As a matter of fact, most psychic vampires that I know or have met have damage to their energy body and must supplement their lack of prana with the prana of others. We have to take energy to maintain balance in our own selves, which lack energy to otherwise maintain a sense of normalcy. Energetically speaking, we tend to run a pint low, as it were.

Blood vampires? They exist, but I haven't met one who was truly a vampire.

This is quite a good question.....a vampire to me is someone that feels the urge to feed on blood or the energy off another being..=)

A drinker of blood.

A drinker of blood, not all pointed to human blood. A person of reason to keep things in balance.

only the vampires in the movies can be killed by sun light but a real vampire drinks blood also but crosses wont kill them and there are isp Vampires in which that they will drain your energy and trust me they can cause Ibelieve they they are out there

a vampire to me is a non-living person who feeds on blood alone and like to stalk pretty young girls and the turn them itto a vampre so they can stay together forever.

A vamp..to me,is just another being..that has to live on this plant with the rest of us.

A vamp to me is a person who cannot survive without either sustanance from blood or energy from others.

Well the vampires from my book and currently video game idea are half human/ half demon (fallen angel). They were born normal and have pretty normal lives until they gain knowledge of their blood line. Many of them have to be first born in order to be immortal and to be consider a full vampire. The term vampire did not come latter. Some known vampires is Vlad (I took that idea cause I thought it would be a reconizable character). His father was a demon who raped his mother or so his mother says. The same demon also fathered Lilith (yes the goddess). Gilgamesh is mentioned as well but he is not of the stories. He created his own story to put himself in history. He was the first to be mixed and he does not drink blood. Actually his flavor is the screams of sexual lust. Similar to a nymph. He needs sex for strength and that is do to his mother who was a demon who craved sex.

Anyway Vampires in my story are not evil but are used heavily to do damage and even mingual with the half human/ half angel crew which consist of Buddha, Muhammad and Jesus.

But personal speaking what I believe to be vampires is based heavily on mythology and were the term originated from.

Though modern day vampires I do believe are people who crave energy and need it for sanity reasons. I don't think they can die from not drinking blood or taking energy but it gives them an energy they can't produce themselves.

Doesn't like garlic , drinks blood , doesn't have a reflection , doesn't like sunlight , chases semi-clad ,slim, females through the woods at midnight , lives in a castle , sleeps in a coffin , wears a black cloak and has two pointed teeth.

if you want to get really technical a vampire is a parasitic creature who needs to feed off the blood or life force of other living beings to survive

well to me in the last book I am curently writing and the first in english (yeah i write in french 5 books so far ) Is a result of both genetics and secret organisation trying to create the perfect being from some that had already some genetic features of the "typical" vampire.

I have to agree with those that stated the basics of psy vamps, and that true blood vamps of movies do not exist.

I do there that there are malicious spirits that will feed off those around them, that they had ties to in life.

But other than that possibility I view vamps as more of a lifestyle to many, and an attitude for others. By that I mean an intensity that happens with desire, thought and action.

Please remember I even took this with a grain of salt!

A real , vamp.....I physically have not ever met one in person. Of the two types I have discovered, the PSI's understandibly make more logical sense. After all , we have not yet begun to tap into the power of the mind and it's capabilities.

To me?

One who feeds off of others...whether by blood or psy energy, etc in order to exist. This has been said over and over in this thread...I think most have this same perception.

A vampire is one who feeds, either from energy or blood.Who has an eternal soul.
