i can see it being real i mean after all it wasn't that long ago that the silver-back gorilla was a "myth"
I believe I've heard something about it on Discovery or TLC some time ago
i believe it to be real but as for anyone having an actuall encounter , well i believe they would at least get bite or something scratches maybe but who knows
i think it is a great possibility of being real i have heard some stories that it is a creature not of this earth but i believe otherwise myself i know there has been alot of reports on the chupra cabra and there has to be something really about it unless peoples imaginations are playing tricks on them in mass quantity.
I have not read anything about the chupra cabra being seen in some sort of light that was bright enough to see by. It is always someone seeing it from a distance, or attacking live stock. If i was to see something attacking something near me, not only would i be worring about saving my ass, i am sure most animals that hunt at night would seem like monsters. Hell if my face was covered in blood, i would be a monster to most people. We know that nocturnal animals can have a change in normal habits when sick, or dying. But untill i see one alive, i will not belive in them.
Their has been many sightings of the Chupa Cabra, and all of the people who have seen it, atleast one has to be telling the truth, so yes i believe in these types of animals...
I haven't seen one so its hard for me to say if I believe in it or not. I can't trust someone else's eyesight over mines - do they all have 20/20 vision like I do? I doubt it : /
Awwww, what a cute little dragon they drew for a description!!
LOL, I think it is all myth. I would think that by now someone would have discovered this creature, with all the different types of "hunters" we have in this world. Plus, don't you all think Hollywood would've made a movie about it by now?
I have seen specials and tv shows on the chupa cabra.. one would think that if such creature exists.. then there would be more people looking for it.. but you have many looking for big foot and the locke ness monster as well
Chupa Cabra must be real because they are in many different vampire book that i own.
Sometimes in our world there are still things yet explained. This is one of the myths that has lore to its existance. i do believe that such a creature may be out there. many specials have ran lately on this creature and yet have left with no results. yet someday it may come to light.
Ok its ElChupa Cabra and its name means the Goat sucker orignally the ledgend started in Rio.Many cattle were mutlated chickens were torn apart. They were blaming coyotes but Mange wolfs are most to have done It.Then the ledgend spread to mexico how I have no clue more cattle were found with two small holes in the neck and completly draind of blood word spread that a tiny 3 foot hairy red eye monster was seen at a ranch the next day someones cow was dead.
I live here in southern cali and the El Chupa Cabra is suposed to be the blame for a local chicken ranch being shut down.
400 birds found mutlated and dead. The press and the owners blamed coyotes but the chickens had no blood and only small holes in the neck go figure. And incase any one wants to know I wrote this so no cut and paste.
It is El chupa cabra said above and literally it means goat sucker people have believed it to have originated in Puerto Rico living in mountains. I remember discussing this in a biology class and how most people think it is an unknown animal and that the things said about it were just to scare people.
I honestly believe this to be myth and only myth as there is really no conclusive evidence about it. Just words said by people and stories told.
Thankyou for the correction on the location.Of the orgin and its spotted in rio as well and mexico and southern califonia.
Their are a lot of people looking for the Chupa Cabra, its just not as popular as bigfoot and the lock ness monster...
Ah yeh i've heard about this before and watched something about it on the telly. Yeh i think it exist's but never known anyone to have had an encounter with this creature though.
This animal is something that's always struck my interest sine I first heard about it. I believe it's entirly possable for this creature to exist. There are to many things scientists and specialists are debunking to "Natural" causes. It seems to me scientists will look for anything natual, no matter how far-fetched or crazy it may sound, to discourage a supernatural occurance. That's why I always keep an open mind. It's entirely possible.
ive heard of it on T.V shows but i think its just myth. A way to explain wierd deaths.
I love the story of the Chupacabra. I think it is fun. I have myself dug up some info in past months. I still find it hard to buy though. Some "creature" , some "alien" ? You all know how "stories" get around , don't you? I have no doubt in my mind something is killing these animals , but I don't think I would break out the crosses and holy water yet. Some animals are known to kill in these fashions.
A small example , I went to feed my chickens one evening in our old barn , these were big laying chickens , around 8 to 10 pounds ,dressed , not the small Bantom type , with ease they could cause a fuss. In any rate , I came in again the next morning to find 47 DEAD birds , ALL with their heads bitten and blood drained........not too hard to figure out. I finally caught the "creature" , one time when he got carless. Turned out to be a 4 foot mink. Needless to say he was peppered with the scatter gun!
I could see through "stories", how some of natures animals could in somes way be distorted due to diesase , malformation , or even rummor , too make them out to be a supernatueral villians.
Well, I believe it is a Mexican myth. Perhaps you should ask a Mexican.
I think it could be real, I mean if there's a scooby doo movie about it it has to be real! [that wasn't as sarcastic as it sounded]
I've heard of this creature before. Perhaps it is easier for the human mind to accept belief in a creature that sucks blood from animals than it is to accept stories of something that would prey upon them.
i definately feel this creature does come from our world and is not alien in any way as some may suggest.
I have heard it is from Mexico, but have not done any studying on the creature you named. Supossidly it is like the Big Foot creature on the U.S.I had not heard that it feeds on blood however.
I think anything is possible, as far as if this creature exists.
Personally I think it's a myth...but confess to wanting it to be real.
Almost every culture has their myths that they truly believe in and this is one of them, look at bigfoot, or the elusive loch ness. these myths may be lore untill they are proven, just like the giant squid. Do i believe in this yes, the myth had to come from somwhere, besides in the head of a drunk. a sighting or glimse or just unknown facts yet explained.
I'm one of those who has to "see it to believe it". So at the moment no. Every documentary that I've ever seen trying to investigate such an animal either 1. Doesnt even get close 2. Just "misses it" or 3. Obviously staged.
Haven't seen one yet. As to the fact that they exist. Might be, there is so much still unexplained in the world.
interesting picture. But why not be real? Aren't leaches and mosquitos real enough?
i have seen suposedly real pictures and they look very convincing but it is hard to tell if real or not
I have seen pic's to the face look's alien like..lol but they suck blood outta goat's and other animals ect.. As for being real who is to say. It was first reported to have been seen in puerto rico. Here is the site I got info from...
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chupacabra
Almost all "sightings" have been in Centeral America or in the Islands of the Caribbean...so most Americans wouldn't "see" the creature.I for one do not believe that such a creature exists, but all cultures have a mythical creature to believe in.I would have to see an actual one alive,a dead body or something attached to it.Though this one mans opinion...it is my belief system as well.
I love the pic that makes it seem like a cute little dragon :D
How great is that?
Most descriptions make it seem a bit more alien sounding...or looking:

do you think maybe this can be a part alien and part something else can it be possible that ancient egyptions could of had these types of creatures and mybe something had triggured them or one to re born
As far as i know the first The first chupacabra sighting was in Puerto Rico in 1975, then from their on they have been seen a lot in diffrent places...
I think that it is possible, I mean something is killing all of those animals and those people are seeing something.
i think it is a posbility that these creatures are just something that has lived long ago and jsut happened to survive the changes to why they are still around today.
maybe your right.....maybe they have survived this long......who knows...
that is very cerious, iv been surching on line and havent found anything yet, where is every going for there info on it
everyone usually goes to google.com for a general search on the subjects at hand.
