how do we know if all that we are today is vice versa.... like when we die we are going to the past life where we once was and this life was a test of something..and when we die we go back to how we once was.. and i understand alot of people like to or live the vampire lifestyle. now who sais it cant be that you true life liveing of todays vampires came back and today liveing the ways that you have to but are really form the past.....if this is not understandable please ask and i will try to exsplain again

i feel that anything is possible we just have to use our own personal experiences and try to figure this out on our own .

This is one of those topics to which there is no way to know the answer.

There are multiple theories, some complimentary, some diametrically opposed as to the relationship between "this life", possible previous lives and what happens after death.

It all comes down to individual belief. There really is no theory that will gain universal acceptance.

I feel that since many people believe in past lives, when we die we are creating a new "past life". This being said, I don't feel that we would go back to our past life. In fact I think that we would start a new life in either another form of life, or as a different person.

I think past present and future are all interwine all together, one cannot exist without the other.

see that is true to about the test thing... i just dont understand why there are so many things that we cant and dont understand and its a shame that things are hidden from us.. i think wed have the right to know right ? its weired if you think about it.. theres life styles of vampires,goths,ect ect and all is from past history... why are we drawn to this as we are.. and with it igsisting now as well as the past are we not who we are said to be

No one knows what is going to happen when we die, so this question cannot be answered truthfully by anyone. There are only theories and what if's. Nothing will ever be explained fully until it happens.

Living and functioning as we do in this dimension, and experiencing the constraints of time when trying to understand other dimensions is hard work lol

I would say it would be pointless for us to go backwards as it were.

Perhaps the wisdom of some things being 'hidden' from us is so that we may make use of free will.

I believe that when we die we are reborn into a new body, and the reason that i think we reincarnat into new bodys is so that we can experiance every aspect of life, and honestly i think it would be a waste of time if a person would only live 75 to 85 years then die, i mean what would be the point of that, and i think going back to a past life would be pointless...

i don`t know if i understand the question right but all i can say that we don`t know what will happen after our death, but if we reincarnate i think there must be some reason for it, we still have to do something here

i do not believe when we pass that we would go back to any past life i feel that all of our past lives are carried along with us and that in each life we progress(advance) and learn from our mistakes i do not see that it is a test in general but more of a way of what (choices) we make and choose to as what happens when we pass from this physical to another.

i dont now if we swich places or not some say we come back to live a differnt live with none of our past nolldage so we live a new till we have a perfcite live in our own minds olny then do we gain enmortalty

I believe we bring a little of each past life to the one we have now..so there is no going back..only onward and we learn as we go..so we hopefully improve as we proceed.

as i have mentioned in the "doppelganger forum" i believe them to be of a spirit that warns individuals of events to take place that are negative i purely think their existence is just to be a messenger.
the only thing that connect us to them is our image i feel.

dopplegangers are the people we see that we dont know that looks like us correct.. ? well in what way/ways do they warn us.....
i figured us liveing today is what we are looking at from us being in the past... are we dead today and we was alive in the past

Well this life is a test..... a test to see where we would go in the after life (heaven or hell)

you could say that this life is the next step in to yesterday past life to see if you would do the same thing twice. it that was the test then most people might be doning the same thing over and over agian.

wow thats a deep question. I don't see why it couldn't be that way. Maybe living this life is a test for us. to see how strong we are and how we work things out.

Introducing the concept of multiple reality!

There are several schools of thought who not only believe that lifetimes are NOT sequential (past lives aren't necessarily "past"), but that they occur simultaneously and overlap each other.

With this concept, my past life in ... wherever.. occurs at the same time as this life. And past life dreaming or future life dreaming is crossing between one reality of the self and another reality of the self.

There are suggestions that there are billions of multi-realities all existing at the same time on a different "plane" for lack of a better term.

With this concept, it would be possible on the astral plane (that which lies between), one could meet one's other lives as contemporaries vs past and future selves.

Just as one in this lifetime might be prosperous for deciding to buy a lottery ticket, another reality lifetime may have chosen to not buy the ticket and works full time at their mediocre paying job.

Mind bending stuff, but fascinating.

Simply put, the multiple reality theories suggest existence as not unilateral, but rather each as a facet of an infinite sided diamond, where each lifetime is simply a reflection or facet of conscious decision making.

i think it is hard to say.. i am sure so many individuals wish that they could pick someone famous or even notorious but in the end we are not given that choice.

I think we exist on different levels, in different dimensions, and alternate realities. What we percieve to be is a matter of personal perception of metaphysical constructs.

I have never really thought about it much. I believe you die and go to heaven or hell. Whether we have past lives are not I am not sure of. Sometimes I feel like i am in the wrong time or that I'm in the wrong place. Who knows:)

I don't believe that we regress. What would be the point. I think with each lifetime, or reincarnation, we get ahead. We may just remain the same if we were an awful person in a past lifetime. I think this is what you are asking.

or even go to a animal shelter or get a animal from anyplace..do you ever wonder if that pet is someone from past life...

I believe that when we die, we reincarnate. Depending on what we have done with this lifetime, say, good or bad, determines what we need to do.

I do believe we come back and that every life we live is another lesson we are ment to learn and if we don't learn it we will come back and live the same life style. That suicide is not learning and that you will have to come back and do the same things over till you are able to learn whatever you are ment to

I belive our souls move forward each life is a learning level that we attain higher spirituality from, and do that we gain in our next life, if we live an evil( and I mean that is the sense of murderer, child molesters etc...) then we come back at lower level of existence.

An interesting topic for sure. It all comes down to an individuals beliefs. If you believe in reincarnation or past lives then each life may be a test...to see if we have learned from our mistakes. Maybe once we get the life right, we move on to a different plane of existence. I guess we will all find out eventually.

Dude, we're alive. If not... the land of the dead has really made some strides with the advent of the internet and all that jazz.

Its hard to say what happens after we die. We may go on to living another life, we may go to heaven/hell, or we may all become spirits. I have even heard someone taking about people becoming stars after they die but I think they got that idea from The Lion King. I think we all look different than what our souls look like. So I think that when we die we go to another place and we will look like what our souls look like. WOW I hope that made some sense!

the thing is theres so many questions out there that has so many answers that we really dont know.. and to hear others opinions are great.. because u see others beliefs and all to me questions like this i get into.. if your really into knowing something and u know that you are not getting the correct answer or are you ... it gets quite anoyeing

Sorry that this doesn't help much... But I've got to say it. I'd like to see hell, or at least pergatory. but my major belief is that there is no point in pondering such a subject because we'll all see for sure when we get there... as for me personally, I will have since ceased to care.

Well that's a good one...no one has recolection of what or if we even had a past life....and no one has been seen to return from the other side as of yet now Christ like event has occcured.

Honestly I believe we only get 1 chance at life if we screw that up there are no do overs. In my opinion there is no past life, and no such thing as reincarnation. The life we have now is it.

How ever there is a possibility of an after life, and judgement day is enevitable.

this "life" is just a virtual reality computer game. total immersion games enable you to interface totally with the computer, with your environment being downloaded directly into your brain. in order to enjoy the game fully, the program blocks off all memories of your real life existence, so you perceive the game as your only reality.

of course, the system is not perfect, and sometimes there are little glitches, allowing you glimpses of your real life and vague memories leak through. for this, the manufacturers of the game apologize sincerely and hope this does not detract from your enjoyment of the experience.

That is a very deep question.

I'm sort of confused, (not anything new), but to the best of my understanding it would involve your belief structure.

Life is like going to school. When you go to your first day of class you are given a book. But you don't read that book all at once. You read it letter by letter, word by word, sentence by sentence, page by page. You learn from that book. Eventually you are tested on what you learned from that book, but not as soon as you get it.
The way that I see life, is this. A letter in that book is an hour. A word is a day. A sentence is week. A page is a year.
Sometimes if we fail the test that the Universe gives us, we have to re-read that part of the book. If we choose to learn little, or nothing in a lifetime. Or we miss the intended message entirely, we may have to repeat a lifetime but it is rare.

Interesting concept. Will have to think further on this one. Certainly I see the soul as a form of energy, which cannot be created or destroyed, and time bneing a non-linear process could certainly explain what you mean.

There are a number of religions that maintain that the purpose of life is to afford an individual the opportunity to ascend spiritually to a level where he/she is deemed worthy to reunite with the Divine... if that opportunity is squandered then the soul is returned to relive another life on and on until the transcendence is achieved... this concept has been assimilated by christianity with the concept of purgatory... spiritual advancement does not need priests churches or dogma only a sincere desire to reach spiritual peak...
